    I love how they been showcasing how similar Chase is to House, immediately testing theories and slightly fucking around with people, they always rub on our face how Foreman is getting “just like House” while never referencing the fact that most people who work with House are based on one aspect of his personality, such a well thought out show

      @@mimio008 Foreman is his temper and desire to help others (Which despite what House says, he does constantly try to help people. Nature of being a doctor.) Chase is the charm and the science half, since he's always looking for smart creative solutions and though house is typically sarcastic he can be very charming at times. Cameron I can't really think of an answer for mostly because she's so forgettable but partially because I think there's always one person in the group who has no connection with the House mentality such as Taub and Masters. Thirteen is taking Chase's place as charm and smarts, Kutner was curiosity and taking from houses devious nature. (Literally how he got the job. Fucking around and flipping his number upsidedown) and Adams took over Foremans spot of trying to help people while still retaining a lot of that internal anger Foreman and House both have.
      It's worth noting I don't necessarily think it's intentional to have the characters mimic a piece of House's personality. It's just what makes for good television for him to be interacting with people who agree with him in some areas and don't in others.

      Of course we aren't shallow. Men have a tendency to showcase traits that seem weird or off putting and don't care. Like they should. Women on the other hand do care, and they are all about presentation to an extent, especially if you're genetically special, like 13. And Women being more in tune with emotions and have better listening skills is absolute horseshit. Cause women commit the same flaw like most human beings do. They see what they see, they hear what they hear. And that's ever more apparent in relationships when both individually don't see what they did wrong. And since women are more likely to be seen as a pillar of morality, and for some reason it's apparently impossible for women to be just as evil and despicable as men. Apparently. Point is, vagina = benefit of the doubt. Dick = *insert feminism jargon here*. Insert whatever you want, misogynistic, violent, evil, pedophile, etc etc. You get my point. Anything along the lines of black/white morality. It's allot more convenient to make a choice when it's just pure good and pure evil am I right?

      That being said, because of your paragraph, I so liked this snippet of the show, because it alligns with my truth on the subject.. while the sexes indeed have differences between them (both genetically and programmed by society), on basic biological level we are humans, which means we would exude the same set of behaviour or instincts.. in this scense, we are all enticed by the looks of a person at first.(and how could it be different, if you dont know them) Its logical, I think, because this is not only beauty (thats subjective).. hormones, chemistry, biology...
      Both sexes mistake lust for like, its human, its hormones, it is how the brain works. They project the vision they have of tish person, onto the person, without actually getting to know them..
      They are so many things in play, when it comes to humans and interpersonnal relashionships and so on.. me personally, I cannot find a person attractive, if I dislike their personality(from experience) .. I think it can go both ways for both of the sexes.

      You're right about one thing, though- women do stay with abusive boyfriends, but looks have nothing to do with it.
      It's mostly psychological, like Stockholm Syndrome or (there are a lot of ugly pimps out here in Chicago) a feeling of comfort and safety (the girls tend to gloss over the beatings in their own minds.)
      I'm not saying attractive people don't have natural advantages, but that doesn't automatically make them assholes, nor are all women _(3.5 Billion people!!)_ the same.
      That's just ridiculous and leads me to believe that you're either too young for experience with women, or are the classic "nice guy" they cry to when they have problems, because you're too boring for anyone to date.

    Society talks a lot about racial, gender and economic privileges yet we barely talk about the privileges you get from being attractive. That would be an interesting discussion.

    • @narusenval
      @narusenval 5 лет назад +147

      Attractiveness can be fairly subjective so it's a lot harder to get people to talk about it (you have to draw the line somewhere between attractive/unattractive but where?) especially since no one wants to think of themselves as ugly.
      Talking about race is easy for instance since it's litterally black and white and no one would be ashamed of the colour of their skin whereas ugly people may feel ashamed of their body and even be in denial about their (un)attractiveness.

    • @HolyLifealchemist
      @HolyLifealchemist 5 лет назад +36

      There are classes out there that do in fact talk about them. Interestingly enough, those three things you mentioned contribute GREATLY to societies attractive standards. It actually defines them. Case in point clothes that are too big because you can't afford the latest trends (labeled as unattractive). Especially if you're a man as you're more expected to "provide" in the relationship. Not all of course, but many still hold these traditional beliefs. Don't get me started on Asian men (race and gender). People like to sugarcoat it but it's sexist racism.
