Great video and explanation! I was wondering if you were to conduct an experiment to demonstrate ocean acidification, would this method be the most accurate or are there other chemicals that better demonstrate CO2 in normal oceans?
Hi, that is a good point. This is really more about acid rain. For ocean acidification, you can just breathe out through a straw into a beaker of water with universal indicator in it. You could also use a soda stream to bubble CO2 into the water however, the effervescent bubbles are not the best model. I have seen something with limewater before but have never done it myself. Good luck.
I could demonstrate how acid is deadly to fish by putting it into vinegar, but that doesnt explain anything. It has no basis for reality, how long does it take to adjust the ph of seawater using only atmospheric ambient co2?
Good question. I don't think they can answer that question. Climate science is constrained by its atmosphere bias and a reliance on fossil fuel emissions to explain all observed changes. Pls see tambonthongchai.com/2019/12/14/ocean-acidification-2019/
Is still go to neutral far away from acid. The change is a little and we don't have data about pass. Changes and difference in measurement. Before 1988 all data is a nonsense. Great reef barrier observations shows that doom theory is an mistake. Nature is chaotic can't count on models
nice demo. However, it is over simplified, given other gases from exhaust such as NO2, and NO etc.

Thanks for sharing! Can you do this with regular water?
Yes that should be fine. As long as the pH is fairly neutral.

ocean water does not have free floating cetic acid, whereas the idea should be to mimic what happens in the ocean....
Ocean is neutral or weak alkaline using word acid making hysterical reactions.
True but the pH of the ocean is lowering so it is becoming more a icidic

Ocean is not just water. This video is a joke. No proportion.
