Hello Stellar Guitarists! In today's beginner guitar lesson I show you how to play Zombie by The Cranberries.
All you will need are two fingers to play most of the chords! How cool is that? This makes Zombie super beginner-friendly and fun to play if you are a newbie on the guitar :)
I have kept this tutorial short, sweet and as simple as possible to ensure even the most inexperienced guitarist has a shot at mastering this iconic song.
What you will learn in this tutorial:
- 4 easy chords using only 1 or 2 fingers on your left hand
- one easy strumming pattern

powerful song. I struggle with the thumb-over version of D/F# but now you've shown me there's an easier way to do it. the class I started with skipped easy chords so I had a hard time at first.

Thank you for this, i have one question if i may ask. I did the strumming with ddd du but the problem is when i start to sing i cant stay straight with this strumming 😅. I feel i cant sing with, is it going to change by the future ?
Hi Yusuf, try to play with one down strum on beat 1 for each chord and try the singing. Only once you can do this, move on to adding more strums. Good luck and yes, it will get easier with practice and patience 👏
