I would love you to do a meal prep focused on freezable meals. I used to prep tons of food at a time to put in crock pot or oven before I was vegan and I haven’t figured out how to transition that.
I am a little bit late but you can almost put everything in the freezer. Like pasta with sauce or just the pasta sauce, soup. I just put things in the freezer and try it. If it is still good i will remember that and put it in the freezer next time i make it. Just don't put things in the freezer that are only nice when it is fresh. Like food with avocado and lettuce.
I'm a student but once I leave for the day I'm usually away until 7pm/8pm so I tend to make a bigger batch of dinner the night before so I can eat it for lunch the next day. In the meantime I typically prep some overnight oats for breakfast too. I'd love to see some student friendly, one-pot, recipes that could be meal prepped the night before & added to some salad/kale for lunch the next day, preferably recipes that don't have a super strong smell & can tumble around in my bag for most of the day until lunch rolls around...so no soup for me :(
I'm the same way! I bring soup in a thermos though. In the morning, I boil water for tea, and pour water into my thermos as well. Then I heat my soup until super hot, pour out the hot water, and put the soup in. By lunch time, the thermos is still warm!
I think the thermos idea is really good. heres what i do: i freeze soup in a single-serving glass container and before leaving my house i put it in my bag. it thaws a little bit but of course is still half frozen at lunch, but there's a microwave at school I can use to heat it up. it works great and reduces the mess of carrying soup around.
personally, i'm not an active meal prepper, but i do love making meals that are good leftovers, because i'm the only vegan in my family. i know a lot of people only meal prep one or two meals but for the sake of video structure, i think it's a good idea to keep your meal prep videos at all 3 meals :) (totally not just me wanting your videos to be as long as possible pfft absolutely not)
I love meal prepping. Breakfast, lunch & dinner, please. I work 12 hour shifts 2-3 days per week & need ALL my meals ready to go. Thanks for this. Love your recipes.
I think it would be super helpful to do a video explaining your process for deciding what to make and then how (and where) you shop for those recipes! Like do you research to find best deals or do you shop at thrive and TJs? 😊 I don't mean prep but I do plan weekly!
Shi Brewster Yessss! I was thinking the same thing. Maybe like a how-to video for beginners also? As in, how to shop for food, what supplies for the kitchen may be needed etc. Great idea
I started meal prepping when in school and it was just me eating. Now that I’m living with my husband, I don’t meal prep as much because I have to consider what we’d both like to eat but when I do, it’s usually lunch and supper, and occasionally overnight oats. These look delicious especially the lunch bowl! Yum!!
typically when i meal prep I search a bunch of recipies before deciding on a breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipie (I meal prep all three) but this video just made it really easy for this week! Thanks Caitlin! You're one of my top favorite vegan bloggers
I just meal prep breakfasts and lots of ingredients that I’ll use throughout the week in either lunches or dinners. A lot of times by lunch is leftovers from the night before. Love our videos. Thanks so much for the Inspo.
I dont necessarily prep individual meals but i prep rice, beans, potatoes, broccoli, and carrots. Then from those cooked ingredients, i make burrito bowls, tacos, potato hash, soups, salads, etc. I can combine ingredients and spices for whatever i want that night
I am able to work from home two days a week, but I also work two jobs right now. I don’t meal prep every meal but I definitely do 5 meals plus breakfast. This would be my three lunches for the office and two dinners as I usually work two nights a week. This still gives me a balance of cooking some also. So keep dinner meal preps!
I meal prep about once a week for work. Usually some sort of Bean/red lentil veg soup or stew, with a side of oil-free roasted Potato wedges or basmati rice, with celery stick or some salad. 3-4 Day prep.
Hi Caitlin, I usually meal prep lunch and dinner every Sunday. This generally lasts until Thursday when I cook again. Breakfast is a protein shake or oatmeal prepared in the morning . Sometimes I'll also do oatmeal on Sundays, but it's really when I come home from work that I want food to be ready. Have just started watching your videos and enjoy them. ☺
I made all three meals tonight and I can't wait to dig into them tomorrow! I snuck a taste of the roasted veggies and lentils with the Rosemary garlic cashew cream and YUM!!! Thank you for the inspiration!
I do meal prep our dinners . . .our family of five is busy in the evenings with kids sports and activities. I need to have everything made ahead and divided into individual glass containers so everyone can eat when they need to. Thanks for your AWESOME recipes/vegan meal inspiration and I hope you keep up with the dinner meal prep videos because I do use the dinners! (As a side note I don't use breakfasts too often though because everyone just has their own thing in the morning) thanks!
I don't always meal prep but when I do It is usually about of the 5 lunches I need for the week. That way I can just grab them and go in the morning. Great fall and meal prep recipes! I will definitely try some of these!!
I do meal prep every week. I do breakfast and lunches always, and sometimes dinner when I have more time. A breaky-lunch meal prep video would be useful for me :)
I made an overnight oats version of that oatmeal last week! So good! I meal prep twice a week since I’m cooking for me and my husband. Most of the time I do all three meals, but sometimes jsut the first two meals, depends on the week and our plans
I only prep breakfast and lunch, but I love seeing you prepping for all three so there are more suggestions for what to prep as lunch. Like you said the soup could be eaten at lunch as well and some people might not like Buddha bowls as much so they still have two great suggestions. LOVE your videos!
I meal prep lunch and dinner so please keep this up! I actually don't meal prep breakfast. I tend to meal prep ideas that could work for lunch or dinner -3 or 4 meals at once - and then rotate them for lunch or dinner throughout the week. Thanks for all your awesome videos!!!
Thank you so much, loved this video!! I meal prep every weekend for my school week. I usually always prep my lunches for every day but sometimes it can get boring eating the same thing for lunch every day so I love these kinds of videos where I can get new ideas! Id love to see more meal prep vids from you hehe. Lots of love from Switzerland
Just found this channel, the meals look awesome and would not cost a fortune to make ,your voice is nice to listen to and the background music does not irritate.
I meal prep about 5 days worth of food just breakfast and lunch, so I like the variety of having the "dinner" for lunch every other day to get some variety
When I meal prep i do for about 4-5 days at a time for lunch and dinner meals and snacks for 5-6 days. Instead of putting everything in pre-made bowls and tupperware, I store them separately in containers so I can mix and match each food and not get tired of the same meal every day.
I meal prep two savoury main courses on Sundays. So if I'm feeling lazy, I have more than one option, but if I want to cook something fresh one night I didn't meal prep SO MUCH that it'll go to waste. All about the cozy fall flavour vibes rn
Great video!! I meal prep my breakfast and lunch, and I batch cook for dinner, meaning I will make a big batch of beans, some kind of grain, vegetables, etc. and throw them together for dinner each night!
That soup looks amazing! I love soup and I love that it uses black eyed peas and collard greens - 2 ingredients I almost never use, but I always want to expand my bean and green variety in my diet
i meal prep for dinner and lunch, at lunch always brown rice and black beans with something else, this week i'm eating a lentil soup with a tomato base and sweet potatoes, delicious! also, chana masala for dinner which is my favourite food! for breakfast i usually just eat apple with a generous amount of peanut butter
I mostly meal prep my lunches but I like to have two options so I can rotate. But my fave meal prep thing is to make a bunch of ingredients that I can mix and match for a variety of lunches and dinners throughout the week.
I love all three, they will be in my next meal prep for sure. I meal prep 3 days of food, all three and then a day of left overs or out to eat. Sometimes I don’t cook all, and just prep food items. I like to have dinner just pre-prepped. Example the soup, which only takes 15-20 min. I will chop the collard and carrots the day of prep. Day of I quickly put everything together. Please continue sending all three because then if we don’t like something in one we have an alternative. You are amazing!
Hi Caitlyn. I made all of these for this week's meal prep and I love them all!! I even had the soup for dinner last night cold since the building I was taking a class in didn't have a microwave for students and it was still good! I really enjoy the variety and colors in the Buddha bowl. So nutritious and that cashew cream would be good even on a leather shoe.
love the meal prep videos! personally i prefer lunch dinner ideas as i usually just whip something quick up for breakfast or have a smoothie. keep 'em coming!!
I usually meal prep two meals that can work for lunch or dinner and I usually make about 4 servings each. That way I can do something else one day a week if I feel like cooking or if there's food at school I can eat to mix it up. I do not like sweet breakfasts so I almost never meal prep that, and instead eat a packaged item like soylent or granola I made. On weekends I make all my food including a giant savory breakfast.
OMG, I can't wait to try the oatmeal! I love oatmeal in general but I've never tried doing the meal prep approach! I meal prep every Sunday and I mainly meal prep my lunches and dinners so I end up cooking like 10 servings of food to eat all throughout the week, I also go ahead and prep my snacks such as fresh fruit or fruit salads and put them in containers as well. Thanks for all the breakfast ideas I can't wait to try and meal prep that too! Keep those amazing recipes coming!
wow those oats look amazing! i usually use quick oats but i’m definitely going to go out to get some steel-cut oats and try out this recipe! i’m a student, so i meal prep my breakfasts and my lunches when i have class all day. usually i try and use leftovers from my previous dinner.
yum. i meal prep everything for the week. usually a grain, batch of greens and/or root veg, and a couple of protein options. that way, i can mic and match a little for lunches and dinners over the week. i don't prep breakfast, i just have the same quick breakfast each day.
I don't meal prep right now, but when I did (I was only cooking for myself) I was making 2 recipes which happened to make 4 portions each and was eating those for lunch and dinner. 5 lunches and 3 dinners.
I meal prep for work mainly. I'm a live in nanny so i'll be living there for up two weeks at a time, plus cooking for one at work is tough with kids. I try to meal prep things that i can fold into different recipes, so i'm not eating the same thing for a week. I would be super interested in video that accomplishes that. I try and plan my meals for the week in a pyramid style so that I have just enough extra something (like broccoli) made to start the next nights and so on. Pretty much having a different leftover for each night, so i'm not constantly eating the same. I guess you could call it cohesive meal prep. Love your videos!
I’m going to make the lentil bowl for meal prep! I normally just meal prep big patches on veggies and a protein then mix and match to make lunch and dinner
I love all of these!! and I just want to say you have taught me so many good recipes over the years thank you for being on youtube and working so hard.
I loved this! I am in the beginning stages of meal prepping for not only myself (which I am used to) but for my partner as well, which is tough bc he is not vegan. 😞 BUT all 3 of the recipes you made today he would totally eat so thanks! That just made my shopping & prep time soooo much easier. :) P.S.-I am super happy I found your channel! I tend to watch your videos when I’m feeling down and/or uninspired bc they are (maybe weird to say this?) but gentle, soothing & always full of great advice. Keep up the great work!!!
I’m a junior in college and I meal prep either on Sundays or Monday morning and I always make all of my lunches and dinners (for 5-6 days) for the week! For breakfast, I usually make overnight oats the night before so I don’t usually meal prep breakfast.
I meal prep 2 recipes for the week that I'll switch off having for lunch & dinner. For example, this week I made Fried Rice w/ sauteed mushrooms & tofu & separated that into three containers. Then I'm also making a Lentil Soup. If I need extra, I'm actually planning on making the soup recipe from this video, except with chickpeas instead of black-eyed peas! But I try not to waste, so I usually just aim for 2 recipes at the beginning of the week.
I meal prep on Sunday’s for Monday-Friday I cook lunch for work only and cook base ingredients like quinoa whatever bean I’m craving legumes chop my greens for dinner BUT I prefer easier tastier healthy vegan dinner recipes. Most recipes I stumble upon are time consuming & the ones that are easy, well we get tired of. I appreciate your meal prep videos very informative, thank you for posting!
I usually batch cook 3 different meals over the weekend and have the leftovers to eat for lunch and dinner during the week. I would love to see more instant pot/slow cooker meals. I use those for just about everything.
I meal prep every Sunday. I make 5 lunches (all the same) for the work week and 2-3 dinners (all the same). I do it this way because I have a flexible schedule and sometimes I don’t eat my “lunch” meal until 3:30 so I don’t feel like having my big prepared dinner meal that evening. If it’s Wednesday evening and I’ve already ate all 3 of my dinner options then I’ll make 2 more for the week, or usually just pull done one from the freezer that I had leftover from previous meal prep or batch cooking like soup or pasta sauce. I have a smoothie or oatmeal every morning for breakfast but usually don’t prep those until the night before.
I don't meal prep cuz I have enough time to cook everyday. But I like these videos anyway. Sometimes I prep my ingredients but that's all. Thank you C.
That soup though! I can't stop making soup just now, I live in Scotland and it's 0 degrees celcius today so I am all about the soup, will definitely be making it :D
that soup looks great. i meal prep on and off, usually just lunch and dinner and maybe a snack. not big on eating in the mornings and cereal/oatmeal/toast/fruit is simple enough. oooooh a video on DIY fall coffee based drinks would be amazing
I meal prep all my lunches every week, and usually cook dinner two or three times per week and eat leftovers the other nights. I don’t meal prep breakfast, only if I need to go out really early next day but in those cases I do it the night before.
I think Black Eyed peas are definitely a Southern thing. I'm from NC and they were a staple growing up. I actually didn't really like them too much as a kid, but I like them now.
When I meal prep, I only meal prep dinner. I’m not home until late four out of 7 days so I like to have something already made that is filling and nutritious but won’t take long to heat up.
I absolutely love all three meal ideas, you're incredible at coming up with delicious recipes! When I meal prep, I definitely meal prep for all 3 meals, so I would love if you continue to include dinner meal prep ideas! Thank you so much for all this inspo. (-:
OMG Caitlin that lentil bowl with the beets and cream! I can't even imagine the flavor. I HAVE to try this! I LOVE love beets but I hesitate to serve them often because I have four kiddos and beets are so messy!
I have a really nice and easy recipe for stew (in Dutch it is called a stamppot ) it is really Nice i would love to share it. Just send me a message and i will send it.
I basically never mealprep, but I really want to start doing it. I'm about to start my gym-journey, so eating healthy along the way will help me reach my goalweight sooner I think :)
yes i do meal prep! :) I usually do so on sat/sun and prep breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is pretty much a homemade granola and lunch is anything I can shove in my instantpot lol (i've made way too many stews and curries in that xD). Dinners I don't prep because I like to leave one meal kinda open ended in case i wanna go out to eat or just cook something different from what i've prepped. Hope this helps and thanks for the meal prep inspo! :D
I meal prep breakfast and lunch, for some reason I don’t mind eating the same things for those but I don’t like eating the same thing for dinner so I meal plan and prep my dinners as much as possible.
I meal prep on Mondays or Tuesdays (my days off) mainly for lunch and dinner although I sometimes do overnight oats or dry ingredients for oats the night before or prep smoothie bags in the freezer But usually just cook a load of veggies, quinoa or rice and then my teas I tend to batch cook and freeze so just get them out each morning when I get up depends on how organised I am - love the sound of all these might give the oats and soup a try next week :) xx
I would love you to do a meal prep focused on freezable meals. I used to prep tons of food at a time to put in crock pot or oven before I was vegan and I haven’t figured out how to transition that.
soup freezes and reheats very well. I bet you could freeze the soup in this!
I second this, I tend to freeze my preps.
I'm a student but once I leave for the day I'm usually away until 7pm/8pm so I tend to make a bigger batch of dinner the night before so I can eat it for lunch the next day. In the meantime I typically prep some overnight oats for breakfast too. I'd love to see some student friendly, one-pot, recipes that could be meal prepped the night before & added to some salad/kale for lunch the next day, preferably recipes that don't have a super strong smell & can tumble around in my bag for most of the day until lunch rolls around...so no soup for me :(
MartaMonster33 i agree! Her recipes have been a lot of steps lately and its not convenient for busy students like moi!
I'm the same way! I bring soup in a thermos though. In the morning, I boil water for tea, and pour water into my thermos as well. Then I heat my soup until super hot, pour out the hot water, and put the soup in. By lunch time, the thermos is still warm!

MartaMonster33 she’s done so many of these videos, look through her old videos
I love meal prep for all three. Its nice to have a dinner already when you have a long day with the kids.
I love that you do both lunch and dinner because it just gives more options even if we only meal prep lunch!!
personally, i'm not an active meal prepper, but i do love making meals that are good leftovers, because i'm the only vegan in my family. i know a lot of people only meal prep one or two meals but for the sake of video structure, i think it's a good idea to keep your meal prep videos at all 3 meals :)
(totally not just me wanting your videos to be as long as possible pfft absolutely not)
I love meal prepping. Breakfast, lunch & dinner, please. I work 12 hour shifts 2-3 days per week & need ALL my meals ready to go. Thanks for this. Love your recipes.
I travel for work around 40 weeks out of the year and do meal prep all meals! I totally appreciate you keeping supper in the mix!
I meal prep for dinners so please keep them in the videos!! I love getting 3 new meal prep ideas from you :)
I think it would be super helpful to do a video explaining your process for deciding what to make and then how (and where) you shop for those recipes! Like do you research to find best deals or do you shop at thrive and TJs? 😊 I don't mean prep but I do plan weekly!

I practice intermittent fasting so I dont do dinner but I like seeing lunch and dinner recipes because they can be switched.
I just made the warm lentil salad and it was so good!!! That cashew cream is amazing!

I love the ideas for the oats in the am. The soup looks soooooo good. Also, the lentil and veggies look yummy too!!
don't know what i would do without your food videos! thank you for all the inspiration, i am now 6 months vegetarian :)
Thank you for the lentils recipe 😭I’m so happy I love lentils
I meal prep about 5 days worth of food just breakfast and lunch, so I like the variety of having the "dinner" for lunch every other day to get some variety

Omg this all looks so amazing
When I meal prep I do try to make all three of my meals up for the next 3 to 4 days. Love this video thank you for the great content!
love the meal prep videos! personally i prefer lunch dinner ideas as i usually just whip something quick up for breakfast or have a smoothie. keep 'em coming!!
I usually meal prep two meals that can work for lunch or dinner and I usually make about 4 servings each. these look amaaaaaaaaaazing! please do more instant pot recipes! I use it to make my steel cut oats and they always turn out perfect.
You make good food. You also make me smile.
Please do a freezer meal prep that would be so helpful
❤this meal prep is so doable. This really encourage me to meal prep .dinner meal prep fo sho! The faster the better!
I do meal prep! I only prep lunches and dinners because breakfast is usually a smoothie (post workout).
I meal prep for all my meals! Don't really love to cook, so this saves my sanity some! I usually meal prep for a week at a time!
Meal prep for breakfast and lunch. For five days for my hubby’s work week!
that soup looks great. i meal prep on and off, usually just lunch and dinner and maybe a snack. not big on eating in the mornings and cereal/oatmeal/toast/fruit is simple enough. oooooh a video on DIY fall coffee based drinks would be amazing
My husband and I always have our dinner leftovers for lunch (4 servings total), so lunch/dinner meal prep is my preference :)
I do prep dinner every night, unless I have leftovers, which usually is on fridays!
When I meal prep, I only meal prep dinner. I’m not home until late four out of 7 days so I like to have something already made that is filling and nutritious but won’t take long to heat up.
I love black eyed peas!! I'm from NC. I never meal prep but LOVE watching those videos!!
Watching this video with a bowl of no oil lemon curry kale chips😀 I just love fall recipes! Roasting pumpkin at the moment🍊
I absolutely love all three meal ideas, you're incredible at coming up with delicious recipes! When I meal prep, I definitely meal prep for all 3 meals, so I would love if you continue to include dinner meal prep ideas! Thank you so much for all this inspo. (-:
I don't exactly meal prep but I love having leftovers so please keep the dinner recipes in these videos :)
OMG Caitlin that lentil bowl with the beets and cream! I can't even imagine the flavor. I HAVE to try this! I LOVE love beets but I hesitate to serve them often because I have four kiddos and beets are so messy!
Golden beets would have less drastic staining:)
I have a really nice and easy recipe for stew (in Dutch it is called a stamppot ) it is really Nice i would love to share it. Just send me a message and i will send it.
Yup...breakfast and lunch...really haven't done supper.
all these recipes look so good 😍 can’t wait to try them!
Yes! The lentil recipe 👏🏼 I’ve been wanting to make some but couldn’t find any good recipes. This one looks amazing. All of the foods look amazing!
Wow I’m always so impressed by you recipes! Cant wait to make the soup :)
I like black eyed peas too! 'Where is the love' is my favourite song :D
OMG CAITLIN 🙌🏼 these all look so delicious! I can’t wait to try these myself. You made me so excited to cook more for fall 💕💕
I usually roast the cut up beets with all the other vegs - no tin foil needed - less waste ;)
I made this steel cut oatmeal. Been eating it all week :)
Nathan Masters so you're a fan of eating leftover cooked oats? I'm scared of trying it then hating it
I meal prep breakfast and lunch, for some reason I don’t mind eating the same things for those but I don’t like eating the same thing for dinner so I meal plan and prep my dinners as much as possible.
Wow I couldn't imagine eating all this in one day
I Really Love Very Thick Porridge and I Absolutely Love Chia Tea
Yum, black eyed peas. Will have to try this.
Me and my girlfriend tried the black eye pea soup recipe tonight, DELICIOUS!
