Great drawing skills and bravo for being able to work with these pens. Id really like to see the earlier phases when you established tonal values, because that is the blending that is so difficult with them.

I also have a hard time not covering the background. But I’m working on it. You did an amazing job. Beautiful paintings.

Is the pad of paper your using? Is it a rough quality or smooth? Can u give a little bit of direction on what kinda of paper to use the pens on I have arches WC paper 100%cotton cold press ...I also have strahmore WC paper cold press but it tends to ripple when I add watercolor on it even tho it's meant for wc....I ordered gray set of fcpitt pens to add contrast to my city scapes as a beginner in WC I've been taking online WC classes for a yr now.... but I like to doodle so I thought I could combine theses two median and then I saw you could blend these pens I thought how wonderfully brilliant..now I'm adding another skill at my advance age... another skill to take up the megar brain cells...lol I really enjoy these videos on learning new skills but I'm concern about the paper. As I'm on a limited budget I'd like to try to use what I have I heard that one side of paper is smoother would that work better and not destroy the point nibs on the markers.....😷👋✍

Please subscribe Marc. It's the clairefontaine paint on in grey or fawny colour...wc paper os good too...have you stretched your paper first? These pens are hard to blend and I have seen no one do this like me so I am quite unique in that I can do it. Don't press to hard on pens and just add blocks of colur that you can blend out but this has to be done very quickly or you will end up with it drying under you and leaving marks you may not want.

Can you do this with color pencils or normal felt tip or not really?

Are you using water based pens or the alcohol pens, I bought the alcohol ones and they do not blend at all I’m not happy with them at all.
