To be a patch in my club you have to have a bike no question. If your bike is broken down, you have 30 days. If the bike is not up and running or you haven't secured another bike, you have 2 choices go inactive, which gives you no club support, or outright quit.

I see clubs, that have nothing to do with motorcycles, but have MC style patches and structures!! It think it debases the MC/Mcc scene! In the old days they would be asked very strongly to cease!!

My old club was a MCC and had the same by laws as a MC no different at all . We all had motorcycles and had to be above 500cc . If your bike was off the run (bike not on the road ) for more that 28 days you had to answer to the club with a reason why !!
Two years ago they were given back patch status and are a MC by HA
As i've always preached on this channel and in my videos. "when you do things the right and proper way great things can an will happen for you" that club is a shining example to other MCC's that may want to climb the ladder and step up. MH&R
Not so much old skool anymore but we had a good club with 10 plus members didnt want big numbers , didnt matter about a licence to me or most in club but the last member in we wouldnt allow until he had everything legit then we fell apart 😂 17 years hard to move to another club as i lose respect for people who switch clubs like they switch socks
There was one thing you absolutely had to have when you where in an old school MCC, and that was a bike.... No way man! you gotta be kidding? This is clearly going into the realms of rocket science now. hahaha
I'm new to biking, learnt last year, bought a Harley Iron, ridden it all through the winter and love it. Im 49 but never had the guts to do it until lockdown hit.
Now, for some reason, like a moth to a flame I am becoming obsessed with clubs. I love very old school, rules, camaraderie, loyalty. I follow a tonne of HAs on instagram, and dont know any (yet) in reality.
My question is: Is it typical for new riders to get infatuated with clubs, especially the serious ones. Im not interested in anything other than 1%. Why am i feeling so easily attracted to those clubs?
Many want to be in those clubs and fly the 1% diamond, very few ever make it to the end of prospecting for those clubs. If you go down that route get ready to give up the life you have now, once you start prospecting for a 1%er club your life will be CLUB.

Is a tricycle with Hardly Dangerous painted on the frame acceptable? You could trick it out with the baseball cards hitting the spokes, put tassels on the handlebar grips and a nice chrome ringer bell to top it off. LMAO! Sorry Dibz, I need to get out more often. The bring their family members and their partners in and put patches on them to boost numbers, totally wank way of doing things if you ask me.
I had to reply to this, well I never had to but felt inclined to. MCC as you quite rightly said motor cycle club, but they have members who are patched but don't ride a motorbike. Equivalent to me setting up an MCC having members join then asking "What motorbike do you ride?" Then they replying "I don't but I use a push bike now and then" "Okay you're in"
What happened to the day's where you would have an argument with someone over a simple subject, and the following day it was forgotten about? Today it's more so "I'm going to write a load of verbal words against you then block you on facebook, lets see how you feel about that!"

Before you travel into any clubs territory it's customary, and it also shows respect to those clubs, if you contact the MC's in that area before you travel there if you intend wearing club patches.

I know, it blows my mind that i have to do this too. There's becoming way to much of this slack, we must create numbers by slapping patches onto our non riding wives and girlfriends kind of bullshit, it like giving trophies to the kids that lost the race.
