A Legend in Steam - A 3801 Tribute

The song “3801” is made and performed by Ray King and Ron Russell.
To celebrate the return of 3801, thanks to the efforts and dedication by those who made it possible, I’ve made a variation of the music video featured in the documentary, “3801: A Legend in Steam”, in tribute one of the most, if not, the most famous steam locomotive in Australia.
Built in 1943, 3801 has made herself into history by her many accomplishments, from the record breaking 2 hours and 1 ½ minute trip from Sydney to Newcastle in 1964, to her memorable achievement of hauling “The Western Endeavour”, the first steam train trip from Sydney to Perth. Being the main locomotive to haul the Bicentennial Train, and traveling from Sydney to Alice Springs in 1992, 3801 is the only steam locomotive to travel to all major states, than any other locomotive in Australia.
In her many years of mainline service and trips, 3801 has run alongside many memorable locomotives, such as 3642, 5910 and 3526, to sister engines 3813, 3820, and Museum Applied Arts and Science’s 3830, to the world’s most famous steam engine, The Flying Scotsman.
