Mr.Thomas has been in Afghanistan for long time and has good sense of the country but unfortunately couldn’t pinpoint the exact cause for the ongoing conflict. Let me help him to understand the situation so that he learn the last lesson from an Afghan. We are a proud nation. We don’t accept lords from outside. Our nature is that we would rather be poor and hungry than being seen as helpless and worthless . The war has been imposed by USSR and U.S / NATO for the past 45 -50 years and the day they came out , they didn’t stopped but continued their interference through their proxies. We want to be left alone and don’t want anything from outside. Just leave us alone. We are poor but we have self respect and dignity to live a happy life with the resources that we have. We have seen your so called democracy that was not more than culture of corruption and buying and silencing any opponent with your money and empowerment of war lords. We have also a very bad experience with USSR’s socialism as well. We don’t want any of those things again . We are satisfied with what we have. You are welcome to visit Afghanistan as a tourist and drink chai Sabaz peacefully but forget about any further involvement in our country to democratise or socialise us anymore .
