Isn't it totally ironic that 80% of the people who clicked on this video did so because they were distracted ? (me included)
Yeah doesn't take much to figure that out
Nothing ironic in that lmao. It's like saying, "isn't it ironic that 80% of the people who bought a bottle of water were thirsty?"
Tip number 9: watch Ruby because she'll motivate you to keep that hard work on
Ruby, I’m a 30 years old medical graduate and I’ve been following you for two years now. I have to tell that I am so glad to witness you growing and turning into such a smart and mature woman. Please keep doing this great work of sharing your wisdom, and never let others discourage you. Thank you for your contribution to this world. - Lori
I highly suggest watching the video because Ruby is amazing and explained it beautifully!
1) Practise studying with background noises to prevent distractions in exams.
2) Having a scent to study to like oils. Associate it with good quality revision.
3) Put phone out of the room away. Out of easy reach.
4) Make a note of things that distract you.
5) Keep goals at hand to look at. Write goals on a list. A good distraction!
6) Make a specific location dedicated for work or study.
7) Have a nice homely friendly workspace. Invest in plants etc! Enjoy being in that space.
8) Make a timetable so you can flick between things so you don’t get bored.
Honestly, I've fallen into a little hole of procrastination, missing school for health and mental reasons and it was also a result of lack of motivation and losing my path and goals in life. These kind of videos allow me to gain temporary outer motivation and it makes me happy that I'm making plans for my studies as I watch your videos. So thank you for taking the time to do all of this Ruby!
Thank you, Ruby. You have the most perfect timing!
Ruby, you look so good in this video! Plaits suit you. Thank so much for these tips. 😊
Ah thank you so much! :)
Lol i was just thinking the same thing
I have a doctorate and I watch Ms. Ruby. She is wise beyond her years. This is helpful even as someone in the highest levels of my education.
Needed this so much ...I m a yr junior to u , in my first yr at uni ... And could relate to being a perfectionist and procrastinating... Also the point about ur promises to hold value to oneself was 👏👏👏
your videos are probably the only ones i can have in the background while i work
most videos distract me, but i actually get more motivated when watching your videos! (even if it’s a rewatch and i already know what you’re going to talk about)
Seeing you without a fringe is so surreal😂 it changes your face so much though, it’s like seeing a whole new person
Dear Ruby: I am 29 years old and I have severe anxiety and depression. I've neglected so many things in my life due to these. I am always trying to improve myself, though. It's a big challenge. I found your channel because youtube recommended it. I am so incredibly grateful people like you exist. Your videos make me want to be even better and even more like you: disciplined, positive, centered and motivated. Thank you for being you.
Especially agree about the phone!! A guy I once worked with when we were studying for accountancy exams, had a theory which went something like revising to a particular piece of music, preferably instrumental I think. You play the same piece over and over as you study. Then, in the exam, you play this piece of music over in your mind, and it helps to ignite your memory with the subject matter in question. That was his theory anyway . . . But yes, in general sounds and especially smells are very evocative for memory. Lovely video again, Ruby.
Thank you for this, I am currently in year 9 so I am quite frankly at the door way of this journey of exams and all that jazz. Your videos are really helpful for preparing me how to enjoy this experience!
Unjaded Jade AND Ruby Granger post a video at the same time? ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
next time we also need eve
Also, can I just point out that they have the same hairstyle 😅
Edit: Omg, ~highlighted reply~, never in my dreams did I think this was a possibility, such an honour! 😱😂
Yess but you know who will get more views
@@fadumahassan3646 who🤔
I can actually relate to this so so much. I thought it was just me who got distracted by silly things e.g. a slightly untidy room or a small tapping noise. Thanks Ruby 💜
THANK. GOD. I have spent 6 hours on 2,5 hours of work today, I need help😬 Thank you for the perfect timing Ruby! Your videoes are always so inspirational and motivational!
I've been recommending and following ASMR Rooms for years! You and that channel are my favorite. Seeing you mention it made me a feel very happy idk why
Never regretted watching one video by her ... Love this channel ...can relate so much ❤️
Thank you for this video Ruby! I would love a video on how to stay healthy and happy in the lead up to and during exam season
Hi ruby, your videos always inspire me and motivate me to study. Thank you!!
kisses from Brazil😘
Honestly, Im going to bake Unjaded Granger a cake if I pass these exams! You're the angels on my shoulder
watching Ruby Granger counts as productivity, i declare
Ruby and Jade have the same hair style. Too sweet. By the way , write goals is actually a life-saver.thank you
Funny that all these years I've been thinking your bedroom was upstairs and after 5:48 I'm completely shocked 😂 you have the nicest view Ruby 💕
These suggestions were so unexpectedly good!
I’m obsessed with your videos, you’re such an inspiration. Thank you so much ❤️
The aroma/ scent tip sounds pretty good! It is a new tip that I have never heard of :) thank you Ruby xx
Loved your outfit and hair in this video!! Well I always love what u wear but in this was so cool
Great video, once again. Loving the plaits
Ruby you look so lovely and you are literally my role model! ❤️I just need this video! 💕
PS. Anyone want a night routine?📚
woohooo i just jumped into my phone after my revision break and this video comes up instantly hahaha what a coincidence ❤️
You are spot-on, Ruby.
This is such a helpful and beautiful video! You look very very pretty and older in a way, or more mature... I guess this jumper is a perfect highlight to your eyes 👀
The ideas about getting used to the sounds and smells are genius, i don't think I've heard them on the RUclips before
These tips are so helpful, I'd never heard of the ASMR exam hall rooms before but they're such a good idea! When it comes to associating something with productivity, I like to wear my Unjaded Jade motivated shirt ❤️
What helps me is keep a post it or notepad near hand to jot down things that you remember that you should do/ remember/ want to look up. Because often we think: oh, yeah, I should do that now or I’ll forget. By writing it down it’s out of your head and you can’t forget. And it’s no longer an excuse!
..when Ruby is your distraction 😂
You look so refreshed! also your necklace suits you very well
This girl! She’s amazing xxx
Yes! Definitely agree about having a dedicated workspace! Actually recommended it myself in my last video!! (Great minds think alike?!)
Had not thought about using scents before, but that is definitely along the same train of thought as a dedicated workspace. Very excited to try it out ASAP!
what a lovely look !
Hello Ruby! The video is great, really helpful for me... I wrote all tips on my diary..... Going to follow them today itself!!! Bye.... Lots of love ❤❤❤
Queen of uploading right videos at right time ❤ GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL RUBY 😘
It’s my lunch break, I’m so happy to see you’ve posted. I also just want to say I’m so proud of how far you’ve come, I’ve been with you since the Hermione tutorials and you’ve truly changed my outlook and productivity as a student, and I’m so thankful for that. ❤️
This means so much :) thank you Michelle xx
These tips are really useful and I will definitely use them, thank you ! 💛

You are an absolute angel and a beautiful person
I know this video is from a while ago but I’m really intrigued which oils are in the revision blend! Thanks for such great tips!
Hi Ruby, I’m just going into my 4th year at high school in Scotland, which is when I start doing my National 5 exams, which are the first exams I will have ever taken. I was wondering if you could possibly do a video on starting out studying and how to study for beginners because I know that lots of people will be in the same position as me where they have no idea where to start! It would be really helpful xxx
I love your hair! You’re eyes really stand out when you put your fringe back
I like the hair style!!
Dear Ruby, Great video and thank you for the advice..wouldn't have thought about the things you mentioned. Find your videos so interesting.
James from London
Really needed a pick me up! This totally works:) thank you, Ruby💖
The first tip is so helpful! I had a really important exam two days back and I was getting annoyed with the invigilators talking to eachother or someone next to me turning a paper over.
Ruby you inspire us so much ... And I just want to say you look lovely .
Love your hair!
Thanks Ruby, this is really useful, and I never thought of a signature scent for studying which is something I’m really looking forward to try !✨by the way you look super cute with braids💕
the scent really works for me. i also have a particular scent that i use when studying.

This was such a nice video to come home to and watch just before starting my studies. Thank you ruby xx

Your hair looks so pretty like this 💞
1. I need to invest in a chair though I have one.
Ruby there is something in your videos that makes me watch them again and again without getting bored and helps me sort out my priorities in education. One help plz. Ruby can you please recommend me few tips that will help me in my English writing e.g letter, essay and so on because I have to write a 2000 word expository essay and I have no idea how to go about it because in my country it's all about exam n teachers just focus on the easy things and the ones that students are going to write in their papers. Plz do read this and plz reply. It's a humble request. Have a productive week as well and stay calm and study like a Granger as you always do.
Thank you ruby, you are so inspiring 💕✨
I came herecto get rid of distractions but again distracted by this beauty ❤❤
Thank you so much Ruby! I have two GCSEs this week so this will be incredibly helpful!! 💛
Lotts good luck hope you pass and get a good job and live an amazing life x 💕👍
Good luck! I hope they go well! :)x
I like using Forest to help me not get distracted. ☺️
I use an app similar to that called Study Bunny! It's great that apps can help you focus instead of just distracting 😊
Such a lovely post and just when I needed it most! Can't wait to use these tips as GCSEs are looming for me 😩🙂❤️
Woo! Just the video I was waiting for! 😅😄
Completely wasted my day procrastinating today and then this video popped up on my feed, RUclips knows what's up 😂
Your hair looks so cute!!
I love to listen to my music playlist. I cannot study without music. When I find myself getting distracted where I am studying. I move to a different spot. Usually my favorite starbucks. I also use the 305 rule (30 minuets of studying and then a 5 minute break) to get myself started then after a while I find myself not using the breaks and being super productive for longer than the 30 minutes.
Wish I knew about those videos when I did my alevels as I found invigilator noise so annoying! Xxx💗 good luck in your exams xxx
You’re so pretty!
Thank you for these tips, they’re so useful!
Something that could be helpful: on Netflix you can find things such as Fireplace, it's literally just a fireplace on your screen with the sounds of wood burning and fire cracking... to people who enjoy these sounds is a good tool to use and also creates a cozy environment for studying!
thank god I found this video and your channel😍
so glad i've seen this video! really needed it right now :)
Ohhhh, this comes at the PERFECT time! 🙈
How about a video on how to motivate yourself to study, or your top tips on how you can be productive in just an hour, that would be great ❤️
How to motivate ? Have a goal . Why are you studying . And enjoy what you're studying . Every bit of it . Well some things will surely be tough and accept that and move ahead. Next time you will feel confident that you went through that and feel motivated to even do better . I think being motivated means feeling really authentic in what you're doing . And authencity comes from practicing that activity . Good luck
@Study Account thank you 🙏, I find it often difficult, because I don’t really have a „dream job“ or a specific goal, I‘m 16 and for instance maths has gotten so abstract and far from reality. In general I want to study more, just my laziness is in the way. I watch study videos to inspire me, and they do help ... but not very long term unfortunately. I know that I have to get up and work, I know I should not be lazy, but I can’t find the energy and motivation to do so. I live in a small house, so I‘m almost never alone in a room and have to study at night, which doesn’t benefit my studies.
I unfortunately also tend to look for excuses.
Sorry for writing this long text, hugs to everyone that finished it 💕 ✌️
I already kind of know the answer to my problem: overcome your laziness and STUDY, do it!
It’s just so hard...
@@plasticfrog4533 great . You seem very self aware . That's a very good step . I have a very important exam in 8 days. I wish I do well . For me that's the goal . I am not thinking about which job I'll get . Which uni i will get (just kidding I worry about that a lot tbh... ) I am just focusing on increasing my grades. I am also not very motivated myself . But I try to . I hope things go in my favour .
A much needed video. 😍❤
Loved it😍😍
love the hair! x
you look so lovely with your hair in plads.
Thank you for the video, i myself struggle with phone usage while studying
That aromatherapy technique is so unique, I've never considered that before 😱
I used to do this at school and it totally works, especially with jogging memory.
I'm lucky because I enjoyed watching this video soo much ruby thank you
Ruby you are amazing!
I always wanted to ask you, what do you do in your free time? Like extracurricular activities and stuff like that? Have you joined any club in college?
I'm guessing she reads a lot? :P
I actually spend a lot of my free time doing RUclips related bits, as wells as working on this magazine called Cosmologics which I'm an intern editor for.
As Kathy rightly said, I spend a lot of time reading (and also writing!) and, as for societies, the two I am most committed to are Trampolining and Harry Potter society :) x
