One habit that is most important to me is to not use electronics first thing in the morning since when using electronics, I feel distracted and tend to spend hours on my ipad and then realizing i haven’t changed or had breakfast & it is already 11:00 so since i am having online classes, i try to have a walk first early in the morning & keep my ipad elsewhere so i won’t be distracted. Good luck to students and wish you the best. Love from a fellow study youtuber.
Such a great idea! This is a habit I really want to get better at; I find it hard not to, since I use my phone as a ‘wake up’ tool. I want to replace it with other things like natural light from outside!

I'll never understand how can people make their bed as soon as they wake up. I've been taught by my mother (and grandmothers and aunts and great-aunts...) to open the windows and let my room aerate, even in the wintertime. Only then do I make my bed. Is this just an Italian thing or do other people do the same?
I saw people do it in Spain as well. I wish it was a custom in the U.S.! I would do it in a heartbeat. But I don't have a functional window in my room. (I live in a basement, so the windows are blocked for safety. I don't know why whoever built the house made windows in the first place.)

Sleep while putting curtains open in the city is litterally impossible with lampposts everywhere an neighbours watching you. its such a luck to live in the countryside!
It depends where you are in the city, but I completely agree about the lampposts. Going to be the best quality sleep I've had in some time.

I’ve needed your videos more than ever! Working from home and I’m finding it so difficult! I have no self motivation and I seem to find it so hard to stick to a routine and get anything done. I’m going to rewatch all of your routine videos!
I always find your videos so calming to watch! One thing I did feel was that the title could be doing it a disservice, namely by using the word “perfect”. I think so often in life we can get caught up in trying to be perfect and, as a perfectionist, I know this can be COUNTER-productive as it is such a loaded term and can put i exes stay pressure on ourselves. At a time like this especially, I think the best thing we can hope is yes, be productive, but above all find PEACE and calm in the chaos. Your videos help me with that! I hope you are finding that peace and balance and remember, it’s okay not to be “perfect” every day 💛
Thankyou Ms Ruby for being the reason I smile these days... Its been a long time since someone has inspired and motivated me so much... I am grateful to you for your help. I personally wanted to send you an email appreciating your work after watching your videos but thought this was better. Keep up your work. May God Almighty bless you for your work. Nowadays I enjoy studying and am finding happiness in every minute of my life. If possible, can you make a video on how not to get easily depressed during your teenage years, because I am one of that kind. Maybe many of us are in this digital world. With love An Indian(smiles)
Thank you for recommending the Make it Work book! I've just read one passage this morning to kick start my day with a dose of inspiration and motivation and wow do I feel rearing to go! x
I'm extremely happy that you decided to do this video right now. Because of this coronavirus outbreak, I don't have school anymore and even though I've been studying a lot for the last few days, I ended up my days not feeling productive at all. Thank you very much for your help, Ruby! You are such a great inspiration to me and many others
I tried one of those alarm clock apps once and i set the maths question to hard and i couldn’t answer it so my phone played the chorus of Do They Know It’s Christmas at full volume for about 10 minutes at 5am needless to say my family wasn’t very happy with me
Hedwig chilling in the back lol 😝 great video I love working out in the morning it really makes me feel so productive and also makes me more aware of what I put on my body in terms of food or liquids.
Thank you so much for this video, I really need it right now, I've been in quarantine for almost a month and just now I feel strong enough to start my days with the right motivation.
Thank you for this video! I've used it as inspiration for my own morning routine 😊 I won't be getting up at 5:30am, but I can work with 6am 😂, and swapping the cold for a warm shower definitely.. But I have definitely incorporated most of the tips in my routine, especially when uni resumes 😁
Hi Ruby! I have watched your videos for years and greatly admire your tenacity for academics. I wonder if you’ve ever considered making a video aimed toward students who are also working whilst in school? Tips for getting some schoolwork in before going to work at 9, how to balance work and school, etc. Hope you’re well!
This sponsor couldn’t have come at a better time :D I just got accepted for an Erasmus year at UCL and I’m hoping to spend this year in London to focus on my career. I’ll definitely be getting the ebook to get my mind in the zone!
I looove this! Could you also do it for night routines? Because my mental health is the best in the morning and after school/evening it's just hard sometimes to be motivated and excited.
Wauw, this video is so inspiring! I heb have just made a list with my life goals and I realized that I am pretty ambitious 😂 I have so many things that I want to do in my life and they are all so big! So I decided that I will work for them, they are my dreams and will make them real, even if that's impossible! Thank you for this really inspiring video! I love you! 😘
1:10 I fully agree with that quote. I always argue that you shouldn't go straight from high school to university. For most people, by the time you graduate high school you haven't lived on your own, you haven't had a full time job, you haven't taken care of yourself, you have always had a plan set out for you and people to look out for you. You have lived in a protected bubble your whole life and once you get out of that bubble and start living on your own, you get to know so many new sides of yourself. How can you pick a university topic if you don't know yourself? I always encourage students to take some time off before going to university. Get a job, live on your own, travel, mature. I have met so many people who went straight to university just to regret their choice: "I studied what people expected of me, not what I actually wanted." "I wished I had taken time off to travel before university, now I have all these responsibilities and student loans." "I really love math but I didn't think studying math was a good career choice. I wish I had studied math instead." "I always wanted to be a doctor but by the end of high school I was so done with school and I didn't want to take the extra courses required to get into medical school, so I settled for nursing. I really regret not taking time off to reach my dream." I was so depressed in high school that I didn't graduate with a diploma. I felt like a failure but at the same time I was so happy that I survived and that school was over. I went traveling, spent 2 years working in my local supermarket and then I did an internship in Costa Rica and worked as a dive leader in Panama for a year, meanwhile studying to get my high school degree. I contemplated studying either archaeology or biology and it took me 4 years to choose biology. The quotes above are things people told me during those 4 years. I now have a master's degree in biology and have discovered that biology and archaeology overlap in one area: genetics, which just so happen to be my area of expertise. Thinking through your decision is extra important if you live in a country with university tuition. Because tuition is so high, you only have one chance, you will most likely not be able to afford going back to school if you change your mind later.
I have tried a lot of different things trying to improve my physical and mental health. The one that worked for me was the Forwago personalized program.
Ruby I am a new subscriber , I love your videos a lot. Just a health tip , try to avoid drinking water in a standing postion and do not gulp it down quickly, I know it feels great and is almost like a reflex when we are thirsty. Love from India fellow Booklover. 💖💖
Everyone are talking about morning routines but having a good night routine is just as important. Your mornings should start the night before. Put out your clothes, pack your bag etc.
This is one of my favourite videos, though I fall asleep after sometime when I wake up , but still I am practicing to wake up early and not to fall asleep , Thank you so much Ruby
Loved the video. If you do an intense workout when you wake up, I'd recommend having a cold shower as soon as you wake up, it makes you super alert for the pump! 👊

Hi Ruby, thanks for this great video! One thing that bugs me a little is the making bed straight away after waking up. I was raised to air out my bed when I wake up because of hygiene: In the morning, if you make your bed immediately, all of the skin cells, sweat, mites and their droppings - which can cause asthma and allergies - will be trapped underneath. However, if the bed is left unmade, the mites, dead skin, the sweat, all of it, will be exposed to fresh air and light. Maybe you could just air out your bed for a few minutes as you open up the window, stretch a little and then make it, to make sure it's all hygienic too :) Just a thought, thanks again for the video! :)
Can you please make a video about your favorite music. Like a combination of study music and music you listen to during your breaks to get some energy out.
I like your bookworm mug.I like harty breakfasts too. A lot of yoghurt +muesli +fruit. I think my POWER HOUR should be in the evening as im not really a morning person. Gratitude journaling does work. I would read or listen to inspirational podcasts.
Hi Ruby, I just love this video. The power pose idea is fantastic. Have you ever heard of doing Morning Pages? I believe the idea is to write three pages of anything that comes to mind. It is used to help get any stressors out of your head. You aren’t meant to read it back, you just write until you hit three pages and then go on with your morning. Sadly, I’ve only done them a handful of times, but it was amazing. Have an amazing day. :)

Hey Ruby! I liked this very much and have been loving all your videos and I'll be using your study with me's for motivation during self-isolation. I know I don't often comment (I'm definitely a lurker in YT) but I wanted to request a video on how you plan your days since I feel like it's been a while since you last talked about it? Maybe it's me not paying attention but I'd really love to know more about how you decide what you're going to do and for how long, or whether you know roughly how long any one task will take you? That sort of thing... Keep being awesome! Your videos are so inspiring, calming and helpful!

I hope you are finding that peace and balance and remember, it’s okay not to be “perfect” every day 💛
This channel makes productiveness feel 10 times more easy and fun, thank you!
I just woke up at 6 for the first time and I was def regretting my decision, but this was very helpful !!
With love
An Indian(smiles)
Thank you for recommending the Make it Work book! I've just read one passage this morning to kick start my day with a dose of inspiration and motivation and wow do I feel rearing to go! x
I'm extremely happy that you decided to do this video right now. Because of this coronavirus outbreak, I don't have school anymore and even though I've been studying a lot for the last few days, I ended up my days not feeling productive at all.
Thank you very much for your help, Ruby!
You are such a great inspiration to me and many others
I tried one of those alarm clock apps once and i set the maths question to hard and i couldn’t answer it so my phone played the chorus of Do They Know It’s Christmas at full volume for about 10 minutes at 5am
needless to say my family wasn’t very happy with me
AHAHAHHAH
Happened to me as well 😭😂
Hedwig chilling in the back lol 😝 great video I love working out in the morning it really makes me feel so productive and also makes me more aware of what I put on my body in terms of food or liquids.
Whats funny i could listen to ruby all day about random things but not get bored
Thank you so much for this video, I really need it right now, I've been in quarantine for almost a month and just now I feel strong enough to start my days with the right motivation.
Im so happy i found your channel! Ive been watching you for a while and you are so inspiring and wonderful! :)
As someone who has seen almost every one of your videos, this video is probably my new favorite!
U r urself a brand now. All ur videos are very motivating. Love u.
Hi Ruby
Just want to say that these vids are really awesome and getting me through lockdown! 💕
Thanks for the video, this is what I needed!
also I appreciate ur effort to edit
+ u look so much happier in this video :D
I love you! 😘
Ruby! would you consider doing a house tour? your house fascinates me! it's so pretty :)
I have met so many people who went straight to university just to regret their choice:
"I studied what people expected of me, not what I actually wanted."
"I wished I had taken time off to travel before university, now I have all these responsibilities and student loans."
"I really love math but I didn't think studying math was a good career choice. I wish I had studied math instead."
"I always wanted to be a doctor but by the end of high school I was so done with school and I didn't want to take the extra courses required to get into medical school, so I settled for nursing. I really regret not taking time off to reach my dream."
I was so depressed in high school that I didn't graduate with a diploma.
Honestly speaking best video ever. Extremely helpful and inspiring.
Does Ruby share her Spotify lists? I'd love to listen to her classical playlist!
I would absolutely love it as well!!!
me too! It would be so helpful
If I started my day with music, you can bet I'll spend my whole day listening to music
You are such an inspiration!
Your study videos are always my fave.. always gets me so motivated to do stuffs!! 💕💕💕
I have tried a lot of different things trying to improve my physical and mental health. The one that worked for me was the Forwago personalized program.
I swear it's so difficult to have any kind of routine when I just stay at home
Ruby I am a new subscriber , I love your videos a lot. Just a health tip , try to avoid drinking water in a standing postion and do not gulp it down quickly, I know it feels great and is almost like a reflex when we are thirsty. Love from India fellow Booklover. 💖💖
Have you ever thought about making a podcast? Is so inspiring when you are talking about motivation 😊 love your videos
I'm in Italy and we are blocked in our house, watching your videos helps me a lot ♡
I absolutely love your bookworm mug ❤️!
I love the ideas book suggestion! I will definitely be doing this xx
Hey Ruby, I just wanted to say that I LOVE your skirt. It's soo pretty.
You probably wont see this but you are so productive and I really look up to you!
I like a lot of things in video for example your pigama , the glass and the cover of your phone ... i fallen in love with your stuff ruby ❤😍❤😍❤
Lucine Yousef ahh thank you 💗💛
could you please make a nighttime version?? this video is so helpful!!
This may just be my favorite video, thank you for making it so lovely! Can I ask, where your outfit is from?
Thank you!
And my pyjamas are from Jigsaw; top is from Brandy Melville; skirt is from Jigsaw; jackets is from H&M (before I stopped shopping there!) xx
I always follow your morning routine. It makes me productive. And yeah! From now I will follow these habits.
Thank you Ruby 😘😘 for uploading ur video .....we are getting really bored ..our final exams postponed twice..schl has declared holiday ..BTW , you know Ruby Ur videos are helping me a lot ,, I read HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE the whole day today ! and finished around 9 pm lots of love from India Ruby stay safe 😘💞
What do you want to do after uni? Could you do a video about your life plans? :)
Ruby! Firstly, love you!! Second, I have eczema + I over wash my hands etc esp with Covid.. I discovered Cetraben Cream thought!! I get mine from boots + I started using it as a facial moisturiser. Great surprise for me, my skin is glowing + it's a miracle for dry patches. Give it a go, you won't regret!! Sorry if I comma spliced, English isn't my first language. :D
Love you lots!!
Can you have videos on books that inspire you and just reading out the best quotes you find in them, it would be lovely!
I need to get up early and watch your videos! I love them alot they are so satisfying and motivating!!💜
Ruby , this video was super inspiring but here's a tip always always always drink water sitting and also try best to drink warm boiled water in mornings and during rest of your days ...
The world was hers for the reading❤️
Totally irrelevant to the subject of the video but... the outfit you are wearing is absolutely stunning 🥰
Ruby,I suggest you to try the best hand cream ever called Helping hands from Lush!My hands were the same,I always nervous especially because of my exams and that's the reason why my hands look terrible mostly in the winter.I had tried extremely lot creams but nothing helped except this magical one.
I can just suggest it to everyone who has skin problems on his or her hands!❤
Annamária Jakab thank you so much for the recommendation! I’ll have to pick it up when all of this is over! At the moment, I’m just using savlon (the only thing which doesn’t irritate them!) but I would love to find another one 😊
Ruby Granger the Lush Charity Pot hand cream is also amazing for dry hands ☺️
What about E45 cream? Cheap and no parfum, works for me and I have sensitive skin. Just for hydration I mean after cleaning your hands.
@@r.m.l.5487 That product didn't work for me ,I tried everything during nearly 2 years ,I suggested Helping hands because that was the only one which could approximately solve my problem and did not irritate my skin :)
But I hope your suggestion will help for some people :))
Ps. I adore Your profile picture :D
Such a helpful video! Thank you so much for sharing, Ruby! 😊
You always inspired me Ruby! Stay stunning 💞✨
I love your study planner! ❤️
You are my biggest inspiration Ruby 😊♥️
