- I actually made it to the Hebrides sailing solo on my Contessa 26 from the Isle of Wight. It’s all part of my project to photograph all 32 of The Shipping Forecast sea areas.
No matter what they try, they can never match the sheer beauty and elegance of the Contessa 26. I absolutely love those girls.
In the 'third world' we have very finely ground coffee, you just mix it in the cup with boiling water, it settles to the bottom, takes about 2 minutes at most, you dont drink the last mouthful. You can buy arabic and turkish coffees ground in this way in your part of the world, or get the beans you like ground super fine in the shop, and keep it around, its actually much easier, no hassles. Nice video...
Great achievement. Well done!

G' day from Australia.
Ther is an chap called kevien Green, he is sailing the east coast of queensland Australia in an contessa 26.
I am refitting my Columbia 27 and its a fairly big refit going on, but i bought the boat cheap. I have a few things to deal with soon it wont be till next year when the boat launches.
Gerard on board,
SV GEMSTAR.
I did the Mull in a 21’ , going round the inside passage is so fun, doing 9knts over the ground, max hull speed 5knts max!
Mind, sure got a bit bumpy round the corner
The emotions drip off your face. Nice. I did my first solo sail last week.
Thanks Jeroen. Well done on your trip. The first one is the scary one. Get's easier after that!
Animo amigo. Tienes un pequeño gran barco, muy marinero, fiel al rumbo. Tu lo sabes. FELICITACIONES POR TU DETERMINACION
in a pinch you can brew your coffee, let it settle and just dont drink the bottom bit :)
Indeed. Desperate times.... My birthday present last week was a replacemant. Phew. x
I will eat coffee if need be.
Just saying…
Use sock as coffee filter. Your choice used or not!😊
It’s known as cowboy coffee ,simmer mug full of water in pot put in table spoon of freshly ground coffee you want a slow gentle rolling boil for about 6 minutes then take off burner now hrs the trick because you now have coffee granules throughout the water column get a tumbler less than and inch of cold water pour into hot coffee the reaction of the cold water drops all the granules to bottom of pot get your preheated mug gently pour the coffee leaving all the granules behind yummy.
@@benh9928genius! 🤣🤣
This should come as no surprise, the contessa is great sailboat !
Yup. Looks after you.
Thank you for sharing some of our beautiful Scottish scenery ❤️
My pleasure. Thanks for watching.
Happy days.... I had a smile as big on my face as yours. Lovely anchorage in Gigha. ... White sands and wonderful turquoise coloured sea. Was there two years ago and went around the Mull from the Clyde and rode the eddies. I came across your video looking for a contessa 26 to find out the sea capabilities. The Mull eddies showed me that... thank you. From Gigha I went to Oban (to stock up) then around the Isle of Mull great trip. Really missed sailing this year.
Thanks Stephen. Happy days indeed. The Contessa 26 feels very safe at sea. Cheers. Neil x
@@NeilWilliamsGallery bye the way...Congrats on sailing from IOW ... enjoying your sailing vids look forward to your next video.
Well done! you went the Big boy's way, around the Mull. nice over fall's lol!
Ha - thanks. I didn’t know there was a little boys canal until lI’d already been around. Such is my level of planning…..
Brilliant!
Cheers!
I found this account from the gallery in Cowes Isle of Wight, I’ve always been a fan of your artwork and photography! I’m always looking into the shop to look at the work.
Amazing Molly. Thank you!
Great video!
Nice to hear. Thank you. 😊
Great video thanks!!!!!!
That's kind. Thanks.
Halò Neil, ciamar a tha sibh? It was great to meet you on your travels last week.I look forward to your next video. Harvey Ferguson, Tayinloan Stores, Kintyre
Hello Harvey! Great to meet you too. Did you go look at that contessa?
Lovely video! Is there any chance you could post some pictures of your mainsheet traveller? I have a similar horse / transom bar on mine and looking to improve it. Yours looks like the natural evolution to copy!
Same interest in these horse/transom arrangements! Can these be purchased complete or over-length and fashioned to suit and where from? Thanks
Hi. Thanks for watching. I’m away from the boat for 3 or 4 weeks running my gallery. I’ll take some snaps when I get back to her. The boat came with the traveller so I don’t know much about it…
At the Mull of Kintyre, either sailing closer (very close is OK) or much further off is far more comfortable, missing that turbulent patch.
I could maybe do a more forward planning... Thanks for watching
An interesting take on Mark Power's Shipping Forecast
Yup - love his book. I’m focused on the land and seascapes whereas he did a wonderful job of photographing the communities…Thanks for watching.
@@NeilWilliamsGallery A great idea. As someone who's looking to buy a Contessa 26 I'm very much enjoying the journey
Make cowboy coffee, strain trough cloth...
Bravo
