  • I’m working on a photo project for my Gallery in Cowes on the Isle of Wight that involves travelling to all the Sea Areas in The Shipping Forecast as heard on Radio 4, and doing as many as possible by on my little sailboat. The hope is to produce a beautiful book of black and white photographs that celebrate the seas and weather that surround us.

Tough old leg, who'd have thought the sanctuary of harbour would be more stressful....for a while, well done👌👌

Another excellent video Neil! The North Sea looks challenging, to say the least!

It seems there is more to avoid hitting than on the Atlantic coast! And the seas are maybe smaller but steeper..

the east coast is a bit barron for marinas, plenty of drying out harbours though.

Yup. Of course that means you have to time your arrival carefully.. and can’t leave apart from at high tide.. which often means 6 hours of foul tide to start the trip.. 😏
