I hope you all enjoy this video on John Schneider's biggest roles as Bo Duke on the Dukes of Hazzard and Jonathan Kent on Smallville. Which show was your favorite?
They would occasionally throw in some old flashbacks to the Dukes of Hazzard in Smallville. One time the theme song was playing on the radio when John was driving his truck.
Yeah, he's top of the list for Jonathan Kent and right up there with him I think was Glenn Ford from Superman the Movie. Of course, Ford didn't get a lot of screen time as compared to Schneider. Nobody will likely ever play Jonathan Kent longer than Schneider did.
@@jeanemlicar Yeah, I had to look him up. I forgot his name. It was Stuart Whitman. He was a good actor. He did a lot of guest spots on old TV shows. He was one of those actors you'd recognize his face, but it's hard to remember his name because he'd pop up everywhere, but I don't think he ever played regularly on anything other than Superboy. He did 11 episodes of Superboy according to imdb
Wow. Thanks for the update. I truly appreciate it. It’s crazy how so many die hard Superman Fan’s either don’t know or rule out the Superboy TV series or the short lived Ruby Spears Superman animated series which was based on the John Byrne’s comics and also had the movie composition by John Williams.@@tvcrazyman
I was never a fan of the scab Dukes, and couldn't wait for those episodes to be bypassed. I remember listening to John's songs on the radio back in the 80s. Sad to say, Willie's Roadhouse, which specializes in traditional country music, doesn't play any of John's songs; I have to listen to them on RUclips. They also don't play any songs by Reba McEntire, The Judds, Alabama, Gary Morris, The Desert Rose Band, etc.
I like the 90's or older country songs. The older they are the better they seem to get to me. Schneider's songs are good. I don't hate Coy and Vance. I think they would have been fine as guest stars, but I do think having someone take over for Bo and Luke like that killed the show. It just got people out of the habit of watching. People came back for Bo and Luke temporarily, but they started leaving again right after, I believe. People get out of the habit of watching. It is hard to get back in the habit again.
Bo Duke always. My first born son was with us at the state fair and the person putting the show on want the best yeehaw. He said you know like Bo Duke. Well that little boy minds to it up and did the yeehaw. About same time is 25 year old man stood up and tried to do to a yeehaw. The announcer thought that man had done the hall instead of my twelve-year-old boy. Of course around around my son was speechless because he does so well. I told him don't worry about it you guys going to be looking like a fool up there because we all know was you son. 20 people yell now and said no is this boy over here and the guy just wouldn't believe it. Well that's just one of the many stories that comes up and I think of dukes of Hazzard. My folks me my kids. I'm sure whenever grandkids come along down the road them to.
Well, it's the same genre, but the Smokey and the Bandit was a movie series starring Burt Reynolds and the car was a black Trans Am. Dukes had the 69 Charger which in reality was a much faster car. Trans Ams looked awesome, but those later 70's Bandit models had very little horsepower.
I don’t usually correct people but I’m a dodge guy and a dukes of hazzard guy but you said 69 charger. The blue charger you mentioned It’s a 68 good sir. in dukes of hazzard it was a 69
John Schneider will always be my Jonathan Kent.

Dukes Of Hazzard, with the exception of the episodes in which Coy and Vance played the Duke boys.

Being a Smallville fan, he will always be the best version of Jonathan Kent to me.
Just a good old boy ⚚
He one of the reasons why I have sideburns. Bless him
He probably did it to be like Elvis.😀

I agree with you💯💯💯💯💯%. To me,he will always be Bo Duke as well as the best live action portrayal of Jonathan Kent.

There was another actor who portrayed a live action version of Jonathan Kent on Superboy but at the moment,I can’t recall his name.@@tvcrazyman

@@jeanemlicar Oh yeah, I love the Ruby Spears cartoon. I bought it on DVD quite a while back.
A lot of people don’t know about the movie “Doonby” that he starred in. He had the leading role. It’s a good movie.

The good old boys 😃👍
They taught me to yell Yee Haw whenever I jumped a hill on my bike back in the day.😀
Lol me too 🤣🤣🤣
I liked him in The Dukes Of Hazzard and Smallville and Dr.Quinn and both of the Dukes Of Hazzard reunion movies.
Superman
Mine will always be Bo Duke from Dukes of Hazzard

Tell me you mention The Raccoons...
My mind is drawing a blank on Raccoons. Now I feel like I've forgotten something.
