I play a lot of BB's and don't always "death push" into a dire situation against a vastly superior force and never hear the end of it from my team. I don't think people understand the longer you live the more valuable your ship becomes. Great video!
I'd say the Scharnhorst model of a "battlecruiser" seems far more effective. Going for smaller (or more like medium caliber) caliber guns with high armor and speed rather than high caliber with just enough armor to handle cruisers seems more versatile as while it's far less effective at firing at BB's it also doesn't really particularily fear them as long you don't show a full broadside.
Gotta be careful to remember the Scharnhorst only has 25mm plating on the top of the bow, going perfectly bow on to a BB with 15" guns or bigger is taking a big risk because it will overmatch.
That's a small target to hit with battleship dispersion.. And it being on the top of the nose means you're guaranteed to not be citadelled from the front at the ranges where anyone actually has a chance to put a shell into it.
In my opinion, firing HE on large distance on BB's is viable, for fire and cause of the low Scharnhorst caliber. On CL/CA's off course with AP. Her sister, the Gneisenau is also very good, I know, people dont like the fewer guns, but boy - on middle range you tear them up!
Your torps don't get spotted instantly if plane spotted. That is only true for ships with a really low plane detection range (DDs). And even for them you can launch torps as long as you don't launch them directly under the plane.

Three-gun super-firing turrets, even with reduced caliber, is a better solution. On warships dot today, average damage per game for the Scharnhorst is only a bit worse than the Bismarck. Seems advisable to go for the Amagi at Tier XIII.
I'd gladly carry the spotter instead of fighter, but I don't like being trapped with the spotter gun angle until the plane finally times out. It is great to shoot things in smoke with the spotter and I have done it; might just need to do it more and become used to it.

Having the enemy waste so much trying to kill you is what makes BB:s so fun the most I have tanked so far in the game is 5.75 Million potential damage in my Missouri and I took 138K damage in that game before I died. When you can find the perfect position and make 4 to 6 ships try to kill you for half the game is so fun 199 shells hit me that`s just 690 average damage for BB shells that`s so fun

Just looking at those module pricings...wow things r expensive in 2021 hey, nice build..i like the secondaries also. Depends if you get the 9km range for pesky dds and yolo style gangs. 22500 credits to 500000 credits 95% inflation.

Good commentary on the Scharnhorst... but what about the Gneisenau? Any tips for that ship? I've been wrestling with it since I got it. So much so that I haven't found very much to enjoy about that ship in the first place. The citadels are magical when they do happen, but it's so hard to land good hits at even moderate ranges (~10-14km). The gun reload time is acceptable, but it feels like dispersion ruins my shots every. damn. time.
Flamu if you looked at just the guns it self. Would you recommend Henri IV or the Zao for there fire starting capabilities. Then overall what Cruiser would you recommend that has the best guns in the game. Me personally i'm thinking the Dm.
Should I buy the Scharnhorst, what do you think? Becouse I had my eyes a bit on Anshan too, as my first Premium "starter" Ship, or would you say that it makes sense to invest into Scharnhorst?
The Scharnhorst will Not Disappoint... As to Premium Ships in general, I would recommend picking up Premiums to Support Captain Training and Transfers in the Nations that you are Working on. Premiums really help in Captain Training/ReTraining quite a bit.
Really think they should disable chat from dead ships, it's not helpful at all. Let them watch, but dead commanders should not be able to chat, unless your in a division

I'll have to go back & check but I haven't heard Flamu mention the Sir Foch / Circonflexes debockle with WG....I know it pertains more to WOT than WoWs but its still WG......if Flamu has stayed totally silent on this issue that effects every You-Tuber than Flamu has lost some respectability to me
could you explain what build you are using for captain skills. you mentioned the name of it but did not walk through it or show it. this would be very helpful. I use a full secondary build because it's my one German commander that I run on the scharnhorst, tirpitz, and now my gneisenau. I think it works great. having 7.6 range on my secs at tier 7 with manual fire control accuracy has been quite effective
Actually on the Scharnhorst the main guns are relatively fast reloading, even more with the amphetamine pills issued to the crew (ingame called adrenaline rush) and a damaged vessel. So you can defend Scharnhorst effectively against any opponents closing in, with the main guns. German secondaries are of more value on BB's with worse rate of fire, lesser guns and accuracy. Especially on Gneisenau and uptier and having DD's or cruiser making a yolo run at you, the full secondary spec is more useful.

It's guns are not weak at all, in tier nine i burned most of the bb's, at 18km, causing so much trouble
