- In this video I perform a compression test on my 1967 Ford Mustang. This is the first in a series of videos where I refurbish my old engine without doing an entire engine rebuild.

It is great to see young people taking care of the classics 👍🏽
Thanks!! Hoping to bring back a few more some day
I restored a 1967 fastback a couple years ago, it is worth it when you are all done.👍🏽
And she is a girl!!!!!!
I had a '67 Mustang 289 when I was young (early 70's) lots of memories with that car.
Hi Kat. There is one other test you can do to confirm your diagnosis and that a pressure differential test, like we use on the aircraft engines. Pressurize the cylinder to about 80 or 90 pounds with the cylinder at TDC power stroke. Then listen in the carb, in the exhaust port or tail pipe and the engine breather tube . If you hear noise from one of these it will tell you whats going on inside. For example if the pressure is escaping through the breather tube you have ring problems. If its coming out the exhaust its an exhaust valve or carb its intake valve issue.
Good luck with the project. I was hoping to see you at the hanger but missed you.
you like 60s mustangs and airplanes 🥰😍, and from florida omg that's awesome, enjoy your goals of driving your 60s mustang to the hanger to fly your personal plane and being a bad ass with aviator glasses... your parents or who ever raised you raised you, raised you right 🤟🤟.
I’m a few weeks away from buying a 67. I’m so excited!!! It’s nice to see others working on theirs 🙂
Looks like School has taken your time, miss these videos you started on. hopefully you can come back to it. but Aerospace school is pretty Important
Cool channel so far. Hi from New Zealand!
You’re amazing! I’m an enthusiast myself and I really enjoy your videos. Thanks! Keep posting 🏎️
Welcome back and keep going like that!
Nice job with that engine! Love your knowledge, skills, brainwaves and storytelling. Congrats, and keep on like this ☺️👍🏼👏🏼🥳
Really looking forward to the carburetor video, I have an old Steyr-Puch Engine that has one carb for each cylinder, luckily only got four of them but still a nightmare to adjust!
Awesome keep Doing what you do! Great info there.. Ahhh the pain of dropping that rouge nut or washer or bolt haha. Love the car, You've done a tidy job and can't wait to see more!
Great video and Thank You! Im picking up my 1966 mustang coupe tomorrow:)
Gorgeous and smart!!!!
Hi! I had a 67 mustang many moons ago, loved that car. Very interested to watch you work on yours!
Definitely want to see the rebuild
How exciting im looking forward to further parts. I found you on Instagram a while ago 😊
Very nice!
Hello again Kat!!! Nice job and right like a pro would have done. Not nuts about oil additives personally, but hopefully it works for you. My 67 gt has a built 460 big block. Talk about having no room to pull sparkplugs, and the headers? Would have to pull the engine up about six inches. Thanks for sharing and see you on the next one! Cheers from Motown/Dearborn, home of the Mustang.
Great video very informative on cylinder compression issues. How about an Edelbrock four barrel upgrade for that 289?
You did a good job, keep up the good work.
Kat! please make more videos 😛🙏 i love your mustang and your videos 👋hi from Mexico
probably the best work ever
Great content
Great work !
Thank you ☺️
It's been a while since last video, glad to see you back! Do you feel lack of power while driving - what was the reason for the test?
Beautiful car

#notificationsquad is here!!!!!
Nice Kat When I had my 68 Mustang I ran 2 Holly 600 carbs Duel carbs. Just a comment get rid of that Elde Carb, because the left float goes to the right bank and the right float feed the left bank. Junk. Go Holly Carb. Trust me. I would not let you down ever.
Are you going to continue this series
So nice to be here before the thirsty incels come. Super informative video, i would love to see the rest of the series! Good work!
How did you learn all of this?!
This is one place Ford made things easier than Chevy. The starter solenoid was mounted on the inner fender or firewall for easy access. Instead of being mounted on the starter.
Can anyone tell me why Chevy always mounted it on the starter?
i gotta ask, what's the name of that blue paint?
hope to see more content soon.
It’s called Acapulco blue!
Nice job on the mystery if you where losing compression. What are you going to replace the engine with? Thanks.
