Yes!! 🤣 I’ll be 100% honest, it sounds awesome and the bike looks stellar but….. The Aprilia V4 still holds the title for best soundtrack IMO. Love you KTM SDR though, glad you went with the orange, it’s classic KTM 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Just some info, you didn't need to remove the motor & cables as the exhaust flap is sprung wide open by default and the Healtech servo healer disables the motor but makes the ECU think it's still active. Obviously saved a little weight though if that's what you're after. Great vid anyway 👍🏻
Thanks mate. I removed it as I was in there anyway and could still yet decide to put a full system on so thought why the hell not for £40. Thanks for the steer though bud.
Because I’m in there anyway and wanted to prevent any potential issues. Also I’m not decided on if I will take the exhaust mods further so whipped it out
@@mostlymotorbikes hahaha yeah, I remember in one of your earlier videos, when you explained you had to use an angle grinder on your yoshi exhaust installation after you rounded off the Allen bolt to the Cat converter 😂😂😂😂😂
absolutely awesome sound , you may well have converted me into buying a super duke over the Ducati street fighter , ahh decisions to make , this bike buying is hard stuff .
For everyone asking why removing the servo, the gen 2 has an issue where the computer cuts off all engine power and it is call "MTC" error. It is doing this error because of the servo valve "not calibrated" to me and the last time it was on a 6h trip and it is not cool at all when you have this machine and can't even use it's power. Im removing my error as well and not just the servo.
Sounds great. Please don’t edit out any issues you have with the SDR, even little niggles… seriously considering one, was supposed to sign next week but am concerned over faults and KTM service. 👍
There have been a few reports on issues with the SDR. Touch wood mine has been all good except for the side panel falling off. The service I’ve received from the dealer has been spot on too. But understand others have not been so fortunate.
Wow what a difference, we all turned our volumes up around 11.08 ✋🙂 out of interest who bothers to tell their insurance of an exhaust pipe change ? 👍4yes|👎4No
Hey enjoyed the video I haven't even bought my SDR yet an I have already bought the GP1RS end can. Do you have a link to the Module as the ones I can see online look different. Do you have a link to the one you bought? Thanks in advance
Can I ask, what does removing the servo motor do ? I’ve got a gen 2 with the same exhaust, looking at swapping to the gen3 but will need to rebuy the end can again. Jus5 wondering what it does 😁👍🏼 Ps , subbed 👍🏼
Hey is it a must and necessary to do a servo delete? Cant the exhaust be installed with the servo cables still on? If its still on do you think any engine codes would appear?
@@mostlymotorbikes I emailed Austin a few days ago as I'm interested in a slip on too for the gen 4 and they told me its not required to remove the servo or put a servo delete module on?

@@BradleyStoneV don’t think you HAVE to but the valve will be closed still at low revs. Kind of defeats the purpose of the exhaust, considering how cheap and east fitting a servo delete is…. Up to you though.
Do you have any experience of riding the older model so that you may be able to advise if the difference would be great enough to warrant buying the 2021 over a 2016? the 2016 with full system/air filter/velocity stacks and all the aftermarket carbon can be had for sub £10k which is tempting.
I've had both models and would say definitely go for the 2021as it handles a lot better . However the older bike is more comfortable as it has more leg room and if you raise the rear ride height a few millimetres can be made to handle a lot better than standard.
Do we need to go louder? 😂
