This is an Expert Level SQ competition system. A properly fitted 10" sub is all that is needed to balance the freq range. It would be difficult to tame a pair of 12's enough where he wouldn't be penalized in the SQ lane.
Bazooka had liquid cooled amps. This is just next level. Phenomenal system for all details. Example: Todd Zier"s sq Ranger was next level when they built it years ago with little details as well. It's amazing to still see this type of perfection. Even though we know car audio guys are never satisfied. So many awesome builds over the years. This will go down as a top build for sure.
I know this is a year later. But I just checked this song out in my yukon holy hell. I run only dd audio cc6.5a set off a diamond audio d600.4 and subs are fi ssd 12s ran off a dd audio dm 2500 with a broken rf 3sixty.3 powdered by JVC KW-V340BT. Nothing to write home about for sure.
@Five Star Car Stereo Thanks Dean for taking the time to share Brian's awesome system with us...and thanks to Brian for taking his time to present his install in great detail. 👍 Since you now have Brian's Build Log Book, I have a few questions, as I'm interested in potentially using the new Arc RS drivers. ;) Are the 4'' RS4 midrange drivers in the A-pillars running "open back/free air"? Or if they are in a small sealed enclosure, what volume of airspace are they in? Any polyfill or similar damping material in the midrange enclosures? It's also kind of hard to tell where the A-pillar midrange & tweeters are aimed? Are the Left & Right sides aimed symmetrically to the center of the car, or aimed at slightly different angles on the left & right sides, skewed towards the driver seat listening position? I'd also be interested to know how and to what extent the door and door panels were treated with sound deadening, and the type of materials used for that and for the 6.5" RS6 midwoofer mounting baffles/rings? Did he do any sound deadening treatment to the roof/headliner? Thanks again. 👍
bb foto the 4” is open to the inside of the dash. The speakers are aimed (generally) left side toward the passenger left ear and right side toward the drivers right ear.
bb foto doors and roof were treated generously with dynamat and dynafoam products. The door rings/baffles are made out of abs stack fabbed with custom logos laser etched into the material
@@brianmitchell3992 Thanks Brian, appreciate your time in getting back and the added information. 👍 Should have also asked how low & high you have your RS4's playing...approximate HP & LP & the XO slope? Just curious as to their usable bandpass? I'm still running some of the OG Robert Zeff/Nikola Engineering-designed Arc Audio amps in one of my old school installs...upgraded/re-capped/slightly mod'd Arc 4150CXLr (2) and a 2500CXL. They continue to impress me. I can count on one hand how many other amps have ever come close to equaling them in terms of pure SQ (and usually at much greater cost), and I've owned and used 100's of "high end" amps over the years. Love your install and your attention to detail. Thanks for sharing, mate!

sweet liquid cooled amps, nice! I thought about doing that but i started out with just a PC fan pointed at an amp that I had that was overheating and it worked for a while and then the fan burned up and i'm assuming that was because it was a 12v fan and when your motor is on you're pushing 14.4 to it?! so my question is is he using a PC power supply to run the liquid cooling setup to keep the voltage at a constant 12v or what? and has anyone had any luck with even air cooling an amp array? thanks.

I am looking to take my sound system in two of my cars and boat to the next level. I have fairly high standards, and after looking on and off for over a year, I am still looking for a company that can make it happen. Anybody here have any top recommendations?
I remember years ago we installed 8" and 10" subs in Pontiac Fieros in the passenger foot well. Sometimes we used that trunk space behind the engine and vented them all the way to the cab. A few we installed in the rear window. But mainly we fiber glassed them in the foot well.
chuck miller Had a Fiero back when I was an installer in the early 90s. Put 4 Rockford Series 1 10s in it. 2 behind each seat in a 4 sided enclosure using the rear “firewall” and floor as the other 2 sides of each enclosure. Used Great Stuff expanding foam to anchor the enclosures to the car. Had 2 6.5s in each custom door pod, 2 3.5s and the tweeter from the 6.5 components in the dash locations. All running off a Zapco active crossover, Punch 150 on subs and Punch 45 on all the mids n highs, both mounted on motorized amp rack that spun 180 degrees to show both sides, mounted in that rear trunk behind the engine. That system blew everyone away for it’s volume and sound quality, that heard it. Couldn’t see the subs until I pulled the seats forward, as the enclosure top looked like nothing more then a 3 inch deep rear deck, lol. Lost about 4 inches total of leg room from the enclosures, which was fine for me, as I’m a lil guy at 5’8”. Loved that lil car.
@@lewthern I remember installing a punch 150 in that flip down console between the seats. Installed two 3.5" speakers in the head rests, had to series wire them because they were too loud by your ear. I wish we had the woofers back then like we have now, hardly any airspace required. We installed in those Fieros at least once a week. They were everywhere. I remember the dash speakers were a 4x10, Fosgate had a plate with a 3.5 and a tweet that fit in that spot. Sometimes we would put two 8 inch original Kickers in a sealed box behind the passenger seat. Did tons of amp racks in the trunk too. We did bandpass boxes in the trunk, used that stretchy dryer vent to get the vent lengths right, then fiberglassed them solid. i did so much fiberglass work that it does not make me itch anymore.
