When I bought a 2018 Dodge Demon that had burned to the ground at the salvage auction, I had no CLUE, what I was in for... The loose budget I put together for the build got completely blown out of the water and in the end, we're left with a massive tab..
But hey, we we built the world's first manual Dodge Demon, and that's priceless, right?

Count me in that group. This channel is such a hidden gem that deserves millions of subs. Constant cool projects and content quality that shows these guys have a real passion for what they do. I’m glad the algorithm picked up on the first demon video but I wish it would pick up on the many other awesome videos

Just buy the police interceptor and put a hellcat engine. Those v8 have awd in it

A guy out in RUclips land built a 300C, put Demon 170 motor and trans in it with a full Trackhawk drive train (AWD) Thing is pretty awesome!

That demon 170 you gonna pull your hair out for that think about you spent 71,000 on the red one it was burnt, but it was in one piece with the engine and everything you don't even know about the 170 if the wire harness is to the car I definitely tune in every episode. I love your work man. Keep it up.
Hell probably just use a Holly. Would probably be a lot cheaper and far easier than trying to source an OEM harness
Demon 170 I bet will be a cheaper build he’s not trying to reinvent the wheel like he did with this one I feel his big expense will be body panels and 170 specific trim panels honestly would be really cool in my opinion for him to put the drivetrain and all electronics and interior into a v6 car and keep the sxt body and even factory exhaust but have electronic dumps under the car full on sleeper demon
I bet on my wife, it's going to be cheaper. The wiring harness is not problem anymore because that kit he use on red demon solve everything, and interior, he got almost everything which at red demon, all of it burn. Engine is fine, well ish. Suspension, ish. It's just a matter of finding slightly wreck shell and they're good to go, or...... They decided to use that grey hellcat manual, they did say it was for another project, but who knows?
I also bet, the 170 will not be as long series as the disaster demon and not taking forever. Unless.... Lee decided to go restoration route. All 170 specific parts. Until then, I bet my wife😂

$70-75k ish to build a 1000hp Burnt dodge manual demon.(including the body)…..Not bad at all compared to what you can get for the same amount of money besides that it’s probably the one/ very few only dodge demons with a standard transmission. THAT ALONE is what makes the car irreplaceable ❤
I would go as far to say it’s definitely the only manual demon, the amount of work to have a manual trans in one of these is crazy work. Although anything is possible. Theres a guy not to far from me who’s got a manual hellcat charger

It will come in less expensive. I appreciate and respect your passion for a challenge and mopar cars. I am 58 and picked up the bug during covid watching VTuned and Goodzquad. Keep pushing yourself. I enjoy the mix of personalities on your team as well. Since 2020 I have purchased a police car, Scatpack and Gladiator from CoPart. The last 2 are my daily drivers.

I think if you take everything you learned from the Demon build, you can do the next build cheaper and faster and avoid some of the pitfalls you got snagged on the 1st time around. Great videos!! I love watching you guys!

I do think the burnt demon will end up staying the more expensive build over the 170 but I would like to say I really appreciate the work u guys do both on the builds and on the videos. There's truly no other channel like your guys' and I love how your channel feels more like what most garages around the US are. Just friends bs'n while they build cool shit. The story behind that is the car was so loud it distorted the mic and ruined the audio, so I overlayed a honda burnout over it because why not!

Hello, demon 170 will be more expensive, but it also depends on if you use a chassis you already have. The missing parts shouldn’t be to difficult to find. Maybe the chop shop is a fan and you can score some “ used parts”. Lol
I loved the series on rebuilding the Demon. The issues you had to go through gave me some perspective and how sensitive these things are to making sure components are compatible with one another. I look forward to the 170 build I have a feeling by time you’re done depending on which chassis you replace it with I think you’ll be in About the same amount of money, but you were saving some unique cars and that’s priceless

that demon 170 is a pure deal, you get all the suspension and the engine all for 20K, a hellcat motor would go for more than that as a crate motor

It doesn't matter if the 170 build cost more $, you are doing God's work by saving one of Dodges' most awesome machines and putting it back on the road. I very much enjoyed the whole process of the 18 Demon build, and the 6 speed MADE IT ALL WORTH IT (IMO) and I can't wait to see the whole 170 trip! Keep up the good work, you guys ROCK!

I know you probably won’t see this, but I’m thinking you’ll benefit from your Hellcat/Demon knowledge now, you’ll be able to find the right parts, partially because you already have a couple sitting around, but also because you really know what you’re looking for now. I think the Demon 170 is far worse than the old Demon, but you have the important parts and you’ll stick it all together like lego’s for less money. Net of $50,000
Sweet! I remember asking for the $$ rundown on this one (probably not the only one who asked.) I lost track of how many donor cars you bought. I'm so proud of how brave and strong you are for posting this. Also surprised it was only $71k. I underestimate the money made from selling individual parts vs selling a whole package. I agree with the other person who said to subtract the advertiser/youtube income... but you also already had going the ebay store for selling parts, and the shop storage for said parts... so it's not like the numbers will ever really compare to what it would have cost us regular Joes.
Finally - the 170 is going to come in less. Maybe. "Institutional knowledge" from the manual Demon project, and I don't think you're doing anything as crazy with the 170 build.

I loved the demon build. As crazy as it was it was entertaining and showed the ability to saved a wrecked and rare car and bring it back to life. I think the 170 is an insane project, but I think you’re much more knowledgeable now and will do things differently that will help save time and money.
I have a brand new set of demon logo tires in the attic. And a spare set of demon wheels. Crazy what this stuff costs.

I loved the demon project watched every vid but the demon 170 not only do I think it’s going to be more expensive but it make 1000 hp with no mods can’t wait till you start the 170 it’s going to be crazy
I could not wait for each episode in this series to come out. Checked my phone every day for new content. Now i have watched just about every video on your channels. Looks like you will be spending more for the 170, but just hope the engine doesn't crap out on you when you get finished.
I was more hooked on the purple Porsche 9whatever turbo. But its still nice to se other peoples struggles an how they overcome them. I have learned a ton of stuff from RUclips and you guys.

I think the demon 170 is a better starting point but I am confident you will be over $71,500 when it's done. At under 100 miles I don't think you can go wrong with it. Picking a demon that was so badly destroyed really put you behind the 8 ball with the manual demon. Blue car will be fun to watch.
I think the Demon 170 build will be more. You are a car guy and car guys always want bigger, better and faster than their last build. So, enjoy the ride. I know we will.
If the same love goes into the 170, then it's 100 gonna cost more.

I believe the new demon 170 build isn’t going to cost as much as the original because you’ve got more salvageable parts off of the new build. Not only that but you guys have gained a little more knowledgeable experience after the first build.

Guys I think the best option for the Demon 170 rebuild is to rebody it using one of your other chassis. You can sell the parts that are already chopped that you won't use for the project and then you can call it the "Demon 170 ish" since the vin won't be from a 170 :) my opinion of course. Good luck with the rebuild.

Worth the build, plus it's more content for us. It's not about the money. As you're already aware. It's the passion, drive and commitment. You would be doing it anyway. Now, you'll get paid extra because the content. Never feel like you're clocking into work....
The demon 170 build will be less expensive because you learned this and the learning curve will help future builds.

The Demon 170 build will come in WAY MORE than the 2028 Demon build. Since you will want the most HP, with the highest quality parts, my guess is at least $90k. Best of luck!
