- Urban Exploration: Untouched Abandoned Manor in the Czech Republic with Everything Still Inside
Secluded and lonely we discovered an abandoned manor-house in the rural part of the Czech Republic. On the last day of our road trip in May 2019, we were investigating the disappearing of a whole family. From one day to the next everything was simply left behind here some years ago and the residents of this big villa vanished into the night. Today, time stands still. It took us a while until we finally found an entrance but as we made it inside, we immediately set out on a search for clues. How is it possible that people leave their home permanently and neither take any valuables nor the items with sentimental value? Follow us to see what's left behind and to hear the story of this fascinating but yet really strange place. #urbex #abandonedplaces #bwturbex

Urbex is always taking us to the most fascinating places. It's amazing what we have experienced again on our five-day road trip in and around Hungary earlier this year. But actually, this was just a foretaste of what's to come because what we're planning for the future is much bigger. Thanks a ton for all your support and keep exploring!
This place is totally amazing. Thanks for taking us with you on this incredible journey.
Be safe on your journey. Get some good shots and views as well. I do have a question. Why is it the electricity in some parts of Europe are still on after years of being abandoned? I know your not a Q and A. But just was wondering that. Well guys happy exploring and sending out good vibes.
The abandoned villa is cleaner than my hotel in China Vlog37
I hope you visit philippines soon..
Thank u for your amazing videos
I love that there is no vandalizism.
Yet. Some "explorers" are not as respectful.
In America it would have gotten trashed or turned into a junkie shooting gallery
Come on now, not all junkies look, sound, an behave like the stereotypical junkie. God bless everyone of them
In Brazil there would be like 30 families living there, they would get in as soon as they realized it's abandoned.
Yeah I also love the fact its not vandalised, if it had been England it would of been covered in spray paint, I'm English and live in England and still don't understand why we have to keep vandalising everything from shop windows to bins public toilets, buses and abandoned places, drives me crazy 🤪
Odd that the house looks frozen in time sometime in the late 70's or early 80's but the car only looks about 10 years old.
MegaRoo 😂😂 thank you. Finally someone voiced out what my thoughts was when seeing the car,
True that
This would also go hand in hand with my theory that they didn't all disappear at the same time! Perhaps the scientist was left there alone by the wife and children, and he stayed there for several years alone and experimenting, until he finally descended into madness, went into the woods and never came back. (See my comment below or on top, depending how your comments are set up!)
i think the car might be a suzuki grand vitara from 2006 at the earliest, which is so strange because the house interior looks so old minus the calendars
Maybe because elderly lived there? So their stuffs are from the old days?
I wonder if they were killed ... does anyone else thinks that car looks pretty new
Grace Pineda I think so
I agree
Grace Pineda it’s a Suzuki vitara yeah it’s pretty new 2013 tops
Grace Pineda I wonder that to
I was thinking that too. So many people get away with murder. I feel it was a money issue or because he was a scientist he may have knew something too deep and they wanted him gone
This mansion has a very sad vibe to it. Every item in the home meant something to some one. SO sad they couldn't take the old photos of family that are irreplaceable. I hope someone rescues it before it's too late 😔
I was unlawfully evicted from my apartmen in Budapest 2014.With belongings and living in my car I roamed Europe. In Geneva,CH the car with all my belonging was taken in my absence by an arab policeman. ALL my personal items, documents, souvenirs, passports, diplomas...just got to the thieves market. Normal.
Maybe the forcen to leave.
@@jzk3919 what are you talking about! Why??
@@andreanicolas9363 😂😂😂 I was confused too🤷🏽♀️😆😆
I sometimes wonder if family members have come across these videos and been like "hey that's aunt Betty house" realising no one been to clean out the house
That be a weird situation! :D
ok Jess i have a strange imagain
im still thinking off but this home/palace was used as a moltel in 1960's-90's
but late 2000's this family just benish but left everything behind but im thinking that some day they could return for their things like private photos/gold/ un-used dirty clothing tiny redios ID's like un-payed home bills un-read mail still in their mail box
They probably got wiped out like the Russian royal family.

This is why people shouldn’t focus their entire life in material things once you are gone everything stay to crumble into dust.
N cant take them with us too.
Good one, i agree with you
Truee
I never saw a trailer attached to a hearse!
True
Not going to repeat the fact that there's a missing family but why authorities are so passive about it?
Possibly to not draw attention to it. I imagine the scientist living there must have discovered something important and took his family and fled when the authorities came after him.
Who says there's actually a missing family? There could be many reasons for the place to be abandoned overnight and enough paperwork to prove it. Don't let your imagination run wild
Somebody should know about the owners, they surely were known by local people and they must have had relatives who search for them after they vanished.
I remember about the background story of Downton Abby. The owner, he and his wife had inherited the place and was actually a major house. He said so many are lost because of the present cost of repair. He said he was grateful for the filming there of the tv series because it cost a million dollars just to repair the roof. So that is how most go, just no money to even attempt it.
Sad. I love seeing the old beautiful craftsmanship that went into them.
You don't let a car there, when you have no money.
The only way they would leave everything behind is if they were killed
Kelly Cranford that’s what I think aswell 😟
I agree...
I thought that to.
Or they are living overseas, under a different name.
thats im thiking too
I also think that.

Broken Window Theory 😎
Broken Window Theory I really love your channel , my newest fave seriously!
Guys I must say this is the best footage of abandoned properties I've seen. Very well filmed and presented and what intrigued me most, is that you respected the integrity of the property and you secured the window behind you! Bravo!
One can draw many scenarios since the property is centuries old and has changed many hands of ownership. The car is one big mystery... You don't leave your car when you abandon a place. The car could not have been part of the original debt of the house. If the the bank foreclosed the property the car could not have been included. I believe there is something sinister here. I don't say the last person was 'murdered' but I can assume he died of some accident - while hunting perhaps, and nobody ever looked for him...
Thank you very much!
The scientist discovered something that others did not want to find out, and was murdered because of it.. he was owner of car and mansion..
tell me more.
Yes please.

The best comments ,thank you
Veronika Duskova I agree , I think you are bang on 👍
State has taken it back and won’t invest in it .
What? Can you explain further? I don't understand. Yes, I'm Anerican...yes, we have strangers breaking into our homes and stealing. But your comment...from a bank???? What the hell? That would never happen here. Or the kids? Again...what? I am honestly wanting to know what you are saying. I dont get it. I work in hospitals, in critical care...I'm not unfamiliar with death and family arguments, but I dont get what you're saying. Please advise!
Bri S Lol are you OK? Calm down ;) The bank can seize possessions such as real estate if the owner is in debt. US banks do this too. Second possibility is that the owner died alone elsewhere, in a hospital for example, leaving the estate untouched as it is now. This is a plausible option, since he might’ve been picked up by ambulance, which explains the SUV in de garage.
Kim D the voice of reason .!!!
And sometimes a second language is difficult to translate.! I speak German and some words when translated into English are totally different. So an execution can also mean an order / or written eviction notice.
What surprises me is the suv car. It definitely is from the early 2010s because my family used to own that type of car
Yup is a 2007 suzuki vitara

I agree with you. It seems to me that plenty of things aren't a model of the olden age. It's amazing and beautiful.
Curious to know why is it a surprise? He said it was a note from 2010 & calendar from 2012 found...
It also shows some financial limitations. Those Suzukis are made in Hungary and have lower pirces plus state-guarantied loans for aiding the local buyers.

No, maybe he does return, that's why the different parts of the house look abandoned at different intervals and the chair placed so conveniently by the window and the very modern car, just saying....
Prince Oreo woww this is such an interesting outlook, it sounds like it would be a great book
if your comment is serious, then you shouldn't be shocked that perhaps they left it to confuse people and hide their perhaps true identity of reptilian order. I have seen other cases of this and think this is what it might be. there is an abandoned 10 million dollar mansion in Canada that is full of marble, which is what these entities use partly to feed on low frequencies.

This reminds me of a time when I was a child in northern California up in the hills above Oroville, California about 60 - 75 miles. My father and some relatives loved to go antique hunting, the house we came upon was in LaPorte, California, the house looked like someone just left suddenly and never returned, playing cards still on the table, nightgowns laying on the unmade beds, very mysterious, no one in the area know anything about this family, in a very remote area of the mountains.
I would have so much fun cleaning that house 🤣

This house was shown on Germany telly. It was a victum of reunification. The house was brought by an oligarch/lottery winner who bought the place and then went broke.

What do you mean by reunification ?
@jackieclark9679 Reunification or unification refers to East and West Germany becoming a single state after the fall Iron Curtain!

Might help to ask the peoples of nearby towns about what happened.
Do you guys ever do a family trace on these homes? This seems odd to me that everything is left. Strange that it was abandoned and no family has not claimed this home.
,،😵
Not really. If they didn't have children or extended family, it's plausible this situation can happen. Homes like these can also be a financial burden and are easier to abandon.
Could be put in to witness protection??
I found this in Wikipedia "During the 1970s and 1980s, many of Czechoslovakia's most creative individuals were silenced, imprisoned, or sent into exile." This may be what happened to this family. Sad.

I like your stuff! This house reminds me of a story about Czechoslovakia, my moms best friend's parents escaped from a family home in Czech but it was before the fall of Hitler. Stalin and Hitler were allied, they were very wealthy Jews. My god mom said men came in the night, they were babys her and her sister, and they only took a few things, they left everything even their car. They drove for several hours and then they walked for days and days. They get to water and a ship is there to smuggle them off to the coast of Texas. They boarded a train and went through the midwest than up to Detroit Michigan. Moved to Dearborn Michigan and settled on Greenfield & Michigan Ave. Thats how my mom got her best friend.
That's a pretty moving story!
It looks like different parts were abandoned at different times.
Interesting thought. We didn't considered that yet.
I agree for sure. :-) XX
That's what my thought was as well!
Looking at the vdo I also felt the same. Different portion of the mansion is abandoned different time by different generations.
@@bwturbex yeah, it's almost like they come and go, at different intervals because the car is by far the newest thing and that chair was placed by someone who knows it'll be there to come in and out.

As for the Mansion there could be several reasons for it be abandoned. The cost of up keep in maintenance and daily running like all the utilities. Another could be family probably didn't want to pay taxes on it or even the family no longer resides in the country.

Someone else commented it & I agree- these folks are the National Geographic of Urbex! It’s true!!!
These videos are just in another universe with even the biggest channels!! The humble & respectful approach to document & record the history, the backstory to the places & things, the artistic quality of the photography & videography - it’s just incredible!!!! Each video is a delight! It feels almost like actually being there in person & I always learn something interesting!!
KUDOS!
This is pretty much the only Urbex channel I can stand to watch, if I do watch any videos on other channels I have to mute the volume & fast forward through a lot. Their juvenile approach to the entire project, the inappropriate music, the way they have to handle, poke, prod & move objects, the commotion between the explorers, their ignorance as to the history of the places & things, their disregard of dangerous situations like black mold etc is just beyond annoying & makes it just impossible for me to enjoy looking at the places filmed. This channel has NONE of those issues - AT ALL!!! There’s just absolutely no comparison to be perfectly honest! 👏👏👏👏👏
My thoughts exactly!
I believe the narration and filming you do is the best of all the exploration teams on you tube!
Beautifully shot and narrated. I’ve been to the Czech Republic and was happy to see the green-garden countryside again. It was fascinating to hear about the layers of history and occupancy the manor showed. For some reason the spice jars standing so equally spaced moved me. Thank you, my first video of yours and I subscribed.
This gave me the chills, something really bad must of happened to this poor family. Why wouldn't there other friends or family try to find out what happened. Very sad and heartbreaking. Gave me the creeps looking at them pictures then seeing that newer vehicle.
And the fact that the photos are in color probably means it was occupied more recently..
I am surprised that no one knows what happened to the owners there must be records. It's sad that the beautiful house is left to rot.
This channel is amazing. The quality of work that goes into these videos is wonderful.
Thank you so much!
I am always amazed and dismayed at the abandonment of these incredible historic structures. With such an epidemic of homelessness, refugees and otherwise abandonment of fellow human beings why do we not somehow bring the two together? The resiliency, imagination and hard work of persons under desperate circumstances is incredible if given a opportunity. Seems to me both could be saved if brought together somehow. Thank you so much for your brave, professional and beautifully respectful productions. You're the best out there .❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! We thought a lot about reusing those abandoned structures for homeless people or refugees too. I guess it's hard to really make it happen with all that paper work which would be necessary.

Well said
Because a few bad eggs always ruin it. Then there's "baggage" in the form of personal conflict between people (ie: religion)...
The problem is that if the owner wanted to help the homeless he would have to basically dedicate him/herself completelly to doing so. There is simply too much corruption, political greed and special interest to donate and have someone else do it. I know from personal experience. My mom donated a large and valuable piece of land for a town to build a much needed playground. They never built anything and instead eventually divided and sold the lots. So you see there would have to be a completelly selfless person willing to invest in fixing and maintaining a property like that. I know of another place that supposedly take in homeless seniors and they are funded through donations. But you see the people in charge living luxuriously while the people they take in are treated not so well. I know because they also took care of elderly whose family would pay and when visiting we could see how it really was. Dont get me wrong, I know some elderly who had horrible tantrums and behaviour but if you claim you are going to do something then you should do it right or dont do it at all. This were firsthand experiences!
Hi, as you said this is a historical building. No camp for refugees or homeless people.
Maybe you can offer your own home for these people, if you are feeling so generous :).

Why cant someone buy it and turn it into place for the homeless?
That should be done with a lot of places but nobody wants to pay for it.
Sadly you can home the homeless.. But there's alot of bad people who became homeless for reasons.. And they could ruin it for the good homeless.. In nz they home the homeless.. And now motels and rentals are completely ruined and smashed up.
Heidi Omeara and on whose dime? Why can’t you buy it and pay for renovations? Use your money. Why always someone else’s money?
kiwi Family.. homelessness is so much more than good or bad people. When someone has become homeless they have usually endured years and years of emotional/physical abuse. Not only in regards to their upbringing but their experiences on the streets. Just housing them isn’t the answer although a positive first step, security and mental health help is necessary for this to be successful. Never judge in till you have walked someone’s footsteps. ❤️
@@londonmusicmum4560 where were they judging? They were speaking from experience. I've seen it myself, and it's true, places get completely trashed. For some reason, when certain people are given things absolutely free, they don't take care of it at all. Maybe because it's not their hard earned money that went into the place, or maybe because they simply don't care. Maybe many of them are mentally ill. It still doesn't take away from facts. People who are given free or low income housing don't take care of it like regular home owners. Some do sure, but not all! What do they have to lose? They will just get another place for free. They are given zero responsibility. But, it's true, it's a fact!

Hey Karl, welcome to the family! I think you got a lot more history lessons to watch then! ;)
You guys have done an amazing job, again. You taking Urbex to a new level where it is now an art form.
Really moving actually to see what was once a busy, active and life filled home now empty and unloved. It reminded me of a particular Tom Wait song, you know the one?
Thanks again 🙂
This came up in my recommendations, wow it's so Interesting and I'm glued to the screen! Amazing, thanks so much for sharing. I have now subscribed to your channel 😁
Just going through my daily dose of abandoned mansions...another 5 to go lol..love watching these
It's hard to imagine how much of a hard time there was in those times where the world wasn't able to protect the people. May be worth looking into the history more. I felt very sad seeing it like that, once happy family and friends and now just a ghost story. In England we would say "if only the walls could speak". Stay safe and well ❤️❤️
İn my country we would say the same, just in our language, or - the walls have ears too -when about to say something confidential. 😅
I find it so interesting that some rooms look like they haven’t been touched for 40 + years and yet there are areas that definitely had some living there more recently. And still other areas that the floors have broken though. Crazy!
Another great video guys. We love your videos and hope the support helps. Godspeed and good luck.
Found your channel just yesterday, and have been binge watching for hours. I find abandoned houses fascinating, as much as we like to let our imagination run wild, most times there is a logical explanation. This manor seems to have changed hands over its history, manly due to the country's political climate, as mentioned, parts were used as convent, and probably a nursing home. After the 1993 dissolution, the heir(s) of the estate returned to their ancestral home, many of the grounds were in ruins, so they lived in the parts that were habitable. We have to remember the era's turmoil during 1918-1990's, many people were killed and/or emigrated, so its likely there are not many family members left behind. It appears the last owner loved hunting/explorations and decided to go on a holiday and visit some of the places he had only seen in magazines. He probably had a friend or took a taxi to the airport, hence the car in the garage, and personal items left behind. He probably died overseas due to an accident or natural causes. If there were no descendants, nobody claimed his body. Seems there was a female at one point, but she probably left him, maybe the break-up led him to full-fill his dream of travel. When a person passes away, in most countries, there's a period of waiting to see if an inheritor shows up, after that time, the municipal entity takes over the property. Many municipalities don't have the funds to rehabilitate old states, so it comes down to historical societies to present plans to re-habilitate them. Due to Czechoslovakia's history, there must be plenty of historical building to compete for this type of project.
Some people leave their homes when they know they are going to prison so they flee the country. They could care less about that house
These kind of places are my favorite. I couldn't even guess as to why it is deserted. Such a shame, with all that history behind it, someone should be caring for it.
Normally, I´d expect one of three things, if most of the stuff remains including the car:
1) the person passed away and no-one claimed their heritage (possibly because it would be with a lot of work and costs attached)
2) the cops were looking for him
3) organised crime looking for them
Hate to this disappear if its not to far from traffic could turn it into Bed & breakfast. Yes have repair/fix things but such a shameto loose this jewel.
Of all the explorer channels I've watched or I'm subscribed to I must admit you guys are the best I've ever seen, others have their qualities and such, a few do very well at what they explore. For instance the Bearded Explorer explores properties with abandoned cars, Explomo does a good job with what they do even though their pronunciation of certain words needs a little work. But I'm genuinely impressed with you guys. You give as much info as you can on the place you're exploring, thank you.
It’s amazing the vast array of items from different time periods
why can't they Run the Licence Plates on the Car or look up the VIN NUMBER???
I know here in America you can’t run license plates unless you have a good reason to. Especially the police. They monitor license plates you run and ask you why you ran them. Of course not sure about this country. But not many people just can run peoples license plates.
Kari M not true. Your plate can be ran at any time for no reason. Most cop cars has plate readers that scan the plates while they drive. DMV owns the plates on your car
Im working in Sirius xm.. you can provide me the Vin no. and I’ll go and check it for yall
@Kari M in Uk anyone can check plates on the government website, no reason needed
Juanita Mullen I’m in New York and they can run your plates for no reason. The plate it in public view for all.
Thanks guys!! With everything falling into pieces I found the shot of the high heels ironic.
Although I love these videos of lost times they also bring much sadness. Not knowing why the home was deserted and if the former occupants are safe weighs on my mind. My first instinct thou in the rooms that had been vandalized was to immediately start picking things up and putting them away. I really don’t understand why places like that can’t be restored and taken care of.
Why goverment not take over ?
Thank you for sharing with us 🎥 Great video 👍 Greetings from Poland 👏
Sure, we love to share our adventures! Have you checked out the other videos yet? :)
Rooms looked like they might have has different occupants I was thinking a form of boarding house that they we forced out of suddenly leaving their belongings behind.
I love mystery stories like this so I subbed! 🙂
Very interesting your channel and since I am a photographer this is a gem, I also like the way you narrate the history. Thank you for uploading.
My theory: There was a family living here - the patriach being the scientist - with his wife and 3 children. Some research was being done, which involved frail and aging people who lived on the premises. A tragedy happened, possibly with one of the children, caused by some of the research being done. Following the tragedy, the wife left with the two remaining children, leaving the father in the mansion alone with the elderly “patients”. One by one the patients passed away and eventually the scientist was left alone with his experiment, until he finally descended into madness. One day he left the house on foot to go look for his wife and children. He got lost in the woods, never to be seen again.
Quite so dear
Omg that’s prob what happened🤯
But Why didnt he use the car

7:51 Ugh I’d so badly want to go home with some of those mid century chairs 😍😍 but the rule of looking and not touching must be respected. That and I am scared of the ties that objects that do not belong to me have.
Great video! Well done research. Could not have been easy
Why would you possibly be scared of inanimate objects? Unless you really believe that myth that things can attach to the object?
Sarcastically Deranged whose to say that it’s a myth? The entire universe is built around, sustained with, and is unified by energy. Energy is in everything, inanimate or not. We don’t know anything about anything and there are infinite possibilities about the life sustained on this earth. To think you know something with such certainly when we really have no way of proving right or wrong/left or right/black or white is pretty bold. Unless there’s something you know and we don’t? 🤨
@Mel Rose I don't believe that I know everything, but I can't remotely believe in objects holding in energy.
@@sarcasticallyrearranged well it's called respeting someone's valuables
Honestly i feel that if its rotting why not some of these places have beautiful furniture. Yes it doesnt belong to you but is it worth preserving. ...now on the other hand ...we went into an old abandoned farm and checked out the house that was full of stuff but obviously rotting..we left and were looking around the farm area. I picked up an old rusty horse shoe brought it home. Thought nothing of it. 2 days later the farm burned down and no one knows how and that horse shoe has really given me nothing but crap my whole life...however if i found some piece of furniture that was worth saving you bet i would
Browsing myself and found this
