- Hello everyone and welcome to Same Same But Different. A short segment discussing 2 similar looking boards, but break down their differences. A lot can change a board, rocker profiles, bottom contours and even rails. So we dive deep to find out what does what, and what might work for you at your local breaks. In this episode of Same Same But Different we look at wide point back style templates and how using different bottom and rail configurations can change the boards objective. Personally I have been a real fan of these outlines in my personal longboard quiver. But these two boards surf a lot different than you would think. Hope you enjoy!

Nicely done. BTW, the 1966 World Championships were held in San Diego, not Huntington.
About a week after I did this I researched it again and realized I got the location wrong. I had so much fun with this one I didn’t even realize it.

I love everything except for the surfing footage. Good footage but I get too distracted trying to compare the rides when they are shown at the same time and end up lost somewhere in between. While it would make the videos longer, I think having one board at a time would add to the visual learning experience.
But I also want to make clear that I love these videos overall and that is the main point.
Definitely something that I will look into. I appreciate your honesty about the layout.
