Harry's principal resident has always been the Montecito home since he moved there, and they had no home in the UK after Frogmore. It was always his intent to live in the USA and visit the UK. But while his security was being litigated he wanted to appear that he wanted to remain a part of the UK, had a home in the UK, and therefore had reason to "return home" in the UK meaning he needed security. Now that his VISA is under scrutiny and his IPP status denied he flips because now he needs it to look like he loves America, wants to be an American, so don't boot him out, and once again, merely self-serving. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time. Its about time we stopped treating Harry like he is anything more than equal to everyone else instead of "special". UK police security and IPP status are not related. He is no longer a working member of the royal family and is publicly estranged from them. He does not represent the King or the UK Government in any way. By definition he does not, and cannot, qualify for IPP status. In addition to the IPP status, the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) made a decision, in 2020, to downgrade the level of personal security provided to Prince Harry when he visits the U.K. The downgrade meant that Prince Harry received less taxpayer-funded protection compared to other royals, i.e. UK police security when undertaking private activities. His lawyers tried to challenge this decision, arguing that it was “unlawful and unfair.” Whether or not Harry gets official police security in the UK is based on risk. Not his opinion of his risk, but actual risk assessed objectively by qualified people. The Home Office clarified that while Prince Harry could still have access to some taxpayer-funded security provisions, these would be “bespoke arrangements” rather than automatically provided security detail. He would have to submit his visit plans to the UK where each would be judged on a case by case study as to what the risk level was and security qualifications. It is really not up for discussion. Catherine's titles are: HRH Catherine, Princess of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and Duchess of Cambridge. In my home town in Indiana of the United States, we have pantry boxes erected on one family’s property next to the curb. The local residents of the neighborhood or anyone who wishes to donate non-perishables. The family take care of having perishables such as milk, eggs, butter, bread, fresh fruits and vegetables available when possible. Absolutely anyone who needs help may help themselves from the box anonymously. If they would like perishables they do have to speak to the homeowner as they are responsible for any items that need refrigeration etc. The box in my neighborhood has been in place for 6 years, and has a tremendous amount of products have been distributed in this manner. It’s wonderful to see how much is donated.

Harry's principal resident has always been the Montecito home since he moved there, and they had no home in the UK after Frogmore. It was always his intent to live in the USA and visit the UK. But while his security was being litigated he wanted to appear that he wanted to remain a part of the UK, had a home in the UK, and therefore had reason to "return home" in the UK meaning he needed security.
Now that his VISA is under scrutiny and his IPP status denied he flips because now he needs it to look like he loves America, wants to be an American, so don't boot him out, and once again, merely self-serving. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time.
Its about time we stopped treating Harry like he is anything more than equal to everyone else instead of "special". Time to stop feeling a need to be polite but hold him accountable, and call him out. At least that way, maybe he will become a good citizen not the entitled, rude elitist one he continues to be.

UK police security and IPP status are not related.
He is no longer a working member of the royal family and is publicly estranged from them. He does not represent the King or the UK Government in any way. By definition he does not, and cannot, qualify for IPP status.
In addition to the IPP status, the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) made a decision, in 2020, to downgrade the level of personal security provided to Prince Harry when he visits the U.K.
The downgrade meant that Prince Harry received less taxpayer-funded protection compared to other royals, i.e. UK police security when undertaking private activities. His lawyers tried to challenge this decision, arguing that it was “unlawful and unfair.”
Whether or not Harry gets official police security in the UK is based on risk. Not his opinion of his risk, but actual risk assessed objectively by qualified people.
The Home Office clarified that while Prince Harry could still have access to some taxpayer-funded security provisions, these would be “bespoke arrangements” rather than automatically provided security detail. He would have to submit his visit plans to the UK where each would be judged on a case by case study as to what the risk level was and security qualifications.

In my home town in Indiana of the United States, we have pantry boxes erected on one family’s property next to the curb. The local residents of the neighborhood or anyone who wishes to donate non-perishables. The family take care of having perishables such as milk, eggs, butter, bread, fresh fruits and vegetables available when possible. Absolutely anyone who needs help may help themselves from the box anonymously. If they would like perishables they do have to speak to the homeowner as they are responsible for any items that need refrigeration etc. The box in my neighborhood has been in place for 6 years, and has a tremendous amount of products have been distributed in this manner. It’s wonderful to see how much is donated.
