Well he's repeatedly said that he didn't expect Sail to get any airplay or to be the song that did well. I was thinking that it might kind of suck if you wrote a song just as kind of a cathartic thing while you're at a really low point to then have to sing it everywhere you go for the next umpteen years. I mean I'm sure he's happy people like it but still.

I've actually noticed him doing that on several live performances. Not that I'm just going through and watching all the live performances of Sail or anything..that would be obsessive. *cough* Might be a difficult line for him?
It doesn't need to be said. We know the lyrics and he showed the emotion of thinking of killing himself. It was actually pretty powerful like that imo. : )
I've seen them live several times. They do the same songs, but they do them so differently every time. It's super cool. Always nice to hear a different side.
I love this song and the band but i hate how there aren't any real drums and the fact that the singer lost his nuts..
