Been watching for some months now. This hunt takes the cake. Great variety!!! So sorry Christine couldn't be there to pout at your success. Yup, I miss her too. Thanks for showing us your mug for a little while at the begining though. I laugh every time you two find a ring. I started detecting around the begining of March 2022 , retired, so lots and lots of hours hunting with my GARRETT 400 ( thanks again and again for getting me back out there by gifting it to me!)and have yet to find a gold or silver ring. Only a tungsten men's band, surface find in a tourist parking lot.Not complaining. I have more than enough fun. It weird though. MOST of my finds are coins or small hardware bits. Happy Solstice every one! More day light - more treasure hunting.

Great idea... I wanna feed them next time and the Gary Gulls at the beach. I can get nuts but I don't think it is a great idea to feed the gulls bread. Maybe buy some bait fish but I might create a monster with that....lol
I wonder how many people realize the heroic job of cleaning out unwanted and dangerous metal lurking in tot lots that you and Christine do. Congrats on the gold and silver strikes. Stay safe and keep on diggin'.
I agree Mike... once in a while we get a dirty look...mostly at parks so I usually chat people up and when they find out (I show and tell) they change their tune real quick. Thank you

Was rewatching some of Bills' first videos from January and March 2020. If Christine was there today she would have been hoarse from saying, "OOOOOO, I'm Tellin!!!" BIG holes. It is amazing how we all (myself included) evolve and fine tune our hunting, digging, target guessing and site selection etc. over the years !! Noticing that with the other channel I have been a faithful follower of. 🙂 🧁

I agree that the playgrounds aren't yielding much lately, maybe due to cold weather? And I too find stuff i must have missed before due to the aging on the item. Another good vid!!
Yeah, I will still keep going but don't spend as much time in the tot lot. Our beaches are still hit and miss but probably better in the dry rather than down in the surf unless there is a really low tide then you could find older targets

Thanks Deb... we think the trash removal is an important part of this hobby. I recently had a target in the grass, when to dig it and realized it already was dug (had a plug) and I am guessing someone dug it, saw it was trash, and just put the plug back... wow, that was not cool. But it is about the same as when people are on the beach and do not fill their holes... I have this mental game I play.... don't tell but I talk to myself. I keep saying that I am doing a good thing removing the trash so please reward me with a treasure....lol

@@DigginSoCal I have the Detect Ed carbon fiber shaft on my NOX 800.. I love it, it is light and stable. The Simplex on the other hand is heavy and the shaft wobbles. Yep the NOX is my go to machine.. Keep swingin'...

It was interesting to watch you detect, reassuring too as everything thing do in the parks is what I’ve learn’t while detecting. Also they are being replaced with new play equipment and less finds except for nuts and bolts.

That chain reminds me of a chain I pulled out the bay magnet fishing. It was so heavy. About 8 feet of chain and I had to carry it to the trash can. Later I saw someone take it out the trash and he was super happy
Cleaning up the trash is a valuable part of what we do when metal detecting. Any “good” finds is one of the bonuses. (I hope all detectorists dispose of the trash they find!!) Locally, for me, I’ve had less success for good finds in parks recently, and have gone back more to curb strips where I can find them. Hoping Santa has an upgrade detector for me 😉 then I can go back over the areas I’ve been before. Cheers 🐈 and happy holidays.

Thanks. I know. I felt bad. We ran the camera for 30 mins straight at her first hunt and it was really bad. Location matters along with a lil luck
That chain reminds me of a chain I pulled out the bay magnet fishing. It was so heavy. About 8 feet of chain and I had to carry it to the trash can. Later I saw someone take it out the trash and he was super happy

Wow... brrrr. That makes hunting rather impossible.
Cleaning up the trash is a valuable part of what we do when metal detecting. Any “good” finds is one of the bonuses. (I hope all detectorists dispose of the trash they find!!)
Locally, for me, I’ve had less success for good finds in parks recently, and have gone back more to curb strips where I can find them. Hoping Santa has an upgrade detector for me 😉 then I can go back over the areas I’ve been before.
