I don't believe Ubislop will crash and burn anytime soon but between Skull & Bones, Assassin's Creed and Star Wars, this will be one of their roughest years in terms of cost vs earnings.
They made a profit on avatar, and a huge profit on xdefiant. Outlaws will likely sell 4-6 million copies, and ac shadows will sell 10+ million. All of that should cancel out skull and bones.

The "modern audience" has always been themselves. It is the game developers and the game journalist that live in LA area. Honestly, most western media should only be sold in LA with a budget targeted for that to be profitable. Of course they couldn't do that because no one would give them any funding. Its impressive how easy Ubisoft has made it seem to ruin something that should've been an easy win for them. Conceptually all the right ideas for Outlaws are there: multiple open world planets, GTA style wanted system, a spaceship you can fly from the planet into space with things to do out in space, different blasters with multiple firing modes etc. Should've been a no brainer to also add a character creator to boot or at the bare minimum make the character look and act more appealing. The combat is some of the blandest I've seen in a Star Wars game. Instead they've been convinced lighting money on fire is the better idea
I don't mind female leads , that being said I'm not buying this solely because it should have been a Han solo game , or at the bare minimum had a character creator , might have picked it up on sale for like 85% off in a couple of years if so and probably would have bought it new if it was Han and chewie

You can’t have games like fortnight, COD, valorant/apex/overwatch, be out in the market and be free and then go and try to sell people a similar game or worse for $50-$70+ dollars.
