Zhang was cheated by the ref, then cheated by her opponent, and harassed by the Hungarian crowd. I don’t blame her for standing up for herself or for leaving. I hope a formal complaint is made. Toth was unprofessional.
Toth was in the right, Zhang was a crybaby. No matter if the ball was on the line or not, the umpire went down and called the ball out. So at most, that is the umpires mistake. Then Zhang cried for over 5 minutes, they played a new point and that's when Toth removed the mark. Removing the marks is totally normal. Why is Zhang crying over Toth removing the mark? The point is over, it was called out. Nothing good comes from keeping the mark and continuing to argue over such a call it's completely ridiculous.
@xSaikusu Removing the mark was a good thing. It'd help with future claims! All of us have done it while playing tennis! Toth was not wrong for removing the mark. Her celebration wasn't necessary! It looked immature!

Toth apologised and said she did not show disrespect and was done in a hear of the moment. She is obviously lying. Action at the heat of the moment is usually true reflection of her intention. China has a big enough market to have sport on her own. There is no need to get involved with unfriendly countries.
Most of the comments are ridiculous. ONE wrong decision. That happens all the time. Because of one point the other player freaks out and gets a panic attack? Seriously? That’s ridiculous. She shouldn’t chose professional sports as a job if she has such mental issues. Toth should receive a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. That’s it. She is not responsible for the mental condition of the other player.
@AustrianStacker no, I don't. When you're in a foreign country and there's blatant cheating against you, it's traumatizing. I'm glad she lashed out and the Hungarian tournament gets called out for blatant cheating. If there isn't physical evidence, such as a ball mark on a clay court, then there's a possibility for just a missed call. This is blatant cheating all the way up the chain, linesman, judge, etc. WTA needs to provide an even playing field for all players, regardless of where the tournament is being played

I can understand if the ball mark barely clipped the line, I even understand borderline decisions. But this is ridiculous, about 30% of the ball mark is clipping the line, unless the ball magically changed shape from circle/oval to crescent, this is in!!! The question to the cheating umpire is “show me the distance between the ball mark and the line” she won’t be able to do that and has to concede. Toth also could have spoken up to show good sportsmanship. Many players do correct the umpire because they don’t want to win by unfair means. This wasn’t a victory to Toth, this was her defeat in morality.
