- The LEGO Star Wars Razor Crest is one of the most anticipated sets of 2020! With 1,023 pieces this set is quite the build and the piece count probably undersells the true size of this thing! Whilst it’s a great set, the one thing I wish it had (other then slightly improved minifigs) is that weapons closet that he uses a few times throughout season 1. It’s still a great set though and I’m definitely gonna pick it up

One thing he missed is that the baby yoda fig fits really well in mando’s lap when in the cockpit. Looks pretty cute too

I’ve very rarely seen this much interior space and detail on a Star Wars, or general, lego set, and that’s amazing. 1000/10
I know, its almost like they designed it to be more playable and “modable” becuase there is so much space on the inside to really add whatever interior design you want. Also it is a really fun build, i finished it all in 2 hours and 17 mins

That’s one of the many reasons I want this set. All the mandos did just go together.
I saw Ryan at the lego store yesterday, I went there for two reasons: 1 I wanted to meet him, and two, 501st battle packs, I didnt see him before I went in so I assumed he wasnt coming, then sure enough, I walked out of the lego looked over at the Line, and saw him I knew it was him because he had on his Celtics Jersey, I wish I had said something Ryan, and I really hope I can meet you someday in the future!

I love how LEGO actually gave a large +100$ set from the Star Wars theme an actually really good interior. If I hadn’t seen pictures of it before building it I would’ve expected for it to have a cockpit and a small cargo area in the back. Very pleased that it uses the empty spaces very well

Best playability, and displayability for me. The minifigure scale is also awesome. Definitely, one of the best non-UCS sets yet.

I just started watching the mandalorian on disney plus and im loving it. I've always loved the movies as a kid and even getting some of the legos as a kid. now this has me wanting to start buying legos

Honestly having Mando in his old armor doesn't bother me since we're getting him in beskar armor later. What bothers me is that he should have gotten arm printing for exclusivity.
Now 2 years later we are begging Lego to stop making the beskar armor figures now those old figures are more valuable just because they only came out in 2 sets.
Well, you got exclusive Mando arm printing in a Razor Crest set… just not this one.
Out of all the LEGO sets i got from the Death Star, to tie fighters x wings, and so on, the Razor Crest is probably the best one. I mean the build of it was so good and that cockpit design with that connector piece is so interesting, I’ve never seen or had a LEGO set with that type of mechanism. And man it is also quite emotional seeing after... well... what happened to it in the show. I won’t spoil what happened to it because not everyone has seen The Mandalorian Season 2 yet. But the impact of the event was definitely emotional.
I love this set even though I don't have it, the things they could have done better are:
- Beskar Mando
- Leg printing on Greef Karga
- IG-11 to be more accurate
- Something for the scout trooper, like a speeder idk
- Maybe an extra figure?
That's my personal opinion but other than that the build is perfect and it's just a great set!
more than enough figures, adding a speeder would add to the price, even if the speeder is 200 pieces it would add $40.

I think the two characters in carbonite are from the show. One of them is the bounty that Mando went to collect and said, "I can bring you in hot or I can bring you in cold." and the second one is the character who betrayed Mando in catching Fennec. That is really smart of LEGO!!

I recently picked this set up during a sale. This set was definitely worth the money, great minifigures, awesome design, and overall a great set to collect and even play around with.

Never watched mandalorian... know all I need to from KOTOR, but I loved the build and looks!!!
Also the bay is big enough to put the speeder bike from the sand people kit, the one with the balista, which is a fun bonus
Really hop FedEx doesn't mess up my box...... anywho, nice review you completely eliminated any skepticism I had of this set and I cannot wait to throw it together

This was a fun build. Love how it turned out. It’s a big, heavy ship and proud to have it in my collection. My only real gripe was I wish the Grogu mini figure came with the ball from the gear shaft.
Just found out yesterday that my dad got the original box art and set for the Razor Crest and is gonna give it to me for Christmas!! Can’t wait!

I modified mine and man it’s very worth doing your own thing to it, there’s so much room for creativeness that I think it was legos idea for that while also saving them and customers a few extra dollars

Funny that you say this set has an inaccurate mando while the AT ST one was fine. He started the show with this ship and this armor, so they definitely coexisted on screen. However, in the one episode with the AT ST, he had full beskar.
I wish this was a beskar mando and I understand why for production reasons they didn't give him the upgraded armor in the AT ST set, but it still "makes sense" to have this version of him here.
It doesn’t make sense with the scout trooper included. That only happened in episode 8
Malachi Witherwax The scour trooper was clearly added later on. No need to complain about an extra fig that may not be in the same continuity as the rest of the set. Who actually cares that much? We’re going to get a beskar mando eventually. Sheesh
WelcomeToTheJungl3 I don’t care that much overall, I mean I’d like to have one now but that’s kind of a first world problem. All I’m saying is that it doesn’t make sense. I’m certainly not complaining, that scout trooper looks awesome and I haven’t gotten any of the new ones
Atst raider was designed before the show came out so they might not have known he had beskar
The AT-ST raider was out by Christmas, they might not have known about the armor yet when it was finalized, just the raider, but that's just a guess
Great review again and I am looking forward to building mine later today. It would be great to have a Beskar armour version, but I also think that the Mando we get with this set is entirely ok to go with the set. My reasoning is we only see bounties frozen in carbonite on the Razor Crest in episode 1, and there are some included in this set. For all of episode 1 the Mando is wearing more or less this armour (he does of course get a new beskar pauldron part way through the episode). Like wise IG-11 and Greef Karga we also meet in episode 1 I believe. So if anything this is an earlier episode Razor Crest set and the Scout trooper is the out of place figure. I think it should have been a Kuiil figure in this set as he also shows up in Episode 1, rather than the scout. That would make more sense although I am happy to get this Scout trooper, its a great figure. I also hope we get a Beskar Mando in the future as it is desperately needed, but would have made more sense with the AT-ST raider as Mando is wearing Beskar when we see that vehicle the show. Also the Mando at the top of the box is not a Beskar mando if you look at the chest plate. Mando seems to have a Beskar helmet from the outset of the series and only upgrades some of the other armour pieces he has to Beskar.
going back to this video with hindsight is hilarious since we all have way too many beskar mando figures

I actually think they can make a smaller version of this ship which would have a slightly smaller footprint but would still be designed around having good interior space. Maybe a 6 stud wide interior space. Similar to the smaller version of the X Wing and Slave 1.

getting hyped for season 2 i went and bought one, it was a fun build and had a lot of surprising strong reinforced strength in areas. I now want to order some light bricks for it to light up the inside

The big thing that I feel is missing is The Child’s ride thing. It would’ve been cool to have it, and make a reason to get this for The Child instead of the buildable character version
How hard would have 3/4's of a grey egg been to include to put him in? Like an extra 10 pieces.

Brayden P they aren’t the same vehicle, but I feel like there are a few similarities, the size, price, and both are bounty hunter’s ships, it’s a bit of a stretch maybe but it would be cool

Makes total sense to compare the two. Design/shape-wise, the Razor Crest actually looks like a Slave 1 that flies horizontally. Even the cockpit and placement of the pilots are the same when landed. Turbines on the RC look like A-10 Warthog engines, but are similarly placed to the wings on the S1. I’d wager the razor crest was heavily inspired by Slave 1.

This is the only set I have ever gotten before you. I'm so proud of myself! I got it on the 29th August because for some reason Australian stores (I live in Australia) like Kmart got it early.
The only complain I got about this set is that there’s no weapon rack inside the ship like we see in the show. Gonna try to make a small one myself.
