From a political mindset I cannot see why he would have given an okay on using chemical weapons. Even if it was Syrian troops that fired the gas rounds the order probably was given by a desperate (or depraved) officer. Why would he resort to gassing his own people when they're already winning and under intense international scrutiny? Makes no sense.

No one should take him out of power. We created a power vacuum in Iraq and should not do the same in Syria. The opposition is far too radical and that country's struggle, is not really our business. Aside from funding the opposition. History shows time and time again, that we in the United States, tend to support the wrong side and end up on the ugly side of history. I'm skeptical on our country's future. I really hope we can change our foreign policy. This man's actions are solely done to maintain order in his country. May he get things under control eventually. I would hate to see what would happen if ISIL, al-Nusra, or Al Qaeda take control of Syria. :(
