    Cant spend a third of what my house cost on a truck. When Toyota remembers the supply demand concept, maybe they will price them correctly and we wil come of the bench and buy

    • @MichaelRichards983
      @MichaelRichards983 Месяц назад +5

      The pricing is never going to change for the lower; with new regulations/requirements these vehicles are the cheapest that they will ever be.

    • @ericcarson342
      @ericcarson342 Месяц назад

      Pretty sure they did their research on supply/demand. Pricing is about right. People will still buy these trucks, including the top of the line models. And Toyota will continue pricing them accordingly.

      Everyone assumes Toyota corp is over pricing and being greedy . No one takes into account the state of inflation , economy and buying power of dollar ect . If we regular people pay more for things so are people that offer goods or services . At the end of the day there is other options and other midsize manufacturers . Apples to apples models most are expensive in today’s world . If you’re unhappy with Toyota corp msrp pricing then you can buy elsewhere . Also Toyota dealers aren’t Toyota corp . So if they do ridiculous markups then don’t buy and don’t blame Toyota corp .

      @@MichaelRichards983another great point . Gov I’d say over regulating most things and consumer pays the price of the extra cost of corps to meet those regs . In the auto industry there is 100 percent an agenda being pushed by government here in the US. Without getting political all I’ll say again that in the end it’s costing consumers an enormous amount for decent transportation.

      There’s a huge market for midzise truck specialy for people that wants nothing to do with the gigantic full size truck.. I’ve seen a couple on the road with their temp plates on.. as far as my local dealership I’ve only seen about 2-3 out in the parking lot. So it depends when or who’s getting them they will eventually sell.
      It’s a a Toyota and I think they look sharp n great compare to the last gen. . 🤷🏽‍♂️

  • @KO_infamous

    Agreed, been saying this since the announcement, they've created a problem. The Tacoma and greater Toyota secondary market are MASSIVE and everyone will come to realize the lack of value in the Pro. Get a TRD OR, get a custom suspension/long travel if thats what you want, new wheels and 35s, and do some skid plates, bed accessories and maybe some slight engine upgrades and you'll save money but have a more capable truck built exactly how you want it.

  • @Hengsha

    I agree the pro is obscene approaching 70k, hopefully these continue to rot on lots and dealers have to start marking them down. Moving all Tacoma production to Mexico and hiking the msrp up way beyond inflation was such a scummy move.

    As soon as you said 4 cylinder, that's when it is a hard pass. Such a great truck but needs at minimum a V6 with an 8 speed / 10 speed. Even better would be the turbo charged V6 version for TRD models. The smaller engine just can't do much other than get fuel economy on the highway. Towing is bad, off roading is bad, it has no torque for any "realistic" conditions off road, the list goes on.
    I totally get it, buy a Tacoma TRD for the suburban dad using it to grab mulch from lowes on a weekend and drive the kids around to the local park or whatever. Otherwise it just kind of sucks for most other things.

    Here's the total scoop! TOYOTA needs to get in touch with the people that buy TACOMAS and ask "what do you want"? Here's what we want: 1. Reliable quality! So no 4cyc turbo.
    2. We want an engine that doesn't look like a hot mess! 3. Hand brake No one asked for an electric one 4. Spend more than 7.00 dollars on the speakers. Offer people just a Audio upgrade for a reasonable amount! 3. No stupid air dam No one is keeping it for a 1 MPG increase at best! You have taken the most loyal fans and have them now looking toward Nissan and the Frontier because it's a V-6 and they have worked very hard to be comparable and they are now better because a V6 always outlasts a Turbo 4.

    Is there a best Tacoma to buy? I doubt it now! They can keep their overpriced 4 banger! Toyota has decided to outprice low and middle class buyers that they relied on over the years to move their brand! Piss off!
