- A Beginner's Guide to playing Falco in Super Smash Bros Melee
With an influx of Ultimate players that are interested in learning melee watching my channel, I wanted to give them a character guide to help them get into competitive melee. They voted on both Falco and Marth, so today I'll be doing Falco and later during the weekend, I will be doing Marth.

Mango is the best falco player for sure. I always saw him as an all in type of falco with some unique follow ups to situations that no one else would really think of. As a Falco main for a total of 14 years, this video made me understand these mechanics in 4 minutes which I never really thought too much about my whole smash career... Great video! Keep up the good work!

“Play neutral from about roll distance away” is nice advice. What would the equivalent be for Fox?
depends on the match up really, but you want to try and stay outside of the opponents immediate burst options. I made a video on spacing a while back, so check it out!
even though i asked for a sheik tutorial i ended up deciding to switch over to falco as a main as i’m early and he feels nice to me , massive W and good video

oh, i just hated her recovery and just her movement and move set in general , and her short hop is aids compared to falco’s so i decided to switch
I think you need to disable resample if you are on sony vegas / or the equivalent of that for Pr. Frames are ghosting and lowers the visual quality of an otherwise great content quality video
Isn't falco's Nair safer on shield but can be cc'd at low percents?
Yes, and I actually said this in the video
Even though Fox and Falco are semi-clones of one another, Falco is MUCH easier to play at low to mid level than fox. If you're a beginner, and on the fence about what spacie to main, I highly recommend Falco over fox that way you can learn the fundamentals of the game.
Although some people may call you "boring" cause falco players are a dime a dozen lmao

Slippi Falco Guide:
1. Buy potato laptop computer, install Slippi.
2. Drive to Starbucks, Wal-Mart or another major retailer, park in the Veteran Parking spot and connect to the public Wi-Fi from your Mom's Camry.
3. Fire up Slippi, select Falco and quit out of/strike every stage except Dreamland and Fountain.
4. Laser Laser crossup Dair Shine.
5. Goto Step 4. Break when Diamond 1.
Started playing slippi in 2024 week 1: No game is entertaining anymore

There is no Ultimate player like Falco. No character in Ultimate feels good to play as Melee falco and yea it makes me sad..

@@djhooker8782 it doesn’t feel really harder to win as fox at low level it just different caracther but both are pretty hard to master and about the same to get wins you just need to play differently and learn different stuff to get going
I feel like no video can break the game down into a simple enough format for me to learn. I think calling this a beginner guide is misleading, it is more intermidiate.
If you want, I could make some more entry level guides to teach players basic tech and applications.
