Agreed, I did not expect him to burn down the cabin but understand why he did it. I’m expecting that coach is on the menu next if not this winter possibly they find him in the spring
i dont think coach ben did it tho, hear me out, he only took the matches to start fires for himself (since he couldnt as we saw in that one scene) and it would be really hard for him to do so bc he has one leg and its still winter, when mari accuses him of stealing the bear meat, he says “ive got one leg, not exactly nimble in the show,” theres no way he could lock them inside without making noise and shauna hearing him considering she was awake, plus what would he have used to lock them inside, that was definitely a supernatural aspect of the show or wtv is out in the woods with them, however i think the girls will think its him, considering nat knows where the tree is, they’ll prolly hunt him down as theyre last winter kill before spring until they have to start hunting again, or maybe he even gets to kill one of the girls in self defense, but either way him going from not eating jackie/javi/almost killing himself/overall a scared person to just trying to kill all the girls and travis is way to short of a timeframe for him to randomly drop all his morals, but thats just my take ⁉️ this so crazyy thoo love it
@@madisonarias7234exactly. Matches are one of the first things you grab in his situation. I read it as writers telling us it's a 50/50 chance that it could have been him.
I believe that they are each reliving exactly what happened to them. Natalie was chosen to die but Javi instead. Misty accidentally killed Crystal, and accidentally killed Natalie. Shauna's kid coming in to save her- if she wasn't pregnant and lost her baby in the woods I'm sure people would have gone after her for being crazy. ALSO how Jackie and the Mouse both appeared to be alive... I do wonder if Javi was actually there, back and alive, or just in their heads.
I wonder if Shauna will take over the compound. Natalie became the antler queen when she drew the queen and the wilderness chose someone else. This time Shauna drew it and the wilderness chose Natalie. To me Shauna is the most unpredictable character and she seems to want to escape her current life.
To say that things escalated quickly is a huge understatement. I didn't expect Adult Natalie to die, though I wonder if Juliette Lewis will continue to stick around in flashbacks or dream sequences. Sophie Thatcher is presumably staying as Teen Nat, though we'll just have to wait and watch the twists and turns.
If it's true that Lewis didn't want to do the show anymore, then we won't see her again, unless there's a deleted scene or just a brief glimpse of her in a dream or something.
I can't imagine season 3 not including finding the cave which will become their new shelter and the murder of Coach Ben (making him their first intentional, "successful" kill). I also think it'll be mainly focused on the Spring/Summer times out there & more of a shift from hunting animals to hunting people.
I would love to see one legged dude be shown super old with a bunch of newspaper clippings around about the girls rescued to find out when they were rescued he was left there and now he is out for revenge. The people that were bad and murdered were saved while the good person was left there. You can go a lot of ways with the story after that.
Yeah, I feel like crazy Tai burned the cabin down to reveal another cave entrance, the symbols seem to mark them and theres 1 in the cabin..and she seems to be able to sniff them out..I dont know if I can last a whole 5 seasons tho..
I feel the same way. this show is like 90% filler and as much as I love the idea and characters etc I'm not going to watch like this for 3 more seasons... I'll just binge them all in 10 years when the series finale finally airs 😂
It would be an interesting “twist” if it turned out that the pit girl scene happens in the present day but it would be a hard sell: the end of that episode showed teen Misty revealing her face from beneath the bearskin mask, so pretty solidly in that timeline unless they pull some shenanigans which probably wouldn’t come across very well
Yeah, but knowing how this show loves to pull fakeouts it wouldn't surprise me if this happened. So many of the episode previews for season 2 turned out to be hallucinations or dreams.
THat's true. It could be that they eventually go on the run (since in the present day they seem to commit a ton of crimes) and end up back into the wilderness where they have to do this all over again.
I want more of Lottie backstory and experience in the mental hospital and with the demonic forces. Single most interesting scene for me was Lottie walking over to her roommate in the psych ward and saying "they" could help her.
Those two scenes could be from two different timelines. And notice that the girl they hang upside down doesn’t have stab wounds from all the spikes in the pit. Everything in this show makes you question everything
@@joannecicchetti2173 they also show misty taking off her mask with 5 or 6 people, then there’s the next scene with lots of people and antler queen in middle
@@kaysiea4257 I know but there’s no guarantee that the scene where they’re all in a circle with the antler queen when Misty takes her mask off is the same scene as when they hang someone upside down. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s two different timelines but in the pilot episode they make it look like it’s the same
not saying that Tai isnt a suspect in the fire, but the front was jammed from the outside, so idk how Tai would've gotten back inside the cabin if she did do it.
The strange thing in this last episode of season 2 for me was past Lottie vs present Lottie cause it seemed like past Lottie wasn’t happy about what the group decided to do and seemed sad that Javi died and reluctant to eat him and even stepped down as leader and wanted Natalie to be instead. Definitely seemed like Misty expected to be picked but didn’t have a grudge like Shauna perhaps. But present Lottie seemed super eager to do the ritual that her past self didn’t seem to approve of in the beginning 🤔🤷🏻♀️
Wouldn't it be a wild twist if adult Lottie isn't actually Lottie? What if it's really Mari pretending to be lottie and the real one is still locked away in the institution. Of then there's the question of who is pit girl but what if they scene we saw was all hallucination or it was really lottie in the pit since she's basically given up the title as leader? This show has already shown anything can really happen
I've been thinking that this is the type of series that we have some kind of storyteller in. In the pilot we saw few quotes from Shauna's diary and the story is pretty much (even though there are other main characters) focusing on her and she went through a lot so the things we are seeing from the story on the island might not be totally true because if you think about it we only follow the stories of psychologically unstable people-Tai with her sleepwalking problems and stress, Nat with her harsh past with her father and life, Shauna after losing her baby and Jackie and Misty which needed attention and maybe only saw the moments in which somebody needed her. What if eventually we find out that we are seeing the events through their eyes and the reality was different especially as the hunger advances and changes their behavior. I think psychologically related hunger+trauma would change a person's perception of reality and they would eventually become like Ben's visions in season 2. That is highly unlikely to happen though I think it can be used to explain if some people are actually alive and didn't die back there and how many things were in fact different. This would be a good idea to make the plot more interesting in my opinion!
Don’t forget that in the opening episode we saw that Lottie had schizophrenia. I saw she was taking a medication specifically for schizophrenia. Yes I paused! so I think we have to assume that while she was in the wilderness she was experiencing auditory visual hallucinations from going cold turkey off her meds
@@camogrrl we might get a plottwist surrounding Travis' death and also this would explain why Lottie got bad so quickly. She might have started hallucinating after a while without taking the pills and in fact she might not have been obsessed at all but rather haunted by her own thoughts and imagination. This could have reflected on the others as well after the food deprivation which affects the thought process in general
I loved season one but after waiting more than a year for season 2, I was expecting a little more like a full 10 episodes. Although I feel a bit jipped and I'm not happy about them killing off Nat, I still love the show and I look forward to season 3, hopefully it will be out before 2025.
Maybe the cabin burning down will reveal an underground cave or something The dripping that Mari and recently dark Tai heard could be a clue I've been thinking about this for a while Any thoughts?
That's an interesting though! I never thought of that, but could be a possibility - although she did see things on the wall, which does make the reality of something being below a little less likely!
But it is strange that only Mari hears the dripping (and Tai in the end). But she also sees blood seeping from the cabin wall. So she is probably hallucinating.
@@Daniel-lq5qq it’s true, I watched a cast interview and she goes off about how her character sucks and devolves from teen nat, which I agree with her on that. The writers made adult nat so pathetic and teen nat was badass
Season 2 wasn’t up to standard imo. It’s not that I’d didn’t enjoy it, but it did fall a little flat. The cabin burning down was a big surprise, however.
i think the next season will be mostly based in summer and spring just like the first one was summer before the second was winter. that probably means that if the pit girl scene is from a flashback, it’ll only be in season 4 that we find out anything else about that because it’s clearly in winter again.
@@adriangoodman8901 I can’t disagree really. The story was top tier, the writing, the acting, the editing, the music. I give it 5 gold stars. Can’t wait to see the next 3 seasons.
I think they just leave a lot of things up for speculation and with Coach been grabbing the matches and the axe it makes you really think that it was him but there's a possibility that it may not have been even though I honestly think that is a good possibility that it was I think they're going to hunt down coach Ben and he's going to be the next one that they're going to eat!!! But on the other hand if it was coach Ben how did he get away so fast he's on crutches he got one leg?
Took a bit for the girls to wake up, by that time cabin was nearly inescapable, minus Tai’s beautiful strength 😅… think he had enough time to book it. I do think it was him, but also why would he risk killing Natalie. So who knows.
because Ben saw everyone bowing down to Natalie... seeing her smile at being their new "queen" made burning the cabin down all the more the "right thing" to do in Ben's mind. I think it was 100% Ben.
@@marcelinomorin1382 Ben believed in Natalie. He called her 'a good person' and asked her to come with him to the cave. When he watched through the window and saw Natalie 'going to the Dark Side' he knew all was lost and decided to kill them all, then and there. You can hardly blame him: Ben on his one leg is an easy prey and he will probably be the next victim once they find out where his cave is.
Idk who Javi's friend is, but I dont think its Tai bc Javi doesnt know that Tai has 2 sides to her. He might have been hallucinating an imaginary friend. I do believe Krystal is/was real bc the other girls went to look for her. I believe pit girl is Callie or maybe it will be Lisa bc Misty might blame her for Nat's death instead bc it's too much for herself to deal with... We r gonna have a long time to wait for answers though.
Pit girl scene can't be in the present, they literally showed teen Misty in that scene. And I have a feeling ghost Jackie will still make some appearances. But whatever happens I'm really excited for season 3!
Whether or not Ben lit the cabin on fire, I have a feeling they're going to blame it on him and kill/eat him for it. Everyone in the pit girl flashbacks was standing on both legs, so we're sure Ben isn't there. He most definitely does not make it.
I’m wondering if the tree cave is actually the only spot that the wilderness cannot reach. When Javi was trying to take Nat, the wilderness stopped him bc it had other plans for her. I believe their adult selves will need to go into that tree cave to break the cycle somehow
Didn’t Lottie think that the baby from the teen timeline was a girl? Maybe she was thinking that the baby that the wilderness wanted is actually Callie and not the little baby boy that died.
@@kristiangalloway1565 oh I mean I thought that Lottie saying "the baby is gonna change everything" would mean something good will happen like more food or something..cause obviously if the baby dies...morale would really be low and things would get worse.

Why does Natalie pulling the card in the past lead to a hunt that ACTUALLY leads her to be queen, but present they maintain this but still make Shauna the hunted? Seems the card is the leader. Or maybe Shauna should have been the leader in the past and Lottie was wrong and whatever is going on was like "fine, this is how you read my messages, wait, why are you chasing her... dammit!"
wait I just thought about something… why is shauna the only one with a kid? Could the other women not give birth or something .. even in the present timeline Tai’s kid is from her relationship
floppy, rushed, full with production and continuity mistakes...hope the showrunners get their sht together for S3 but the damage is already done...just look at the final scene, witht the group watching the cabin burning down... not even all the girls showed in the past time were there, not even the new ones, like Gen...they can't keep doing this like that in a top show
@@hayes99 watch the beginning of this video again: Gen aka Pink Jacket, Akila and the new three girls they introduce in the selection round last ep, weren't in the burning cabin scene...
I think that they are gonna kill Ben as justice for hiding in the cave away from them or think he started the fire. He is missing a leg too I think the girls will come to the conclusion they want to eat him as he is the biggest and is a liability. They prob will also feel hurt by him that he seems to be the only one as well as Nat that still thinks what the girls are doing is wrong.
It seems like after season 1, the writers have just lost focus and are now just writing whatever they can think of. Season 2 just sort of trudges along with really no explanation. Not even the music or Lauren Ambrose can save it, and now another season? I'm ready for the conclusion.

i dont think coach ben did it tho, hear me out, he only took the matches to start fires for himself (since he couldnt as we saw in that one scene) and it would be really hard for him to do so bc he has one leg and its still winter, when mari accuses him of stealing the bear meat, he says “ive got one leg, not exactly nimble in the show,” theres no way he could lock them inside without making noise and shauna hearing him considering she was awake, plus what would he have used to lock them inside, that was definitely a supernatural aspect of the show or wtv is out in the woods with them, however i think the girls will think its him, considering nat knows where the tree is, they’ll prolly hunt him down as theyre last winter kill before spring until they have to start hunting again, or maybe he even gets to kill one of the girls in self defense, but either way him going from not eating jackie/javi/almost killing himself/overall a scared person to just trying to kill all the girls and travis is way to short of a timeframe for him to randomly drop all his morals, but thats just my take ⁉️ this so crazyy thoo love it
@@madisonarias7234exactly.
I like this theory
I can't believe they're making us wait till next year for season 3. I just binge watched every episode and I'm addicted!
Yeah that would be very interesting!
I think the pit girl is from the past because teen Misty took off her mask during the ritual.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s two different timelines but in the pilot episode they make it look like it’s the same
nah the outfit of the girl that took pit gril matched the outfit at the campfire
not saying that Tai isnt a suspect in the fire, but the front was jammed from the outside, so idk how Tai would've gotten back inside the cabin if she did do it.
They might struggle to do flashbacks by season 4 and 5. It's just going to get pretty jarring watching 33 year olds play high schoolers.
Loool - I didn't think about that!
😂
That is certainly a problem with this annoying "let's make a 2 season show into 5 seasons over the course of 10 years" cash grabby bullshit.
Travis is already 31 lmao, he's almost as old as the one who plays coach Ben
They cast 2 Maori women for Lottie and Mari isn't
I hope so!
Maybe the cabin burning down will reveal an underground cave or something
The dripping that Mari and recently dark Tai heard could be a clue
I've been thinking about this for a while
Any thoughts?
That's an interesting though! I never thought of that, but could be a possibility - although she did see things on the wall, which does make the reality of something being below a little less likely!
Yes, I was expecting to see past bones on meat hooks or something behind the wall exposed by the fire.
I think they will have to live in the cave or live in the plane.
But it is strange that only Mari hears the dripping (and Tai in the end). But she also sees blood seeping from the cabin wall. So she is probably hallucinating.
Finale was alright i Bet because Lewis wanted Out they need to Change the Storyline a Bit and WE saw that. Thats what i Heard
Yeah I have a feeling Juliette Lewis wasn’t thrilled and wanted off for some reason
@@joannecicchetti2173 i Heard she did Not like how her character was Portrait. Dont know If IT IS true.
@@Daniel-lq5qq it’s true, I watched a cast interview and she goes off about how her character sucks and devolves from teen nat, which I agree with her on that. The writers made adult nat so pathetic and teen nat was badass
@@jukie16 it makes Sense since she let jarvi die and what Not the past often fs Up the adulthood. But she should have read her book before than .
@@jukie16 so true adult Nat is so different? idk i don’t even see adult and teen Nat as the same character tbh
Can someone explain what Shauna meant when she told Lottie, "None of that happened" but yet the flashback continued with their cannibalism ritual?
Season 2 wasn’t up to standard imo. It’s not that I’d didn’t enjoy it, but it did fall a little flat. The cabin burning down was a big surprise, however.
i think the next season will be mostly based in summer and spring just like the first one was summer before the second was winter. that probably means that if the pit girl scene is from a flashback, it’ll only be in season 4 that we find out anything else about that because it’s clearly in winter again.
Walter is my new favourite character on television. I like him more than Julia Garner in Ozark.
Woooow. That's a hard bar to beat. I don't think we've had enough screen time from him yet to make such bold claims. 😂
Wow, that's a bold statement!
YELLOWJACKETS !! Was great I love Nats character
What is on Misty’s hands when she embraces Walter at the end of the season finale ? Burns ? A rash? Blood? The camera zooms in for several seconds
Also I just got bored and flipped the symbol upside down and it seems pretty clear it’s a person hanging from a stick like when they brought back javi
I think it's dried blood from tending Lottie's gunshot wound, but they zoom in on it to emphasize how she has blood on her hands.
I can’t wait to start this series after listening to this channel
Woop! Definitely worth the watch
I loved it, such an underrated show.
Agree! I think it's a pretty good show!
@@BrainPilot dude it’s the best show on tv right now…
@@adriangoodman8901 I can’t disagree really. The story was top tier, the writing, the acting, the editing, the music. I give it 5 gold stars. Can’t wait to see the next 3 seasons.
I don't know what's going on with Van. I need more on her next season.
Yeah, I hope we get that!
I wish they would pay writers what they deserve so we would actually get the next season
I cant wait for season 3!!!
Same it should be good!
We gotta try until the writers. Don't want anyone attempting A.I. writing.
Krystal was definitely real.
The group and Misty didn't find Crystal. It's got me thinking 🤔 😕
I think it's the one controlling everything in the wilderness.
They either build a new house or make treehouses or live in the plane unless there’s another cabin
The plane would be so tight!
@@BrainPilot true just theorizing
I thought this too lol go to the plane cus it’s freezing!!!

The strike is already affecting season 3; we know for sure the strike will affect the future release timeline
I think Natalie will return as a ghostlike entity especially to support Lottie while she’s in hospital.
Do you think?
I’m wondering if the tree cave is actually the only spot that the wilderness cannot reach. When Javi was trying to take Nat, the wilderness stopped him bc it had other plans for her. I believe their adult selves will need to go into that tree cave to break the cycle somehow
Easy--Teen Natalie's hair gets darker. Teen Misty's haiir gets flatter.
BrainPilot..ThanksMuch!...
Didn’t Lottie think that the baby from the teen timeline was a girl? Maybe she was thinking that the baby that the wilderness wanted is actually Callie and not the little baby boy that died.
No I think she said it was going to be a boy
@@doperagu8471 yeah Lottie said it was gonna be a boy and he was gonna change everything but nothing really changed imo.

I feel the "wilderness" set the cabin on fire, just like Laura Lee's stuffed animal, in order for them to completely lose their innocence. They will go after the Coach and most likely slaughter him or eat him alive. it will be brutal for sure though.
Me whos past summer of 2024 with no season 3 👁️👄👁️
They finished filming for season 3 like a week ago! I believe it’ll be out maybe in late winter or spring of 2025
The pit girl being in present day 🤯. That is fucking dark. I feel so stupid when I hear theories like that because I never think that broadly.
Does anyone know if Javis “friend” in the woods told him don’t GO back, or don’t COME back???
No I don't think they said that!
"she told me not to come back" That is literally what Javi told coach Ben.
Pay the writers all the money I need season 3!
I didn't see Akilah looking at the burning house
I didn't either. 😔
imma need them to explain where sum of the girls went cuz ik melissa and gen are in season 1, but theres like 5 girls that disappeared, and im pretty sure someone said that crystal (kristen) was like a recast, but theres a short haired girl/another ginger/three brunettes in the burial scene and im j like wya, v confused abt it, also natalie knows where the tree is already so she just has to take them there
Writers strike is deff showing its affect in season 2. It's a confusing mess.
Btw where is Crystal's body? Misty didn't find it after the snow but it couldn't just disappear. Was Crystal even real?
When a shows plot is Lost and reminds you of the mess that was "Lost".
I think Misty and Walter’s relationship is weirdly cute…? I almost hope they stick together lol
Why does Natalie pulling the card in the past lead to a hunt that ACTUALLY leads her to be queen, but present they maintain this but still make Shauna the hunted? Seems the card is the leader. Or maybe Shauna should have been the leader in the past and Lottie was wrong and whatever is going on was like "fine, this is how you read my messages, wait, why are you chasing her... dammit!"
In past nat drew the queen but when the kid died in the water the girls took it as the forest chose him and nat was spared..
Yes misty stopped Nate from saving him because like misty said that way she wasn’t the one the girls ate.
theres zero chance that pit girl is in the present timeline, we saw young misty remove her mask Infront of the antler queen.
Yeah that's fair enough!
Am I the only one who is pissed we didn’t get pit girl. Wtf
I feel like that might come next season!
