That was JK who said that about Chris Martin closing his eyes, smiling and being so genuine. That's really something.
Chris Martin recently revealed in an interview that it was actually World Wide Handsome Jin (yes, that's really what he calls him 😅) who initiated the collaboration. Jin is a major Coldplay fan. He and Chris really hit it off and Chris even gifted his own guitar to Jin and dedicated it to World Wide Handsome Jin. 😂

Interesting facts: RM & J Hope had attended the Coldplay concert in Seoul 5 years ago. BTS didn't go backstage and never met Coldplay until this collaberation. Also, Coldplay as a band has been together over 25 years, Jungkook wasn't even born yet! Haha!

And Chris had to sit in a small hotel room all alone for 2 weeks in quarantine, only allowed to open the door to pick up his tray when the meals were delivered. It was not easy . Also, there are other interviews Chris did where he says it was Jin who contacted him about doing a song together!

Every episode is a beautiful blend of informative, raw, funny, inspirational, creative, and emotional. It's just very professionally done and beyond impressive, IMO. (And if I'm not mistaken, ARMYs put the series together which is beyond impressive, IMO.)
👀 if you like documentaries, have y’all been told about “The Rise of Bangtan?” It’s a docu-series on YT made by ARMY about BTS. There are a bunch of episodes (chapters), and they’re done chronologically, so it’s really great context for BTS as people, a group, and for their music. Highly recommend.
BTS are reaching heights and spheres unheard of. I shed a couple tears when I first watched this documentary. This was beautiful, esp. when you think about the bigger picture

Chris went to Korea and when BTS went to New York for their speech at the (United Nations General Assembly as the boys are now SK presidential envoys) both bands meet, record some videos, BTS even gifted the Coldplay band a modern hanbook and had dinner.
"Rise of Bangtan" is an ARMY-made docuseries & it's phenomenal. I urge you to watch it whether on your own, patreon or on YT.

Haha, love your reactions. I love your sense of humor! I know you're just joking, but just in case noone has told you: there's an understanding between BTS and ARMY. We don't approach them, hug them or take pictures of or with them in their private zones/on the street. We give them their space and pay respect. That's why RM once wrote that he doesn't mind sharing his favorite place is biking along the Han River, writing in specific parks etc. because he knows ARMY will be respectful. J-hope has a famous saying when people approach and ask for a picture etc. "Sorry sorry. Important business".

Korea really made a special COVID exception for Coldplay. If you travel there and have no family to quarantine immediately with, you must quarantine in a hotel room, alone, for two weeks. Tubers XCeleste and Bris just went through it....2 weeks!! Fortunately they are staying long enough to make it worth their while. By the way, if you haven't seen Bris's channel, he attended a talk show filming where BTS was performing and JungKook recognized him as a BTS reactor and gave the giant 6"4' Bris a big hug!
Know that Chris flew to Korea during CoViD and Korea had mandatory strict 14 day quarantine protocol. This is probably why BTS were so touched as well in addition to the fact that he decides to do this in person rather than remotely

the rise of Bangtan is the best documentary video made by army. There are several series of documentation and continues to grow.if you watch every series I recommend watching bonus content and delete scenes from each series too because there are many valuable scenes in the video. The Rise of Bangtan is the best series that contains BTS' journey .From before they debuted until now
Tae has said over the years how his dream collaboration would be Coldplay so this was huge.
This was filmed last Spring so there were still no venues allowing large groups to gather... hence not being able to perform live at all... not specifically "My Universe"; in fact, Coldplay HAS performed MU live multiple times as of now. :)
It was Jin that made the first contact. “ Yay “ Chris Martin brought Jinn a Martin Guitar specially made for our universe Martin Co. made one for Chris Martin as well.
My Universe was nominated for Best Collaboration for the Mnet Asian Music Awards today.
Its thanks to Jin that this collab happend, dont know the whole story. Chris Martin gave and signed his guitar to Jin
I loved to see these clips from their work together, and of course the concept of thd song, the collaboration, but what never stops to surprise me is the way these young men express themselves. Jimin talking about Chris Martin, V talking about the concept "together not alone", JK's point on how he felt seeing Chris sing.... That's the way they look at the world

A lots of artists said the same as Martin it's when you see bts on TV and when you meet them directly, because many great singers and rappers said that has a carizmatic present but you get a little bit a long with them you'll comfortable like you're at home and you start talking freely like your with your best friends, that's bts just humble and kind when you get close to them but from they a very great aura which make them look carizmatic
i just have to say this, every SINGLE time I look at the guy in the black hoodie he reminds me of a black han from straykids and I just cannot get it out of my mind .
I feel like that they both are destined to have collaboration since BTS cover "Fix you"... The boys really respect Coldplay, not to mention both humble human being, so kind to each other and genuine Artist resulted such a lifetime masterpiece song "my universe" 💜

I read that Jin wrote the request for the collab between Bangtan & Coldplay...when Chris saw that he took some time to write the perfect song to do with the boys. He did is research well and really wanted the boys to rap and dance cause that was their personality and I really appreciate and respect that
Chris Martin has a home in Malibu so I’m willing to bet that he does make an appearance at one of the BTS shows in LA! I hope it’s the last show on 2 Dec!

Yes cold play are English so from England, I loved to go and see BTS in concert but the way things are going in England I don't think they will be over here for a while, and of corse it would be amazing to see them in South Korea.

It is made by ARMY and really delves into all the crap they had to deal with such as racism and plagiarism claims that were completely false and anti fans who bashed them left and right! Well they got the last laugh because they are the biggest artists on the planet and have broken so many Guinness world records! Their rise is legendary! Could you please tell me exactly what Twich app I need to download so I can stream your videos live? I know you guys read the comments on these live streams, but actually wish you wouldn't especially when so much of BTS (and k-pop) content is subtitled...you end up missing important parts especially Alfredo when he was distracted by the comments in this video.
