Elite raids would be great if they made it like a regular raid day, with eggs spawning everywhere for 3 hours. Kyorge and Groudon were the most active I have seen my community since pre covid.
Where I live there is only 1 elite raid nearby and another one 15 miles away. There is about 15 gyms in the town but when they did enamourus only one gym can do elite raids...
That is really unfortunate. Niantic actually touched on this when they Nerf the remote passes…. Their literal words were if you are a rural player, or someone who can’t really take advantage of all of the mechanics & perks of the game….. then the game may not be before you. Percentage of players that fall in that category smaller than the players that don’t… and tending to players that fall in that category go against their main objective. Which is why they never nerd or brought back the remote passes…. From their own mouth, they would rather gain just die down and they stop making money then to make provisions or change up their goal.. This company is very very stubborn & want to do what they want to do while making the most money as possible. I think they did what they did during Covid out of desperation…. There’s so many things they can do that would make the game so much and more enjoyable! Just giving people the ability to trade and communicable for another long distance will be a huge advantage. People that live in rural areas will then have a way to get some of these Pokémon… I would’ve gladly traded with someone like that just so they can get a fair shot at having what someone like me in a Pokémon infested area like New York City has. I’m so sorry.
My entire town has about 4 gyms, and the next town over has about 7. I'd need to drive at least 3 hours one way to get to the nearest good-sized city. Elite raids are practically impossible for rural players. Niantic continues to not care.
You only need 250 coins for 3 passes, you can use two daily passes. That's 5 passes. Shouldn't be too hard to get 250 coins. You can get it in 5 days if you are lucky
It ticks me off to no end that Niantic does this with Elite and Shadow raids. I have ZERO chance of getting any help in my small, hick ass town in order to beat the raid. I'd have to try and solo it! LOL yeah, right. It sucks because I've been waiting for Rayquaza to come back so I can nab it, but then they do this stuff so people like me don't have a chance. I don't think they realize how much this hurt the game. I'm not gonna say they should make everything "easy", but they should make it accessible. Will the raids show up on campfire 24 hours before? I have excellent counters. 3 Mewtwo at LVL 50 with Ice beam. Mega Gardevoir LVL 50, 2 Shadow Mamoswine at level 45. I have three other people who I raid with. They have ok/decent level 40 counters. We're all best friends and do party power. You think that's enough for this elite raid or do we need more?

Both are good but it depends on what you do most in the game. Raid attacking I would suggest Mega Ray and master league pvp would suit Necrozma fusions.
Raid days are good for giving 5 free raid passes but most important, almost if not every gym will have 1 Pokémon. I still don't know why it wasn't the case for M Rayquaza.
Something that would be cool - if the raid is only in elite gyms - we should be able to raid the same gym as many times as we can in the allotted time -
I got 2 100% rayquazas last go fest and mega evolved and dualmoved both of them to keep dragon ascend. What happen if you learn it dragon ascend, mega evolve it and then remove dragon ascend for another move sp it knows 2 dragon moves without teaching it 2 charge moves. Does it loose it's ability to mega evolve or is it only for the first time it mega evolves you need the move?

You may need alot more people. I am level 41. I have been pretty diligent with powering up the right pokemon for the raid boss. I have found that even powering up all the right pokemon to level 40. Only net me 1/4 health of 5 star raid boss. Nomatter its typing or weakness. Even with mewtwo. We needed 10 or more people with right counters. Here in the city. You may have to go to the city. With the numbers you stated. I have mamoswine all at +40 and even than. I can't see myself doing more than 2/5 health damage on Rayquaza. 😅🫣

As a FTP, its kinda of a bummer that I will only be able to about 1-3 if I can get enough pokecoins from gyms.
Save your raid pass from the day before, so you can spin for a free one on raid day
Of course, that's what I've been doing for the last couple of raid days,and is something every FTP player should do.

It is definitely doable, but you will be sacrificing coins that would otherwise go into storage.
I live in a large city and have never once seen people raising in person. I'm almost 100% sure if just doesn't happen since they ruined remote raids

No it’s not guaranteed, you have to keep an eye out on campfire to see if an egg spawns after the 12pm wave is over.

Last year for the go fest mega raids it was around 80 per raid I believe but hopefully it’s more per raid for elite raids
