I'm really into weird jewelry and since nothing is really my preference, I'm gonna make my own! I'm buying a lot that as a lot of the things that I need for the actual pieces, and 120 MINI BABIES TO TURN INTO JEWELRY. Anywho, this video was really helpful so thank you!
I've actually been making jewelry since I was 18 but to be honest I've always stuck with using mostly stretchy cord for bracelets and necklaces when I should've used something else, stuck with the same clasp, not choosing what goes better, etc, its a big mess. I used mostly wires now for necklaces and bracelet and rarely used thread, I've mostly been doing this for fun and I've made tons of stuff. Now I'm 35 and I want to try selling my work but I need to start from scratch, like literally, from scratch, really learn what everything is and experiment
I am currently waiting for my first supply of jewelry making pieces to arrive from Michael's and excitedly watching videos. I loved this one. I will be watching - and saving - all of your tutorial videos. :)
Thanks for these tutorials - it helps a beginner demystify the terminology and explains the basics. Looking forward to your other tutorials to start with basic jewellery.

Hi Jocelyn! I'm new to jewelry making and just started buying supplies, I'm going to have to purchase a few things at a time each pay day and was wondering if you have a printable beginner supply list of tools and basic supplies.
I'm just starting out, and I need a little help... what should you do if you can't get chains, but have wire? Will that effect it? I'm trying to make a wedding gift for my soon- to- be stepmom!
Hi Alorah! It depends what you're trying to make; if you don't have chains, your best bet might be earrings or rings, as they don't usually require chains. You can see my full playlist of earring tutorials here: ruclips.net/video/LuHMJwtyKtI/видео.html and rings here: ruclips.net/video/vvsuQjQJIV8/видео.html
thank you! this video was so helpful! my mimi made jewelry and gave me her HUGE collection, but I honestly didn't really know what to do with it, or projects I can do.
Try your local craft stores or Walmart. I purchased this one so many years ago I doubt it's still available, but those places always have something very similar :)
There's one finding I have that looks like a screw at the bottom and a hook at the top. I'm trying to find a video that shows what part of the jewelry it's used for
Great video! I'm a beginner and have learned the terms and uses of several of the essentials. Thank you! Here is my first piece on Etsy! www.etsy.com/shop/LovelyDeity?ref=search_shop_redirect
Haha, yep! Though at this point it was more like nurse hands. Hard to keep pretty fingers when you're washing your hands constantly AND working with pliers and wire.
$30 for some acorn earings?!?! You must be off your head! And so is anybody willing to pay that much! I dont care if it took you a long time buck up your ideas or your business is going to fail
This gives me a great place to start. Thanks for the video.
Mee too... I loved making jewelry
You make absolutely LOVELY jewelry. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
