I've never really liked this game, it could be fun if it actually had a nick of sense put into it. The entire game is just illogical and things that could easily be avoided. As Cry said, she's a grown woman and they're just kids, she could EASILY stand up to them or kick their asses. Literally, there is seriously nothing holding her back from doing that.

You know, I'm gonna be honest. I've watched this ENTIRE playlist like 5 times in the last couple month. No, I do not have a social life. But I STILL don't know just what in the Nine Hells is going on through out any of it.
Not sure if you still know, but all this that's happening is basically a huge mashup of Jennifer's memories. :) That's why a lot of it doesn't make sense, because it's like a huge puzzle where you fill the bits in piece by piece. She seems like an adult who could just take the kids on through the game, but she was just a kid when the events actually happened. There is a lot of symbolism (the little disfigured imp things are her guilt on her actions) and there is a lot of backstory in certain characters (like the mermaid boss). In summary, all this is a dream (literally, since she was napping on a bench). A dream involving her past, her actions and people she knew. But it's all jumbled and distorted and she's forgotten some things. The storybooks she gets every so often are cryptic tales of events that happened in her past.
Well, I got that it was a giant flashback into her memories. I was just never ANY good at symbolism or puzzles. I love the visuals for the most part though, they still always just confused me in the context of what was going on @_@ And that mermaid......... *shudder*
Yeah, the mermaid was definitely the most freaky and WTF I think. It's been a bit since I've watched through again, but I'll have to remember all this for when I do watch again. Cause I know I will :/ As for watching a "no commentary" play through of Rule of Roses... not sure I could. Even I get along the same line of thinking as Cry when he pulls out the booze for the last couple episodes. And the getting lost is all part of the charm of watching Cry! I like to think the same about my LPs but... you know... I'm much lamer :3

And sometimes watching youtubers fumble about for 10 or 20 minutes over something really, really gets on my nerves (and I wish they'd edit out the bulk). But that's just my personal thing!
