Maybe one of my favorite of any Mega Man game. And of course, first place could'nt belong to anyone else. THE boss of the Zero serie.
Personally I consider leviathan the best fight in the original megaman Zero. Definitely helps that unlike 90% of the boss roster she isn’t completely torn apart just because you have her weakness
As I watch this and appreciate the hard work and interesting opinions, I can't help but think a single question... When are you going to make a countdown for the Gunvolt series?
@@YandMProductions if you heard of Sequelitis or Game Grumps, you'll find out that Egoraptor himself also voiced one of Luminous Avenger iX 2's bosses in the English version
After waiting for so long to complete the Zero series with my brother before watching this video, and the worst Zero bosses list, I finally watched these videos to see what was in store for me all this time. And, the wait was so worth it. So, that being said, here are my thoughts on this list. 10. Mega Scorpia- I'm gonna be honest here, I wasn't expecting you to include bosses that weren't mutos reploids, let alone what i knew was going to be number one, but considering the title is "Top 10 Zero Bosses", I really should not have expected anything less. But, I do like this boss a bit. I'll admit it's my favorite of the first bosses in the series, along with Omega. Plus, the remix of Crash, MMZ1's boss theme, made the experience better. 9. Anubis Necromancess- one of my favorite mutos reploids from MMZ1. He really has a cool design, even though I'm not a fan of ancient Egyptian stuff, his stage music is good, almost fitting the desert theme, and the fight isn't too bad. And, his fight in Zero 3 is alright. Aside from shifting the battlefield, nothing much to write home about. But, I still wonder why he's called a "necromancess" when he's a he. Was Capcom on something for this typo? 8. Anchus brothers- I definitely was surprised to find both of the Anchus brothers in Zero 2's rematch stage. But, I do like this fight. Their designs were already good on their own, but seeing both in the same room is double cool. And the fact that they fight you in a way that isn't too bad makes this 2 on 1 match not as cheap at first glance. Definitely a memorable moment in Zero 2. 7. Fighting Fefnir- I'll admit that his fights are engaging and keeps you on your toes, but not one of my favorite fights overall. Adding to that is Fefnir is my least favorite of the Four Guardians. I mean, I like his perseverance throughout the series, and I like his similarities to Bass, and Magma Man, but I just like the other 3 Guardians more. 6. Fenri Lunaedge- my second favorite of the Eight Einherjar Warriors. I love his design being similar to Blizzard Wolfang, and his element being ice made it better for me (I like the ice element in video games). His fight isn't too bad either. He's speedy but not Quick Man fast. He's just a really cool boss all around. Pun intended. 5. Sage Harpuia (Armed Phenomenon form)- Gotta say, the AP form looks cool, but I'm not a fan of it. He definitely puts up a fight, but it's just not one of my favorites. But, I will not ignore the story points before and after the fight, as it makes the situation much more intense. 4. Copy X mk II- I do like this fight, but it's just the first phase of the final boss against Copy X from Zero 1, with the reflecting lasers if fought on A rank or higher. I guess I didn't know what to expect going into it, but I thought he would fight differently. But, to be fair, I loved the idea of Copy X using the elemental chips like you, and therefore follows the same weaknesses as the other elemental bosses. And the fact that mk II's fight is similar to Zero 1's final boss's first phase made this fight go by a bit easier, as I knew what to do, I just to get through it. Although, QG, you forgot to mention that when he is on his last health bar, there's a chance he'll heal himself by one health bar, which was his EX-skill in Zero 1 if fought on A rank or higher. I say "chance" because first time fighting him, sometimes he healed himself, and on my successful attempt, I defeated him before he could heal up. 3. Hidden Phantom- I was hoping he would be on the "worst bosses" list, but that wouldn't be fair of me because me saying that is from my experience of playing the games first time. Phantom was really tough for me, so much so that we decided to skip his mission for the time being, thinking we would come back later. But, oh man was that a mistake. For anyone who doesn't know, if you exit a mission with the Escape Module, the mission is considered a failure, and you can't go back into it unless you play the game again. So, when I fought Phantom in the rematch, it took me forever to beat him. I lost track of how long after what felt like an hour. And, when I finally beat him, only to find he has a kamikaze attack before dying, I screamed into a pillow. Because, why would a ninja character have a move like that? For those who like ninjas, is that a ninja thing to do? The way I see it, it's out of character for a ninja to do that. So, that just made things even worse, and it took even longer for me to be able to beat him and dodge his kamikaze attack. But now, I like his fight. I can even fight him no damage, no problem. And Phantom is now my third favorite of the Guardians. And his appearance in Zero 3 was definitely a surprise, to say the least. 2. Dr. Weil- definitely one of my favorite final bosses in video games, next to Omega in Zero 3. And, he's definitely a satisfying boss to take down. Considering all the s*yay*t he did to achieve his goals, the fight against him shouldn't be a disappointment. He has a fair amount of attacks, and I even like how he brings back the Eight Gentle Judges from Zero 3. The only thing I don't like about him is the second phase where you're on a timer to kill him before Ragnarok crashes down and kills everyone. I feel you should have a bit more time than 2 minutes, but maybe I just need to git gud. Also, I did not know that you could grab his top horn during his laser attack. Honorable Mentions: Hyleg Ourobockle- one of my favorite mutos reploids from Zero 2. Deathtanz Mantisk- my second favorite of the Eight Gentle Judges. Also, he looks like a giant Slicer from Sonic 2. Fairy Leviathan- my favorite of the Four Guardians. Similar to Splash Woman from MM9, who is my favorite robot master in MM9 and in the Classic series. Hanumachine- eh, he's alright, but not one of my favorite mutos reploids overall. Tech Kraken- my favorite of the Eight Einherjar Warriors. I like how he's similar to Volt Kraken/Squid Adler from MMX5. 1. Omega- yep. Saw this coming a mile away. Especially since I saw your Top 10 Favorite Final Bosses list. A great final boss gameplay and story-wise. I don't have much to say here. However, because I knew how this fight ended due to watching the "favorite final bosses" video, I let my brother deal the finishing blow to Omega. And, he loved it. To clarify, I saw the "final bosses" video during the time in my life when I was not interested in Mega Man in the slightest. So, when I finally got into the series, I already knew about the game's conclusion. A very enjoyable video. And, I can't wait to leave my thoughts on the "Worst Zero Bosses" list.
Some of Copy X's attacks in his first form also references the first MegaMan X game (which just turned 30 years old a couple days ago) in various ways such as the Shotgun Ice and the Storm Tornado
If there does end up being one there should be a 4 way biometal option between model omega x z and a and a fusion between model omega and z making tz aka true zero as the player would control a equally powerful counterpart to the final boss and a zero that is at his ultimate peak and one hit kills all non bosses. The other would only be allowed to be used during the final boss unless you compleat it
Model W is unique, while the other biometals carry the soul of heroes past (Model A potentially does as well depending on the route of the X series) Model W does not seem to have a will of its own, only a radiating malice that corrupts those who dare come close to it, however there is a possibility that it holds a shadow of the man who influenced the people close to Model W however the next Villain goes about to achieving their goals may determine if that shadow persists if it even survived its previous battle
In the complete works of Zero, Copy X viewed innocent reploids as Mavericks, meaning the original X still has a grudge against the robot wars from the X series, and that personality still continues in Copy X
Come to think of it, _all_ the Guardians are full-on yandere for Zero by the end- there’s a reason I ship Zero with absolutely everyone. XD Also: Har-PYU-ya. I know, his name is clunkily spelled, but it’s derived from “harpy”.
Hmm. I think your checklist at the beginning is missing a series. I don’t want to Force you to cover it, but if you do, I hope it’ll receive a gold Star.
I had three out of the four of these games in high school. I love playing the mega Man zero series even though they were pretty damn hard. Might do a let's play of the mega Man. Zero ZX legacy collection games in the near future
Lucky for me I got the Zero series collection for the DS. I wish the Zero series will be remastered (like Maverick Hunter X which is my very first Megaman game I played and a remake more better than the original for the PSP) coming to the Switch / PS5. The Anchus Brothers are my favorite bosses. When I first time played the series, Omega Zero took me more attempts than Dr. Weil's final boss form. And I wonder what happened to the 3 guardians of X before and during the events of Zero 4.
2 months late response, but according to the MMZ drama CD/tracks... the 3 remaining guardians ended up dying in the explosion following Omega's demise and their 'souls' ended up in Cyberspace, like Phantom did.
I think I just realized where I first heard linkara was from this video from the bit before revealing number 9 so I kinda feel stupid since I never put 2 and 2 together
My top 10 in no particular order: Hellbat Schilt Commander Kraft Childre Inarabbita Anubis Necromancess (Z3) Copy X mk. II Heat Genblem Kyuubit Foxtar Fairy Leviathan Dethtanz Mantisk Hell the Giant
Okay, time for my two cents on the matter 10. Mega Scorpia? Considering the most despised game in the franchise (X7) had a giant scorpion boss I thought Mega Scorpia would not be on the list due to past trauma people had with X7. Still a good boss. What X7 did first, Zero 2 did right. 9. You'd figure in the boss rush of the original Zero he'd be called Anubis Necromancess IV. And if that were the case, what happened to I and II? 8. Take Notes Gemini Man, THIS is how you do a tag-team battle. A great fight and a great brotherly reunion. 7. Fafnir vs. Grenade Man. One Night Only. Would it be as epic as Kenpachi Zaracchi vs. Nnoitra Gilga? We'll see. 6. Fenri Lunaedge... Number 50 on my Mavericks list. Me? I prefer Sol Titania. 5. A leader must take responsibility for his troops. And Harpuia is a good character. He could have left Zero to die in the beginning of Zero 2, but did not. 4. Poor Copy X Mk 2, he had no idea he was being used like a bad hankie. 3. This guy could give both versions of Shadow Man a run for their money. 2. It is time Weil pay for what he had done. Oh if only Astro Man were alive. He would have teleported the citizens from their homes before the missile hit. Honorable mentions: Hyleg Orubockle: This guy could be more intimidating that both versions of Snake Man. Deathtanz Mantisk: More brutal than Dark Mantis, and no I made my quota for Bleach References. Leviathan: Had to put the fourth guardian somewhere. Fun fact, she's a playable character in Rockman X Dive, Good luck getting her though. Hanumachine: A Roboticized Infernape serving Phantom and Weil. Though in the latter instance he has no desire to avenge his former master. Tech Kraken: This guy does. 1. Number 1 on you final bosses list, number 1 here. No surprise. So, which ones would he like the least?
Anyone that played the Zonda fight in Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 can easily see the similarities with that boss and the Anchus Brothers. How both these bosses centers around knowing to evade and counter one of there attacks. No wonder when I play the Gunvolt games, I get insane amount of MMZ vibes.
I have played the Zero Legacy through another Collection, on the DS, and let me tell you, your countdown is absolutely the same as I thought what were my favorite battles. For the numbers 2 and 1, you could easily talked about how incredible the voice acting for both Weil and Omega Zero were. Are you thinking tackling the other series? If you are, maybe I can help you for one of them; in this case, the Starforce series.
The Zero Collection on DS is how I first experienced the Zero series as well, and it still holds value since I only own the Zero/ZX Legacy Collection digitally.

*Pantheon Core* : Insta-kill spikes + time limit. I think it's possible to get caught between two risen floor platforms, and be trapped as the middle one goes to the spikes, but I might be wrong on that, and admittedly, the boss does seem to take a lot more damage from the weakness, making it's health feel like less than 3 bars.

Phantom is always a boss fight i enjoy. Maybe one of my favorite of any Mega Man game.
And of course, first place could'nt belong to anyone else. THE boss of the Zero serie.
Excellent use of the Star Wars Parallels here.

Yep. I mean it’s his favorite final boss.

I’ll admit it, the Terumi yell got me. That shit was funny.
i love it when you talk about megaman
Personally I consider leviathan the best fight in the original megaman Zero. Definitely helps that unlike 90% of the boss roster she isn’t completely torn apart just because you have her weakness
I'm planning on possibly buying the Zero/Zx collection , cause it seems pretty fun.
@Nathaniel Foga I got it without knowing that those games were the hardest. and I’m all like now you tell me?
It's worth it especially if you love 2d platforms and megaman in general
I like it and I'm a newbie playing on the easy mode

As I watch this and appreciate the hard work and interesting opinions, I can't help but think a single question...
When are you going to make a countdown for the Gunvolt series?
“Oversurge...
ARMED BLUE!”
Speaking of Gunvolt, not only is there a 3rd main series game coming out but they're also making a sequel to Luminous Avenger iX
@@arthursnyder6424 Well aware and excited. I would say impatiently waiting if this year didn’t have so many games coming out that I need to get
Once 3 comes out I guess
Cubit Foxtar is literally a Touhou boss suited for Megaman
They're Ran Yakumo's sibling!
5:50 only question is, can they clock up?
Yeah Weil may be similar to emperor Palpatine but we don't want a rise of skywalker of weil being deformed,op, etc as zx3s plot. Hell no.
Model W is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be...UNNATURAL.
10:28 you will never be rid of him, will you?
In the complete works of Zero, Copy X viewed innocent reploids as Mavericks, meaning the original X still has a grudge against the robot wars from the X series, and that personality still continues in Copy X
So THATS how you say some of the bosses names.
Come to think of it, _all_ the Guardians are full-on yandere for Zero by the end- there’s a reason I ship Zero with absolutely everyone. XD
Also: Har-PYU-ya. I know, his name is clunkily spelled, but it’s derived from “harpy”.
Ciel Pie: HE'S MINE! YOU CAN'T HAVE HIM!
hey, QG, do you think you could do top 10 Starforce bosses since you've done Classic, X and Zero series bosses?
5:47 I would've called them the robotic counterparts to the Gouraiger brothers.
5:47 ah cool. A Kamen Rider Kabuto reference. A rare sight nowadays.
I’m surprised Mino Magnus and Elpizo didn’t make the list. Those are some of my favorite fights
My top 10 in no particular order:
Hellbat Schilt
Commander Kraft
Childre Inarabbita
Anubis Necromancess (Z3)
Copy X mk. II
Heat Genblem
Kyuubit Foxtar
Fairy Leviathan
Dethtanz Mantisk
Hell the Giant
12:24
13:02 perfect description of Copy X.
14:44
15:12
20:03
23:05
plus beating Omega zero in ZX and completing the game gives you access to Model O you can kind of guess what that is.
That would have to be done on Normal or Hard, not Easy
Okay, time for my two cents on the matter
Honorable mentions:
Hyleg Orubockle: This guy could be more intimidating that both versions of Snake Man.

We've got the robot Kabuto and Gatack. NOW GIVE ME MY THEBEE, DRAKE, SASWORD, AND HOPPER BROS.!!!

I know this is late, but I love these puns.
I love the Kamen Rider Kabuto reference
