What a beautifully maintained historic village. Ross is so tidy and clean. Whenever my husband and I travel along the Midlands Highway when in Tassie on holidays A STOP OVER IN ROSS IS ALWAYS A MUST. Well done.

My fifth great grandad served with the 40th stationed at Ross Barracks and stayed behind when his regiment returned to England. I hope to visit this beautiful place when things return to some kind of new normal. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful video so well filmed, what a beautiful and historic town, Thanks for sharing. We have been to Burnie on a cruise ship and toured that area of the northern coast. Thanks for showing us this.

Thanks for adding this video sadly I am watching it to see what it looks like because a family member of mine spent time here after he was transported for 14 years

Thanks for the comment, it's a wild and beautiful place but would imagine very cold and bleak in Winter. Tasmania has one of the longest histories of settlement and has established a great reputation of having some fantastic unspoilt scenery.

Ross looks very English doesn't it? Very scenic though and what history it must have dating back to the convict days. You two must put some miles behind you doing the work you do as well as travelling!

    Ross wasn't settled until 1821.
New Norfolk was established in 1807, and its layout is more traditionally English.
