Just want to say that I greatly enjoy the thoughtfulness and thoroughness you put into each one of your videos. As a med student, I don't take the time to watch all the drama, trending medical videos, or career how-to's. But I'll watch your videos. You deserve a higher viewership and I'll look forward to your channel becoming more popular in the future. I have made sure to share videos like this with my classmates-- and they had great reception.

Thank you for your kind words. And yeah, I’m not interested in making superficial, clickbait-y stuff… I’m slowly trying to build up some video content to complement what I write about and talk about elsewhere, and I want it to be authentic. Plus, the whole reason I do any of this is to try to make people think - so I’d rather have 1 view from someone interested in seriously thinking about these things than hundreds from people who aren’t. Thanks also for sharing things that resonate with you - I really do appreciate it!

Thank you for brining up this. In my (uneducated) opinion, this has been the tip of an iceberg for bigger picture at the societal level and underlying brewing and discontent in some parts of the world, for some populations notably the US. The lobbying camp against “affirmative actions” consists of many factions that make up the coalition, the anti-woke, anti-immigrant, the “tiger mom” parents and elites, and a lot of normies like me who are very “fuck-with-able” easily influenced by buzz words and headlines that help them project their frustration and anger regardless of their level of education or where they sit on the “bell curve”. This is just one tiny of the many more “fault-lines” in our societ(y/ies).
I am not very well read or educated, but I would like to have an audience with you if possible to talk about many of the topics you brought up in your videos. Also, some ERAS and rank mentorship would be much appreciated as well.

There's no reason to blindly conclude that all population groups are blessed with the same genetic endowment. It's important that we don't ignore the biological genetic differences between various population groups. Failure to properly identify the genetic origin of population level differences between groups could cause folks to infer that systematic racism is a greater cause of racial disparities than is really the case. For example, African American students study half as much as European American students, who in turn, study half as much as Asian American students. African American women are more likely to drive a luxury car than European American women. These groups have different locations on The r/K spectrum as well. Even as different dog breeds have different temperaments, different human population groups should be expected to do so as well (perhaps not as pronounced).
    Here's a quote about temperament
"Temperament refers to an individual's characteristic or habitual modes of behavioral and emotional responding that are present at an early age and often believed to have some basis in biological processes partly determined by heredity. It is typically discernible at birth. That infants differ systematically is shown by research observations starting in the first few days or weeks of life and extending, in some cases, for over a decade. In their book,Temperament and Behavior Disorders in Children, Thomas, Chess, and Birch (1968) were able to classify babies shortly after their birth into three types-"easy children" (adaptable, cheerful, regular in habits), "difficult children" (irritable, crying, withdrawn, irregular in habits), and "slow-to-warm-up children" (inactive, slow to adapt, gentle). About 70% of the difficult babies later developed behavioral problems calling for psychiatric attention; only 18% of the easy ones had such problems (Thomas & Chess, 1984)."

Gotta say, differences in studying or automobile selection by racial background seem highly likely to be culturally rather than genetically determined.
As a parent, I agree that a child’s temperament is often apparent early on. But it still seems like a leap to posit that individual differences in temperament would explain group level differences in achievement later on.

@@sheriffofsodium Scientists estimate that 20 to 60 percent of temperament is determined by genetics.

@Sheriff of Sodium More studies are needed in order to carefully catalog the biological differences and distinctivenesses of various racial and ethnic groups. Then the result of studies need to be taught to those age 10 and up. At the current time there's kind of a reflexive anxiety with regard to propagating this type of information, but we need to get over that. There's way too many people that assume that racism is the root of achievement disparities. Some groups are just not as bright as others on average. Nonetheless there still is a significant overlap in many metrics. For example 20% of blacks are smarter than 50% of whites. This video has information about behaviors and how they vary by race in a way that's unrelated to racism

@@hammockcamping2500 oh man I wonder why there's such a "reflexive anxiety" with studying these things? Whatever could it be? It's almost as if you didn't watch the video and didn't see how IQ (a flawed way of describing intelligence) has increased worldwide. It's almost as if there's a confounding variable that would allow such a rapid change to occur. Genetics FAMOUSLY allows for these changes in a single generation!! Man I wonder why some communities rose faster than others? Could it be that they don't have access to the same resources as others and have been systematically put down? You would fit right in with the eugenics community pre-1939 and their pitiful attempts at "science".

@Hamza Asif Your comment is gone. Haven't you noticed that the RUclips algorithm automatically deletes some comments? Seeing your comment present is not assurance that it is still there! One way to check is to edit your comment. Wait 30 seconds after posting your comment and then add anything to your comment. If editing is not possible, you can know your comment had been deleted. This can be verified by exiting the video and then restarting it. You will see that your comment is gone!
In other instances one's own comment might STILL be visible to ONLY the author. This is what appears to be happening to you. This can be verified by going into RUclips from another's account.
