    I like their new Window cable solution. It’s still not on the website stand-alone though, you gotta ask them for a quote. 60 bucks was steep for just that part alone but it gets the job done of not drilling.

      @@universityrepairFL For a lot of people cable is not an option either it's too expensive or because they live in an unincorporated area they'd have to pay large amount just to get it up their driveway. For the rest of us 5G home internet creates competition to cable and fiber companies to make them keep their prices in line. Cable has very limited uplink speeds which makes it hard to serve. I'm now serving up at 140 megabits per second. Let's see your cable do that

    Newbie here...Is there any way / benefit to hooking up a 4x4 to a hotspot, such as a Jetpack 8800L, that only has 2 antenna ports? Currently only getting 3.2 Mbps download without any antenna.

      a 4x4 MIMO antenna is basically two 2x2 antennas packaged together. You could use only one pair of leads or simply buy a 2x2. WaveForm also makes a 2x2 antenna amzn.to/4fDXhHw It saves you a little money and will probably make a big difference.

    Greetings! We have experienced power loss from a recent storm and our cellular service was nonexistent in the home and no internet service. How can I use this antenna to boost our cellular service to maintain connectivity for weather conditions and calling family members? I’m a novice regarding boosting signal. Thanks so much in advance.

    • @PeterC408
      @PeterC408  3 дня назад

      This antenna is not going to help you Storm Activity. If storms bring down the communications infrastructure, like with electricity, we are going to have to wait for it to be restored. There are some good signal boosters out there but when the tower you want to communicate to is out of commission, we just have to wait. There is a chance that you might be able to reach a further tower that was not affected but we are chasing rainbows with this scenario.

      It is a great question. This is a situation where the more that you know about a given subject, the more you realize that you know nothing. Two 2x2 MIMO antennas should provide more differential between the signals if the antennas run split paired (meaning split the pairs among the antennas). I think that lower frequencies would benefit better from the greater diversity difference but not too far. It depends on the signal you are trying to capture. If it is n71 we are talking about 600MHz. I would love to try this out and would love to hear if someone has more data on this.

      Scores are going to depend on your location and load on the network, so it is better to look for improvements in RSRP, RSRQ and SiNR. They should translate to better speed scores but it is much easier to look here for improvements.

    Hi. Nice video! Just some constructive feedback since I can tell you really care about the video quality. So, this is not a complaint or me trying to be a besserwisser, just me hoping that I can help out with my years of experience as a TV producer who stumbled onto your channel.
    1. It looks like your camera lighting for the green screen setup has multiple color temperatures or that you have direct/indirect sun light. This give you very unnatural skin colors. Either block some of the sun light on or see if you can set your lights to a higher color temperature (5600+)to match the sun light.
    2. When you show of the features on the device, it makes little sense to still be in a small pip (picture in picture). If I'd been you I'd switch to a full screen video or you holding up the device with a neutral background.
    3. When showing small parts, like the ground cable, it would be nice if you had some "b-roll" shots of it that you could cut to in editing. Since you edit these videos anyway, having a close up video recorded with your phone would add a lot to the perceived overall quality and make it easier to understand.
    4. While yo on the roof, I assume you used a built in camera microphone? Audio quality is always more important than video.. Which is boring, because video is more fun. But if you could have something like the Rode Go 2 or the DJI wireless kit I believe it would really increase your audio quality and also the surrounding environment/airplanes would not be as noticeable.
    Hope you found some of my tips useful, keep up the great work! //Ludvig from Qruxel Productions

      Thanks. I am always up for learning something new but I think the problem is not natural light but the light I have in my face is a different color temperature than the ones illuminating the background. Also the background is too close. Perfection is nice but there needs to be a balance of productivity and professionalism.

    • @PeterC408
      @PeterC408  6 месяцев назад

      I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean the satellite WiFi stations? They do not affect my speeds. In general an antenna will improve your signal (RSRP, RSRQ, and SiNR scores). These will usually increase your performance but only to the level that your area can support. If you are in a rural location and already getting good signal, perhaps you are only getting 100Mbps because that is all your local tower can provide because it is getting service from a microwave connection to another tower.

      Your Internet connection is often referred to as your WAN (wide area network) and your Wi-Fi is often referred to as your LAN (local area network, although it could be wired too). Your LAN is free including WiFi, no one has to pay for that... it is your WAN connection that goes to your ISP (internet service provider) that costs money.
