Not situational I’m talking long term success, I can’t think of a Time when this strategy ever worked, but I’ll be honest I’ve only recently really got into a lot of college football, previously I kept up more with the nfl, if there was a time where this worked please let me know, I’d love to watch some of those games
Skipped over all of his brightest moments. 330+ yards no incompletions in the 4th quarter vs #2 Penn state. 300+ yards with near 100 rushing vs #8 Michigan State. 200+ yards with 4 passing TDs and no INTS vs Baker Mayfield in 2016, the list goes on. Bad video

JT broke a ton of Big Ten QB records in his run at The Ohio State. He could ball for sure. He never really had a chance in the league. He was injury prone.
As an Ohio State fan I still to this day can't understand why they kept Joe Burrow on the bench and continued to start JT. He was so frustrating to watch as a fan every big game.

Not surprising. Ever heard of Charlie Ward? Until Kyler Murray, undersized black QBs have always been considered "not pro material". Most analysts said the same thing about Murray, but he had a head coach in Kingsbury that believed in him. Now he's making all those so called experts look foolish. He is not a traditional NFL QB, but he's clearly effective. If not for Kingsbury, Murray may not even be in the NFL today.
He was good definitely butttttt JT had huge confidence issues kinda like marcus mariotta.. flemlo touches on this QB confidence stuff tbh I wanna know more about QB confidence cus it seems hard to shake once it gets you
I mean I’m a diehard OSU fan and I certainly have a soft spot for JT, but in all reality what other position could he have played, yanno? Like yeah he was decently athletic, but he was too slow to play receiver or running back nor was he elusive enough. Tight end would be unlikely too because he’s probably not strong enough to block defensive ends or linebackers.
Ohio State Qbs are good in college but can't adjust to the NFL level...Troy Smith, Terell Pryor, Braxton Miller, Cardale Jones, JT Barett, Dwayne Haskins and its looking more like Justin Fields is going to be another Ohio State qb bust
Some points. JT was never the same after his injury against Michigan in 2014. Also, you fail to mention his performance in a blow out of OU in 2016 and you glossed over the comeback performance against Penn State. In that game, he showed up big time in that game. You can say all you want about him, but it’s disingenuous to ignore over those performances against big time teams to fit your narrative.
This is the highest value stat. I know of no other QB, either side, who started four tOSU-UM rivalry games and went 4-0. That legend transcends all. And both Buckeye and Wolverine fans know it. No Buckeye fan shall ever forget that achievement. JT greatest tOSU QB.
And as far as JT goes if JT wanted a job in Columbus he could have one he was Urban's right-hand man if he wanted a job in Jacksonville he could have one

They don't need their QBs to do anything other than beat the sh*t out of Michigan and make the playoffs. Who cares what they do in the NFL? Oh, and Joe Burrow spent 3 years at OSU (he's an Ohio boy). They'll continue to pull in top QB recruits (Quinn Ewers the latest).
Lol, this comment is funny. This same logic can be applied to any QB that comes out of college, no matter what college you go to there's no guarantee of success at the next level. These scouts don't care what schools these players come from they care if they can produce and justify their draft pick spot, you brought up Fields ignoring the fact that he's a rookie who literally became the starter out of the blue when the goal was to sit him. The fact that you think what you typed actually makes sense and you got six likes shows how fuk'n re-tarded you clowns are when talking sports. Smh

I liked JT alot and I think with urban having the final say on things put a damper on him...in my opinion if he was in this offense today he would have turned out alot better now day is heading the team
Make sure in your thumbnail description you highlight JT was also 4-0 against Ann Arbor 😉
I’m curious has the strategy of trying to play 2 quarterbacks equally or even using 1 WB most of the time then bringing in another WB for certain packages ever really worked?? Not situational I’m talking long term success, I can’t think of a Time when this strategy ever worked, but I’ll be honest I’ve only recently really got into a lot of college football, previously I kept up more with the nfl, if there was a time where this worked please let me know, I’d love to watch some of those games
Urban Meyer's original QB recruit at Ohio State and helped open up the Texas recruiting pipeline.
Bad video
Jalen hurts take didn’t age well
Matt give me more Mikey game review please my boy
JT Barrett was like jalen hurts he just needed to be drafted by a team that would give him a fair shake like the eagles did jalen now loom dude was a mvp candidate and made it to the superbowl and went toe to toe against mahomes
JT broke a ton of Big Ten QB records in his run at The Ohio State.
He could ball for sure. He never really had a chance in the league. He was injury prone.
DUI’s are a serious violation. Was it alcohol or drugs? Or a combination of both?
Irrelevant to his football career. Shouldn't have even been brought up
As an Ohio State fan I still to this day can't understand why they kept Joe Burrow on the bench and continued to start JT. He was so frustrating to watch as a fan every big game.
Joe burrow at Ohio was not the same as hiesman 2nd year lsu jor burrow
@@AE-wi3zb I never said he was but JT was terrible in most of those games as well. Haskins was also behind JT
Burrow was a sophmore...never was in the running in 2017....oh, bc he broke his hand!!!! the two are totally unrelated...Burrow is beloved at OSU and he is always a Buckeye, i know lsu ppl get pissy but joey deserved to start and haskins in 2018 was the rightful heisman winner but got fucked over monumentally. the right choices were made..get over it
He from my hometown Wichita Falls tx
My great uncle was this guy's teacher in high school
Not surprising. Ever heard of Charlie Ward? Until Kyler Murray, undersized black QBs have always been considered "not pro material". Most analysts said the same thing about Murray, but he had a head coach in Kingsbury that believed in him. Now he's making all those so called experts look foolish. He is not a traditional NFL QB, but he's clearly effective. If not for Kingsbury, Murray may not even be in the NFL today.
kinda loving the football videos
He was good definitely butttttt JT had huge confidence issues kinda like marcus mariotta.. flemlo touches on this QB confidence stuff tbh I wanna know more about QB confidence cus it seems hard to shake once it gets you
Statistics and games won doesn’t mean someone is NFL talent
It still blows my mind that Jalen Hurts is an actual starting QB in the NFL.
@ Jalen was drafted in the second round I think.
All osu qbs flame out in the nfl 😂💀🤦♂️
From star qb to nfl position coach.
I thought that was D-Wade
From Wichita Falls Rider High School.
Easy answer :OHIO STATE
Ohio state didn’t ride Jones to a championship they rode Elliot. 674 yards and 8 tds in the post season run
J.T Barrett was a great leader that could transfer to the pro level. He got arrested for domestic violence.
He should have did what Terrell Pryor did. Change positions.
He’s still jobless in the nfl he’s not playing
yeah he showed crazy toughness in that penn st game. I will always remember that
I was kinda getting confused if you were talking about JT Daniels and Bennett a few times there.
Banger
Sounds like there are a lot of salty michigan fans in here. Can i say 4-0 against them. Lol. I know Tom Brady is the 🐐 so don't come at me.
He was a Horrible QB. He crapped his pants against good teams. All he did was run. Good riddance.
Here are my rankings being a Ohio State fan of the most recent QBs
4. JT Barret
3. Dwayne Haskins
2. CJ Stroud
1. Justin Fields
I'd take Barrett over Haskins.
Haskins run was short. Cj just got here. The fact that braxton didnt maje the list implies you only been watching osu football for like 5 years .
@@Swagalious689 I made this list from the championship win and on. Braxton played before it so that’s why he isn’t on the list. Even if he did play a little bit after the championship he switched to wide receiver soon after and this is a list of QB’s
He didn’t rlly preformed when it mattered most
Everything you say during your videos could be put in about 10-15 minutes. Dragging them out, repeating yourself and taking forever to get to the point is annoying.
His numbers were amazing!
this didnt age so well, bro makes at least 50x what you make
Personally playing against him and all the film we watched on him - his intermediate to deep throw ability wasn't there.
What kind of job should J T Barrett have? He sure as hell is no NFL QB. A lot of companies are hiring if he really needs a job.
The Jalen hurts take did not age well
Was that that Michigan State game it rained so hard you couldn't see the players on the field Elliott's leg was hurt wouldn't let him run on a dry day when have not been a good game for Michigan State
Lol my youtube profile pic has j.t in it at qb 😂 🤦🏾♂️
I want more Mikey video matt
Well OSU qb’s don’t ever make it anywhere soooooo fields ain’t doing nothing special history always repeats
They don't need their QBs to do anything other than beat the sh*t out of Michigan and make the playoffs. Who cares what they do in the NFL? Oh, and Joe Burrow spent 3 years at OSU (he's an Ohio boy). Fields looks better than T Lawrence in the league though - I'll give him that much. Dudes a rookie playing behind the worst line in the NFL. Have you seen the receivers on OSU's roster?!
Smh
I think Fields would have a better chance if he had a better coach in the nfl! Matt N. Is not playing to his strengths!
5-0 vs Michigan and is an assistant coach in the nfl
JT Barrett was not a QB, he was a running back playing QB who could throw some times, I thought the biggest error was not giving Jones the entire season and red shirting JT Barret. Look at the numbers Jones put on the board, and the points, that is the big thing. He put out big points. JT Barret few points.
