- The Horror Cave predecessor "Casa Loco" and the original 1967 iteration of Tales of the Okefenokee are shown off here among other things. Note that these films were indeed shot in color originally, but the cheap stock they were printed on resulted in the films taking on an overwhelmingly-red hue throughout the years, which has been altered in this particular rip to look more akin to sepia tone.

2:33 for a split second, the animated bullfrog that was salvaged
Cool, there is also some footage from Sid and Marty Krofft's Les Popees de Paris
But why would the 1967 okefenokee closed if it would be a big success
It _wasn't_ a big success, mate. Six Flags commissioned a redesign specifically because the original Gene Patrick version was proving to be an unimpressive flop.
The Speelunker Cave was a success wasn't it?
Speelunker 1964 it wasn’t by the late 1980s and 1990s the ride was overdated with the animatronics stoped working and broke so it had to be refurbished
Yeah. Six Flags should take good care of their rides.
Speelunker 1964 they should cause by now the monster plantation is a mess with their animatronics rusted and old Six Flags over Texas had no care with outdated stuff in the late 1980s they only really cared about looney tunes, so it was refurbished to that ride witch somewhere in 2016 or 17 they stoped caring about Looney toons and stopped caring about there rides that’s why those bugs bunny animatronics had broke over time you can see in a 2000 footage to a 2018 or 16 footage now the Speelunker Cave is a over flooded ride since 2019 and was never fixed by now the original figures were sold or destroyed only the creator of the cave him self has some of the figures and other people have to. By now I have seen some footage of the Speelunkers in six flags Six Flags wanted to storage some of its animatronics that were destroyed over time but they are not planning to re create old 1960s rides and the creator himself doesn’t seem to really care about the Speelunkers but is planning to re create a VR Version/360 so six flags is a bit of a horrible company and most six flags have broke there Animatronics like the Okefenokee Really the 1990s footage of the cave does show how Six flags doesn’t even care and not sure if the creator was helping them upgrade with old rusty oil sounds and how low the rides music was like in the western band part or with the water snakes busting inside the Speelunkers most people were scared of the ride so six flags did have to shut it down it had a good run from 1964 to 1986 with it can scary in 1987 to 1991 only the creator has the good Speelunkers that work. In the 1970 footage you can see Six Flags took good care of the ride from the 1970s and early 1980s.
The Speelunker Cave will be the oldest running Animatronic ride in Six Flags over Texas and will be missed by 1,000s of people.
3:18 I’m guessing that’s horror cave
That's actually "Casa Loco", the Horror Caves's predecessor. Much like Tales of the Okefenokee, Casa Loco was an original 1967 opening-day attraction that was completely redesigned by the Krofft brothers between the '67 and '68 seasons. Considering how closely that giant grotesque head resembles the Spee-Lunkers of Six Flags Over Texas, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Casa Loco, too, was designed by Gene Patrick.
Okee68 are you sure the head is the speelunker cave cause the speelunkers has huge big eyes
I'm referring more to the style the head is molded in rather than its shape. Both the Spee-Lunkers and the giant head have prominent skin folds, painted-on eyes, and an overall "wrinkly" appearance that's somewhat comparable to paper mache. There's also the fact that the head is located inside of what appears to be a cave of sorts; caves being an element that Patrick incorporated into both The Cave at SFOT (obviously) and Tales of the Okefenokee.
Oh Speaking of that do you have any other info on horror cave? More importantly did any of the props displayed survive?
I haven't heard of any Horror Cave props surviving, but I can give you some pretty decent information on the attraction. First, here's a detailed description of the entire walk-through experience:

Finally, here's a video that features the only footage of the Krofft-era Horror Cave I know of, found directly on my channel:

I love it this is amazing
I think I see Mr. Woodpecker in the Okefenokee Footage
You would be right. He's below Mr. Rabbit in the little band set-up.
What's the Casa De Loco attraction seen at 2:56
Casa Loco was a bizarre walkthrough attraction that lasted for less than a year before being remodeled into the Horror Cave by Sid and Marty Krofft for the 1968 season. Next to nothing is known about Casa Loco as far as I'm aware, but I'm sure that much like the Horror Cave, it had nothing in common with the theming of the park's Spain section. The clips at 3:17 and 3:25 are the only footage of it I've seen.
@@okefenokee_rabbit Oh, I am now interested
2:33 i see da frog
These marionettes at the Krofft puppet theater are creepy
