- Learn Korean language and culture from a qualified teacher. I am an author and an experienced teacher. I am currently teaching Korean language to students from other countries online. It is really exciting to be with people from other countries. I have doctorate degree, and have been a professor at a university in Korea. While serving for the university, I taught Korean language to exchange students and professors from other countries. I wrote doctorate dissertation in Korean. You can also learn some hard vocabulary and complicated Korean sentence structures from me. Because Korean language is a phonetic language, the sounds of words matter. The grammar also heavily depends on the sounds. I teach these sound effects for students' better understanding of Korean grammar. I hope my channel will be a help for those who want to learn Korean language.

Basically add ㅂ니다 when the preceding syllabus is a vowel and 습니다 if preceding syllabus is a consonant. All 하다 verb/adjective will end in 합니다

안녕하세요 크리스토퍼입니다. 만나서 반가워요 선생님 고란추씨. 감사합니다. 저는 한국말 잘 못해요. 죄송합니다. So I'll have to stick to English for the most part for now. I'm trying very hard and learning quite fast. I mostly have a lot of vocabulary to learn at this point.
I hope I got the use of 씨 after your first name right. I know it's impolite and offensive to use it with someone's family name. I just wasn't sure if you were using kolancu as first or last name. I also hope I spelled it right in 한국어, 한국말.
This was very well done. Simple yet precise.
I was so grateful to learn the part about ㅆ showing past tense. Very useful information.

I agree with your statement about your channel.
I want to learn Korean like a Korean would because I want to understand 한국말 like a Korean would.
I don't want to learn to translate in my head. I want to learn to think in Korean in the first place.
If everything goes well I will be moving from the U.S. to South Korea. So I want to be able to understand the language on the deepest level so I can truly understand what is being said and what people will be trying to communicate to me.
I also want to be able to accurately say and write what I am trying to communicate on the deepest level so everyone will truly understand me.
My journey with Korean language started with music, but led me to come to learn about and love South Korean language, history, culture and people.
I actually hope after I get there to some day meet a wonderful woman and fall so deep in love with each other we both glow.
That will require some very deep communication I'm sure.

@@kaimagnus Thank you for your goal and passion about Korean in detail, and here I want to share one of my experiences learning English. I tried to read every English sentence in a loud voice. It worked. The style remained in me. It shortened the time to bring out my sentences from my head. Like Buddhist monks who chant the scriptures every morning, whenever it is possible, just keep saying the sentences loudly. Alone or with others around you, it doesn't matter. You don't don't have to bother to respond to this message, but please think about it. If it works, please let me know later. 감사합니다.
@@kolancu Yes. You may laugh at me, but I run around all day talking in Korean as much as I learn. To others I probably look like a crazy person. Hahaha.
I try to speak and think in Korean as much as possible. I call things around the house by their Korean names. Like I said as much as I know anyway. I have learned the alphabet and pronunciation very well and most of the rules, but I have so much vocabulary to learn. And I have a lot of listening practice to do.
Yes, you are right. Speaking it out loud helps me to practice and also hear my own pronunciation. Unfortunately as things are right now I know I am going to be seen as a foreigner no matter how fluently and naturally I speak the language. So I don't want having a strong accent making it worse.
I have come to realize the deep truth that trying to learn pronunciation by comparing 한글 to a person's native language characters is a bad idea.
It creates paradigms that prevent the learner from being able to correctly hear and understand the language they are learning.
In my limited experience I greatly recommend simply listening to the sound over and over till they accurately learn the proper pronunciation of each character.
I will continue to follow learning as you recommend. If you have any more advice please let me know.
