Looks great, really enjoyed your video…my nephew was married at this hotel although we never stayed there, we still thought that it had a really nice vibe to it.
The last time we stopped there it was in room 300 it’s got magnificent views of the bay a good size room am going back a few years but we booked directly and got free wi-fi which was a surprise and a bonus we will always stop in that room highly recommended 👍🏻
It NEEDS air con. It NEEDS serious updating for the prices they are charging. We used to stay as a treat for very special occasions because we have limited resources. When we last took our family, it was poor. So sad. Y
I used to visit the hotel to service the boilers and hot water system many years ago, all located in the basement, past the swimming pool area. Most times I was in and out in the day but once I was on a later job which ran on into the evening. The maintenance manager organized access to the staff canteen for a meal and it was excellent food.

This place looks well nice I'd love to stay here it's not badly priced during the week I've seen dearer Premier inn's. The only downside to this place I think Jimmy Savile or his mum lived here for abit didn't they ?
We have stayed in an executive room on the top floor when it was newly decorated and it was fantastic. However, we stayed in two rooms on lower floors 2 years ago and they were shocking, my son opened his window and it fell into the room. Both rooms were not clean with chipped and dirty furniture and there was a queue at reception wanting room changes because of the bad conditions. I was one of the very unhappy people who gave a bad review on trip advisor as our weekend was completely ruined and I am still angry about it now. To give a true review of this hotel you need to stay in a standard room , they would struggle to be classed as 2 star and the bad reviews on trip advisor are true as we had the misfortune to experience them.
stay at this hotel every year and have had no problems. The staff are really helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them
I remember attending a function with my girlfriend. It was very enjoyable with excellent food.
We stayed there a couple of years back and really enjoyed it.

No, his flat was further along the Esplanade. Not that it would make any difference to staying here
Saville owned a flat in the same block, further down towards Scarborough centre, not part of the hotel.@@neilrgreatestadventures
