My control freak dad passed away less than two months ago. Guy was most likely a narcissist. Had the classic behavior and habits that a narcissist has, tho I didn't really accept how toxic he was til my mid to late 20s. I had been deep in denial about how little my parents actually cared about my emotional wellbeing (sometimes even my physical wellbeing). Always kept saying "you can't do this because of this and that". And I believed him and was desperate for my family's approval anyway. Wasted my entire 20s on bullshit that my heart wasn't into when I could have been doing what I wanted to do with my life. Yes I was brainwashed, but now it is on me to start over at 31. I am envious of people who have just started their adult life. Don't ever waste your time and effort on pleasing people who don't really care that much about you anyway. Live for you. You only got one life. You only have so many years of life and even less years of youth. Do NOT squander it. All it gives you in the end is regret.

This IS the most powerful video I've heard, probably for all of this year and it just started. I feel motivated to do what i didn't do the last 4 years. I DID improve at what I love to do, fortunately, even though I was in the lowest part of my life in most of my 20's, It was God's grace that kept me going, improving my talents, even without making a dime with it, i still got more powerful AT the thing I do.... and now it's time to take it to the next level and turn it into my career this year.
