I would use a little heat on that tunnel piece. I keep a cheap butane torch, one of those pistol shaped deals, on my model bench for such things. Just a quick pass or 2. I also would not cut out that shifter hole until it's shaped and happy. Those corners of that notch need to be more rounded. That'll help too. That 29 Roadster pickup is sweet. Yeah, that's a deuce grille and shell. Tell us more about the parts going into it. I've been interested in that thing since it 1st showed up in your videos. I like the Pinto short track mini stock too. I have plans to build one myself. Another idea for a Pinto is a B/Sedan SCCA racer. Then there's my idea for a Pinto Cobra. 302 V8. Wide wheels and tires. Flared fenders. Side exhaust. Or an IMSA road racer. 2.3l turbo. Big fenders with air outlets at the backs. BBS wheels like in the Revell Mustang kits. Maybe a spoiler or wing. Front air dam. Or a gasser with a straight axle and a Hilborn injected small block Ford V8. So many possibilities.
I got the tunnel in it, although it didn't want to co-operate. I did sand and file the corners and finally got it fitting right, that helped a lot. The pickup, awe man, I honestly don't remember what kit the frame, rearend or motor come from. I opened one of my old boxes in the attic and it was the way you seen it, minus the bed and body. That came from the 29 woody kit. I set it on there and it worked. I'm still picking through boxes of old parts trying to find more stuff I need. Any of those ideas you mentioned would make for a cool Pinto race car. True, possibilities are unlimited. Thanks Feller, I appreciate ya.
Thant Earnhart car looks real good, show us a finished car here soon! Pinto is looking pretty cool. I understand about time during the work week, I'm gone 15 1/2 hours a day when I'm working, so, pretty much nothing gets done on those days.
Pinto is looking good. Burnout sucks! That's why I get 2 kits going at the bench. I agree with you on Earnhardt, too. Wasn't a big fan of him, but I repected him. Will never forget the day he died. Seeing the ambulance drive away slow, told me it wasn't good.
Same here, i usually have a few different things going on. That was a terrible day for sure. I remember that day well. Like him or not, A legend was lost that day. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate ya.
I was about to put the Pinto on a Grumpy Jenkins kit and make a drag car but this group build steered me away from screwing up my Grumpy kit. Did they ever make a Chevette kit? that would make a cool drag car. Thanks for checking it out, I appreciate it.
I've seen some that was fast, Actually those 2.3 engines will make good power with the right parts in them. Thanks for checking it out JT, I appreciate it.
The Pinto is coming along, it looks good.
The AA/G Model A roadster pickup is awesome, gotta love a parts box build.
Thanks Red, I appreciate it. I might get it eventually.
Pinto is looking good, cool shop truck Markus, enjoy the weekend buddy, 😎👍
Thanks Tom, have a good safe weekend as well.

Thanks for checking it out. I have several unfinished builds that needs attention. Maybe someday I'll have a finished model. Thanks again.
Maybe a little low heat like a hair dryer would help your tunnel bend. Your #3 is looking sweet! Happy Friday 😎👍
I've had it taped around a tube all night, if that don't help the wife's hair dryer is next. Thanks for checking it out, I appreciate it.

There should be a shop truck group build.
That would produce a lot of cool shop trucks on here.
