Been a customer/fan of Fenton's for a few decades. Does anyone remember FARRELL'S ice cream parlor in Fremont back in the 70s? Similar family party vibe. Your appetite fascinates me, man hehe!!
They did bring back Farrell’s. There were 4 or 5 locations in the Los Angeles area as well as Sacramento in the original location. It was very similar to old style Farrell’s. I believe they closed down all locations about 5 years ago.
Michael, I think we are gonna go here for a special occasion ! We live hours away! Can you give me some special places to have dinner or things to see and do if we visit this area. Thank you in advance. 😊
Hi Mary, happened to see your comment. I have relatives visiting the U.S. for the first time from Australia and I just toured them around the SF area for a day. I can send you the itinerary I created if you’d like. I can list it here too but don’t want to affect the comments.
You didn't even try the Black and Tan Sundae! That is the masterpiece ice cream sundae of Fentons. You must go back and order the Black and Tan Sundae.
@@MikeLimTravel I second Buffalo Bills for a good Ricochet red ale and a Bill's burger, it hits! New ownership since about a year or so ago but they did a great job of keeping the heart and soul the original owners!
You don't go to Fentons for the sandwiches or fries. You go there for the ice cream sundaes. Period. Goin' there for a sandwich is like going to the House of Prime Rib in San Francisco and ordering fried chicken.
Ever since ownership changed from the 41st street store to Piedmont Ave. their ice cream, call it super premium or not, is NOT as rich as it used to be. Food is OK although overpriced.
@@warrenfong500 , I heard there is a similar style ice creamery in Castro Valley called Knudsen’s and there is also San Francisco Creamery in Walnut Creek. What’s your favorite ice cream parlor?
Been going there since I went to college at UC Berkeley in the early 1970's. It can't be beat.

I loved Farrell's as a kid. Somebody should bring back a modern day version of it!!

I remember Farrell’s! My cousin and I used to go to the Farrell’s at Eastridge Mall in San Jose.
That Sundae looks amazing!
Bro , this video makes me wanna Fenton’s asap .
So many memories.

I hope that crab sandwich is real crab! At this price!😊
I gained 50 lbs. just from watching.
Try the Ruben at Refuge at the Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo😋
@@RoderickTom-ge1vc , it’s on my list. Thank you for the suggestion
Best Rubens and pastrami sandwiches ever.
TOWNBIZ!
At least your car won't get stolen................ during the day
Bro , u gotta hit up the legendary Buffalo Bills in Hayward
@@georgetsekouras8292 , ok. I’ll check it out

Michael... what? Didn't get brain-freeze? LOL! 🤣
Of course the sugar helps with the taste 🤫😱

Crab melt alittle pricey
Everything is a little pricey now. Restaurant prices have gone up 25-35% since the pandemic.

Some of those prices are wack
@@skullyblog7183 , definitely not budget friendly.
Fun place to go. Crab sandwich and a black and tan sundae: hit!
i think overhyped - the prices are a bit high
@@trixie9867 , I heard there is a creamery similar called Knudsen’s in Castro Valley. Do you have a favorite creamery/ice cream parlor?
Overrated ice cream parlor.

Overrated and service is slow, even when they are not busy in the morning. I stopped tipping.
