I pray we're all spared after going through hurricane Beryl and the awful aftermath here in Galveston County Texas. This heat is so horrible, especially when your finances don't enable you to fix an ac problem plus trying to pay the huge electric bill caused by both issues!! As to hurricane season, Did we under estimate the Saharan dust? I feel we’re dodging a bullet and the challenge is to stay vigilant. It only takes half a day over our super warm waters to go from zero to oh no. I’m grateful to weatherman plus for giving me the best info to keep me safe as I travel cross country. Glory to God and gratitude to the helpers.
Thanks Mark. We got 3/4 of inch of rain here in NW Louisiana. We desperately needed it. I threw fertilizer and disked for my deer plots Saturday. This rain hit just in time to melt it good.

Im in Eastern CT and we didn't get hardly any rain at all here, yet 50 miles west they got the nasty flooding and storms all day. Hoping everyone recovers quickly.
It's amazing how different the ensembles are. I don't think we'll meet the high numbers that were expected this season. It doesn't feel like the atmosphere will amp up that much to get to where they thought we'd be. I had a big thunderstorm last night here in NJ. I'm looking forward to the pleasant weather coming. Oh man it's going to be a very busy September for the Tropics in the Atlantic. Keep an eye from Sept 1-8th for Hurricane development. Couple of waves will be coming off the coast of Africa. It never fails because that's peak season for Hurricane development.

Wish we could get a good tropical storm in the Gulf to bring some much needed rain to south central Texas, we are so far behind on rainfall from the past 3 years.
We could see potentially Hurricane Helene possibly hitting the northeast and eastern seaboard soon as September 3rd, after Francine and Gordon are formed as tropical storms somewhere around August 25-29.

Central Texas here an it's typical playbook of intense triple digits and dry ! Typical playbook for September is 90s .. Late September typical playbook is 80s some rain occasionally - October typical playbook is much cooler day temp of 75-85 cool nights around 55-60 Hurricane season in August and Sept typically bring rain but it's catrosophic for the coast unfortunately . Autumn 🍂🍁 leaves??? Typically late October early November .. I'm pushing THRU this heat dome and just waiting for mid Oct .. Perfect weather us Texans look forward to .. 🍁🍂🍂🍁 🍁🍂🍂🍁🍂🍁
