The amusement park is one of the first times I started questioning myself in my first playthrough. Here are these apparent killing machines, having thrown off the idea of violence entirely and just dancing around and having a good time. Some are even on break, acting like completely normal...people.
God this game is awesome. And this remake of the song sounds like what would play against some kind of boss encounter outside the actual boss, maybe toward the end of the game or something.
When I heard this song for the first time during my playthrough, it sounded happy and nice, but now, when I know every plot detail it sounds HAUNTING and creepy for me. Repetitive manner of the melody actually reminds me of "the cycle", it almost represents futility in madness of machine lifeforms, trying to understand humans, doing the same things all over and over again imitating them, but still unable to get over their own nature. So strange...
The amusement park is rather late to be honest. The desert was already pretty blunt about the conclusion.

@Shuichi Saihara yeah me too, i got a trauma from this, but this is another things who make the atmosphere of NieR, who make what it is
I still let them live nonetheless knowing perfectly that if i would beat the network of main enemy they would turn back and they kind of reminded me of depressed people IRL

Rena does an amazing job with these Nier songs.....
Yeah, it's hard to figure out how exactly the Chaos Language should be spoken because as we all know, it's literal gibberish but also it *might* have some borrowed words from various languages.
I remember the first time I strolled in there. There was this sense of awe, decay, life, insanity, death, hope and despair blending all at once.
Really stood there for a whole five minutes unable to do anything. There's something so special about this. So thank you so much for this.
That's the only place of the game that really stood with me because of exactly that, loved the rest of the game, but the amusement park in specific was so special and memorable thanks to exactly what you said.
Yeah, same here, up until that point you saw machines, you went into attack mode and whacked them. When I got here, then the music started and saw the machines being happy(?) and peaceful? I was so confused and kept thinking, this might be a trap. But it wasn't. Even their tank was only shooting confetti!
This music represents one of my favourite areas of Nier Automata... I approve!

Nier Automata has a good soundtrack ngl, i finished run a 2 days ago, and in my opinion i dont know why people says that is a deep game with good history, for me the run a felt a little bit confusing and boring. I hope the run b and c gets better.
Edit: Sorry for my bad english, i think.
This just turns a slightly bad theme in Nier Automata into one that is 1000 times better.
