- I played Pokemon Scarlet for 130 hours- here's a video sharing my adventure through paldea as I find a bunch of shiny pokemon! This was very fun to make and I hope you enjoy!

This format of storytelling is SO lovely with your commentary! I love how friendly and attached you are to your favorite Pokemon, and how you say "Hi, friend!" when you see a new shiny.
I feel as if "Periwoople" is such a cute, distinctive name, that maybe a cute/silly name would suit Abomasnow? Like... FROSLINA to go with Froslass! Or "Sprucie", since it would sound cute with Periwoople.

Shiny hunting in this game has been really fun! Buttertusk the shiny great tusk with the cloudwatcher mark and Ursula the shiny brute bonnet with the sleepy mark have been staples on my team. I love them so much. To anyone else that's also shiny hunting: You can do it, just DO NOT give up. Your special shiny WILL show up sometime, and when that happens, you'll be even more inspired to continue other hunts. Good luck shiny hunters!

Thank you so much! Haven't touched Scarlet/Violet yet but I've been hunting for shiny alpha Hisuian Zorua/Zoruark with no luck, only 1 regular shiny so far. The RNG manipulation method didn't bring me luck either but I hope that one day..
Tell this to my luck. One day I found a shiny Gothitelle, and then tried Vaporeon, then Magneton, the Bronzong, then Flittle, then Magneton again, then Noibat, THEN GOGOAT, THEN FINIZEN, THEN GOGOAT AGAIN, AND THEN PSYDUCK.
NOTHING.

I got my first shiny before I even got to the first town. A shiny Lechonk. I had not intended to use Lechonk. though I did think it was cute. His name is Rosendo, and he was my constant companion throughout Paldea, because if the game gives you a shiny in the first two minutes YOU USE THAT SHINY ON YOUR TEAM.

I wonder if it's a little bonus from the devs. In my Violet playthrough, I found a shiny Hoppip shortly after reaching the first pokemon center.
In my Scarlet playthrough, I found a shiny Hoppip before I'd even reached the lighthouse! It was the sixth pokemon on my team xD

This has nothing to do with shinies but I agree with area zero being the best area in the game. Especially when we first go there in the story. Just being there without your legendary and having the commentary from your friends in the background and just getting to really witness it all was so damn cool. One of my favorite parts of any Pokémon game
Big agree! This might be controversial but I like that you have to traverse it on foot. It adds to the sense of both grandeur and danger.

I'm halfway through the game still. 8 badges so far... but 100 hours playtime. Once I started shiny hunting I just couldn't stop myself. Not even worried that I need herbas or the charm. It's enjoyable even without those. Already at 17 shiny hunted this past week and a half.
The hughlight of my week was yesterday. I was hunting Pawmo and got a few.. but next to that I got 3 FULL ODDS SHINY. All of them few minutes apart from each other. Of 3 different species that weren't from my Pawmo outbreak. Marril, Buizel and Psyduck. They all appeared in the same spot too which leads me to believe something was going on there due to how often that spawn point gave me the 3 different full odds shiny
I love how all three of the full odds shinies were water types 😂

One of my favorite parts about this game is how for the first few days, I had no shinies, but I eventually found a few.
Then when I completed the story lines and made my way through Area Zero for the first time, I found a full odds shiny Venomoth as well as a full odds shiny Scream Tail.
I think they wanted to avoid too many sparkles on the over world bc it would confuse audiences with the overworld terrastelized pokes but I think the Arceus noise and brief glimmer would be perfect still TwT
Once I get Scarlet/Violet, I would not be surprised is I walk past any shinies since I somehow can't see stuff other people can (distance wise in video games, despite a parent and my sister needing glasses), and im geussing its either I get too focused on other stuff or its just that I can't focus enough to spot out stuff... and the shiny indicators are the best thing for me to find a shiny, even if it doesn't appear in front of me, I could atleast hear that there is a shiny nearby and look for it
I don't currently have a ton of shinies, but I do have my beloved Paradox shinies. I am only missing 3 of those beautiful Chrome boys!

I actually got the game yesterday for my birthday, and today, I got my first Shiny, which was a Paldean Wooper! I was really excited about it too!

As I was watching the video,I was playing scarlet and as soon as you found the first shiny paldean wooper,a full odds shiny stuky popped up on my game.
My first shiny in Scarlet was a Buizel after only 4 hours of total playtime on release date, I couldn't believe that I got so lucky

I actually plan on doing a playthrough of violet! I just couldn’t do a blind playthrough of scarlet because Nintendo of Canada needed me as their resident Pokémon expert for an event so I kinda have to know about the games 😂

I actually found a shiny before I even got Miraidon. In the first area with wild pokemon, right after the obligatory catching tutorial, I wandered around a little, turned around, and saw a big ol' ball of red string hanging from a tree. Unfortunately, Tarountla kinda sucks, so he got sidelined pretty quickly. I did however find a pink Mareep fairly quickly who I kept with me for the entire story because Ampharos is great.

I always try to match the shiny pokemon color to the ball color, it hurts a little when others don't and just catch everything in a quick ball haha

i've not been playing Scarlet that long, only just finished the main story, and so far i've found 2 random full-odds shinies- a li'l capsakid and a cetoddle, which are now a scovillain and cetitan respectively. i love my discoloured children
I was roaming around area zero talking to my friend when I found my first 2 shiny Pokémon within 5 minutes. The only boost was Saturday with increased the shiny odds by a small amount. But seriously my first 2 shines, after 3 months
i got a full odds shiny bounsweet when i ended a picnic, and my friend traded me a shiny jumpluff :)

I've got a shiny tinkaton with the anxious tag, it's funny considering it immediately ran away as I was trying to save infront of it
Shiny Sparkles or sounds would be so much better not just for the subtle shinies but for the itty bitty pokemon like tadbulb, Flittle, and Sinestea whose sprites are so so tiny. The only reason I found my shiny Nymble is because I ran over him with my dragoncycle.
Absolutely! I wanted to hunt for tadbulb and flittle but with their subtle shiny changes and them being so small, it’s just a pain 🥲

As someone who doesn't shiny Hunt, I was surprised when I found three shiny Pokémon, two in Scarlet, and one in Violet.
The first one, was a shiny Girafig in Area Zero, and then a shiny Gyarados at North Provice Area 3, both in Scarlet.
The third one was a Shiny Lechonk at the very beginning of the game (South Province Area 1), before I even went to Mesagoza for the First time.
These are the first Non-forced shiny Pokémon I ever encountered and caught. The only other Shiny Pokémon I've encountered was a shiny Pidgy in Soul Siver MANY years back when I played Pokémon for the first time (I think it was my second run-through of the game). HOWEVER, it was early enough in the game to where I Couldn't even HAVE Pokéballs yet. I was so upset.
But now I have three full odds shiny Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet, so I'm a little less upset about it.
(Also congrats for reading all the way through this if anyone did.)

I’ve got 5 shinies, pre credits. Teacup the rookidee I found hunting sinistea for ceruledge and used on my team, Noibat from an outbreak, swablu I looked up and saw while I was trying to catch a tera mimikyu which was incredibly stressful, gogoat while hunting for stakes and levelling my team and Zero the girafarig I found just before research station 3 during the story. I’ve never had a playthrough shiny before this is insane XD
