I read the comics long before the show came out. The show is much better, IMO. If you don't like the first issue, just a warning that it doesn't get any better. The ideas are there, but the show somehow improves on the comics to an astonishing degree.
Agreed. The comic is so unrelentingly dark, ugly, pessimistic, and gross , it’s hard to get through. The fact that the writer absolutely HATES superhero stories is splashed boldly across every panel. The live-action series, while faithfully capturing the brokenness of the characters and the world they inhabit, manages to also humanize many of them. And somehow, it shows us a glimmer of optimism hiding behind all the ugliness.

Very cool figure. Love all the accessories. The thing that looks like a grinder is a whisk for frothing the tea.

The mafax version is over $100and the NECA version is too big....
