Hammer was hungry and Stupid Death Yell was the song that was making noise at Macola Records and that's where I met Hammer and his brother Louis Burrell and they pressed Let's Get It Started down at Macola Records as well and I took the songs to Capitol Records and told Step Johnson Dwayne Edwards and his assistant Joey Bailey they were ready ready to be signed and so that I'm clear I'm not saying that he didn't do that at their club. I was in the process of starting the first Rap Department at capitol records. Capitol signed Hammer Mellow Man Ace ... King T and my artist M Walk and The Union. Johnathan Clark helped me put the Department together and myself Lionel Ridenour and Jeff House were the ones who ran the street team style Rap division in a major record label..... Doug Young
